Our neighborhood go-to "American" Chinese place. Always consistent. Delivery is quick, efficient and they definitely don't skimp on portions. We generally get two or three meals out if it. The combo fried rice (add egg) is a must. The crab rangoons are decent, but a little bit of imitation crab meat would be a nice compliment the fried cream cheese. Went on a weekday for soup during freezing temps. To start, you have to order at counter, no one greets you or welcomes you in. Wonton soup was hot, but Egg Drop soup was barely warm and tasted funny. Fried wontons tasted stale and were also served warmed, like they sat under heating lamp all day. Delicious Chinese and curbside (to the trunk) service during COVID 19. We ordered takeout from here and did the curbside service. The ordering process and payment process were simple. We got the jalapeño chicken, chicken dumplings, edamame, tofu, and lo mein. Serving sizes were ample and the food was very tasty. Not like most Chinese places that have a bit too much of a sweet kick. The tofu was perfectly done with just a thin layer of breading. Moon Wok has some of the best vegetarian options I've seen at a Chinese take-out place! (Many of the dishes labeled vegetarian seem to be vegan - no egg - too, unless there's some egg hiding in the batter on the fried tofu, which I doubt.) I ordered: - General Tso's mushrooms: phenomenal. Battered mushrooms in that sweet American-Chinese sauce we all love. Super! Best fresh, but okay re-heated. - Sesame tofu: fried tofu w/ a sweet, very slightly spicy, sticky good sauce. Really tasty! - Broccoli/veggies with garlic sauce: this was really great; fresh and delicious. I also tried a couple of dishes involving egg: veggie mu-shu (good, but I wouldn't get it again), and hot and sour soup (really fantastic, and I'd definitely order this again.) They do take-out or delivery, and you can customize each dish with your level of spice. With your entree, you can decide if you want white rice, "fried rice" (which, as a side, is basically seems to just be rice with soy sauce, not like the fried rice that you order as an entree), brown rice for $1 extra, or plain lo-mein (just the noodles) for $2 extra. This is the biggest, yummiest, eggiest, meatiest pork fried rice I have ever had! I was at the high noon Mass for The Assumption of Mary at St. Patrick. Our priest Father Ignacio spoke of his memories of this occasion from his earliest days. He mentioned how as a small child he always looked forward to the celebration that came after, with sweet breads and chocolate! At the end of his homily, he suggested going to a nice lunch to continue our celebration of Mary, the Mother of Christ. Driving away, I was smitten with a massive craving for pork fried rice. Not being familiar with the non-buffet-oriented Chinese restaurants in the area, I hit Yelp to find a candidate, hoping in the process to identify a future locality for non-buffet Chinese dining. I found Moon Wok and walked in. I spoke to the lady at the counter and told her I wanted a BIG PORK FRIED RICE! And add an egg roll and a drink. Son, I was NOT disappoint! When I saw the plate coming at me like a battering ram, I already knew I was going to be getting a to-go box. The large dish was piled inches high with ricey, meaty goodness, and they certainly didn't let me down in the egg category. The egg pieces were numerous, large, yellow and voluminous. I was really thinking about the eggs on the way there. They're critical and I was amazed that I didn't even have to ask for a lot of egg as I thought I might. And the meat... no mere, small cubes of pork, but great, honking HUNKS of pork white meat. Behind every grain of rice was a hunk of pork! I found myself pushing away pork to get at the rice! And the old restaurant trick that we've all come to expect was not employed here. The meat was not just stacked on top to make it look like there was a lot. There really WAS a lot! All throughout the rice, from large pieces all the way down to small pieces! It was very fun digging through there with my chopsticks, because I always knew there'd be more porcine goodness at every turn. And it was TENDER and flavorful! The egg roll was great, as well. I won't expend too much energy on the description. It held it's own. That much I will say. The rest of the dish was your usual peas and carrots... and I added a good amount of soy sauce (after I tasted the fried rice first!!!!) and it was a creation from Heaven! This was the best pork fried rice I've ever had in 53 years of life!!!!! And I still have HALF of it at home for tonight!!!!!! All this for $11.03! :-D I must say... this was a meal fit for the celebration of The Assumption of Mary! Thanks, Father Ignacio, for the suggestion! I WILL be back here again. As usual, four stars is like five from me. They may grow to five stars after I've been there a few more times, but five stars is a measure of continuing quality and service, so it can't really be assessed in a single visit. read more

The pork fried rice easily had 4 eggs in it, a TON of pork, and loaded with veggies. The quality/ portions of the food here make me feel like I'm being cooked for as if I'm family. Incredible food. My husband and I were craving some Chinese food yesterday and have been searching for a new 'go-to' place for our cravings, when we found Moon Wok on Yelp. The location is perfect, and tucked away into the little strip mall off of Skillman and Royal Lane. We were pleased with the cost for our dinner: $20 for two egg drop soups, an order of crab Rangoon's, 2 orders of Sweet and Sour Chicken, fried rice and 2 egg rolls.
