Sheboygan serves up high quality hotdogs & brats and beer at the Excel!…read more I found (I think) at least 2 of these locations on the first floor. We walked a complete circle of the entire arena before we decided what we were going to eat & drink. Luckily, Sheboygan was super close to our seats. I was impressed by the high quality brats and hotdogs...not just cheap fast food stuff we were forced to buy in the old days. I didn't expect this at a large venue. It was a nice surprise. Also, they have a variety of beer flavors, including higher end IPA type beers in case you're sick of the usual Bud Light type of stuff. Of course, they have soda & water too. I made 4 or 5 trips for meat and beers for our small group. Despite being super damn busy, the people behind the counter were consistently fast, friendly, smiling, and joking around. No sour faces...no sarcasm...just straight up great customer service for everyone in line. Thanks for some great brats & beer and big smiles, Sheboygan! -Daddy Maxx Retro

Fries were great, but I took him to go and eating in the car is not the same. I've tried the two originals,Matt's and the 5-8, and the upstart Blue Door, among others, but we may have a winner in The Nook. First off, the atmosphere is exactly what a Nook should be: small and comfortable. The service was attentive, friendly and helpful. I noticed that was all the staff not just my server. I also appreciated the obligatory warning about the melted middle of my Lucy. Speaking of which, I tried the #7 Burger (it was recommended when I asked as it had more cheese and bacon). The Burger was flavorful and perfectly cooked. The cheese cheater exploded as a good Lucy should. A 10/10 experience. The hand-cut fried added to the experience and were a great compliment to the burger The beer was cold and refreshing, the food superb, and the staff welcoming. Not much more one can ask for. If you don't wanna wait, you can sit at the bar downstairs - or even put an order in at the bar and eat at the lanes. We ended up getting seated in the basement, which I highly recommend! The food was classic - great wings, great fries, great ranch, and awesome Jucy Lucy burgers. The ambiance here is top notch, especially in the basement. Very solid bar food, and though service is stretched a bit thin still a great experience. Bring cash for a soft serve cone after!!

(Probably good cuz you gotta work off the calories from those malts...) I actually saw this place advertised on a road sign for eateries to expect on the next exit. Usually those get covered in all the food chains like Taco Bell and junk, so my interest was piqued and I announced my enthusiasm to my hubbie that we try it. DELICIOUS. We arrived on a lovely sunny spring day, so we chose to dine outside on their patio area. The inside had a fun retro cafe aesthetic that I'm sure we'll enjoy during the cooler months at some point too. The staff was incredibly friendly and in a good mood, which added to my own happiness upon arrival. We were seated and given menus to study, and I do mean I had to thoroughly study it. Picking out what I wanted was TOUGH. Everything looked mouth-wateringly good, but I finally settled on the patty melt on the marbled rye with the waffle fries. Excellent choice, and it was so humongous of a portion that I ended up taking half home and reheating it in my air fryer another day. Love that! Hubbie and I shared a large chocolate malt, which they gave us two glasses to pour into. It was also delicious. All the prices seemed pretty reasonable, especially for nowadays the way the economy is. IYKYK. We're already planning the next time we'll be back! Yummy yummy in my tummy!

Our server was super nice and even gave us a discount for giving us the wrong food before we needed to mentioned it. I got the salted Carmel and brownie malt. They kinda lacked the brownie but was still good taste overall. Appetizer: Cheese curds were decent, not super strong flavor but not oily and decent portion. Side of onion rings were pretty good. Again not strong flavor but made well. Upcharge $2 (service didn't mention) Atmosphere: Kinda loud because it's a smaller restaurant and harder to hear the person across from you. Nice older classic decor and look. Been there since 1986. Unfortunately the entree food was not good... Disappointed on the California Burger. Had no flavor. The tomato was bland and soggy, the meat had no seasoning or flavor. The avocado was dull and tasteless, Only good part on it was the lettuce. My boyfriend order the turkey club but didn't get that, the server knew it was the wrong order but still brought it to us. My bf didn't want to say anything, and the server said he took something off the bill (which we thought meant took the sandwich off, but gave us $9 off the bill) Overall. It was a decent, the appetizer, and malts are nice. But I wouldn't go there for the entrees.
