Stanley's is okay, but compared to the more inventive and different food trucks along Marquette, they're a little bland.
My sister and I decided to go here because she was in a rush and their line was one of the shortest. They actually do get a good stream of customers- they're just way faster! That's one of the things I liked- the staff was friendly and efficient. They've got their operations down to a T.
I ordered the quinoa veggie burger meal deal with sweet potato chips (packaged... not made by Stanley's) and a Fiji water. The burger itself was really good- you could tell that they make the patties themselves. The bun it was served on was huge- a little too much carb action for my taste. The sauce they used was basically just honey mustard, nothing special, and they load it with onions, tomatoes, and lettuce. It's a little difficult to eat and get it all in your mouth (first world problems.. Amirite?).
My sister got the brisket tacos which were pretty good! A huge serving for $8, comes with guacamole and queso and salsa and meat. I wish it would have had something else though. Pico maybe? I liked these more than my veggie burger.
Overall, Stanley's is dependable and you're not ordering anything scary. I'd go here again if I was in a hurry or if a friend suggested it, but I wouldn't go out of my way to come back. Part of the fun with food trucks is trying something new! read more
