Moon Rabbit is a bubble tea shop that offer rice bowls, specials and boba milk teas located within Grand Central Market. I had a Mango Limade. It was just decent fruit tea drink; nothing really stand out unfortunately. Staff were nice and competent. Overall, I had a modest tea drink.
Moon Rabbit was my choice of food at Grand Central Market! I spent a lot of time walking around and seeing which caught my eye. The one that decided it for me was how big the boba tea was! Then once we were at check out, the chicken satay grabbed my attention as well! As for the taste, the Gold Label Thai Tea was really smooth, creamy, and had the right amount of sweetness to it! The chicken satays were the highlight as it tasted really good paired with the peanut sauce. I would definitely order that again next time!
The service was awesome and I didn't have to wait too long. This place you walk up to window and order, and when ready they call your number and voila. There are seatings out in the dining area as this is in the Grand Central Market. I enjoy the drink I ordered, which is called Sea Salt Coconut Cream. So tasty.

Conveniently located in Grand Central Market if you have a boba craving! I stopped by Saturday around 12pm and there was a short line in front of me. I did my research ahead of time and knew I wanted to order the white rabbit frappe ($7 with boba). If you want no ice, they will charge you an extra $1 (something that turns me off from boba places) so I asked for less ice but found the the ice amount to still be about 25% of the cup AND they only filled it to above half an inch below the rim. As for the taste, the drink was very creamy - I wouldn't say it tastes like white rabbit but rather some kind of sweet milk. The boba was nice and chewy as well, though rather sparse. For $7 in LA, I thought the prices were pretty generous but I do think the cup sizes are just normal - don't be fooled by the width (it's shorter in height than the normal boba cups). If I am ever craving boba after a meal at Grand Central, I think this will satisfy the cravings! Otherwise, drive to Little Tokyo for more options!
Was walking around and the chicken satay and coconut rice caught my eye. They have a combo for 20 dollars with drink that i felt was a pretty good value. The egg-roll add-on i feel for two dollars could be better. Do not recommend getting the egg-roll, it was super small and was not special. The satay chicken i feel could be a-lot more flavorful. It seemed to be lacking spice. The rice i also seemed to be missing the coconut. Seemed just like normal rice. I got the rose green tea. It was pretty good! I would recommend this, and not really the food. It took about 15 minutes after ordering to receive the food.
I visit Grand Central Market a fair amount, but this was my first time trying Moon Rabbit, which I just found out is run by the same folks as the Thai place Sticky Rice just around the corner. Perhaps they share a kitchen? I was lured here by their DineLA special, a Thai BBQ chicken rice bowl with boba tea. That's pretty much what they offer: savory bowls and boba teas. My tea of choice was the brown sugar milk tea, which was fairly large and full of boba. I don't often order boba because I have a fear of accidentally aspirating one through the large straw, but these were luckily on the smaller side and went down the correct pipe (esophagus instead of lung). The tea was tasty and a decent-sized serving with the usual vacuum-sealed top that you punch your straw through to drink. The bowls are cooked to order, so the chicken took a while, but it too was tasty and nicely presented with some fresh greens, crispy shallots, radish slices and a sweet chili dipping sauce. I hope to try Sticky Rice in the future.
Got me some eggrolls from Moon Rabbit while at Grand Central Market. They only offer veggie, and I was told it comes in a order of three, but they gave me 6 pieces in the box. There was no wait to order, and staff was friendly. It took about 10-15 minutes to be ready. The eggrolls were really good, stuffed with fresh veggies and crispy on the outside. The sauce they gave on the side was unexpectedly spicy... VERY spicy!

They should take the mango sticky rice drink off the menu, though; the employee said that she hasn't seen sticky rice inventory in a while and doesn't know why it's still advertised. Ambiance is a very cute (and crowded) stall amid fun chaos of Central Market! Despite the rain, it was still pretty crowded. White Rabbit frappe tasted like melted high quality vanilla ice cream. It was very sweet but the melting ice was nice. Menu says it's a frappe but I'm not actually sure if there was any coffee. Yuzu Matcha tasted like yuzu matcha only a bit watered down/mellow for my preferences. Neither drinks were made with toppings but I think white rabbit frappe would be great with standard tapioca to help mellow out the sweetness, and the yuzu matcha would get that missing tang from citrus jellies. Overall, enjoyable but nothing that stands out aside from the aesthetic.
This place is pretty cute the drinks are fragrant which I really enjoy and the ambiance is fun as well they are located in a busy plaza surrounded by food and other places and their boba shop definitely stands out because of the cups they have! They're this cute circular shape and it's almost like a bucket. Every time I visit LA I come here to grab some boba it's such a fun place.

I was looking for a quick matcha boba and they didn't quite offer but still had high quality green tea powder. The Thai green tea was the best option recommended by clerk. One size but semi affordable under $8. I sub oatmilk which is +2 but worth it because it's superior. It was basically like matcha, deep green and seems more authentic green tea serving. It was semi sweet the way I prefer. Definitely a go to spot in this dining hall. Also quick with service. When in doubt, boba!
Longer wait time than I thought especially since there wasn't a long line or anything. Loved the size of the cup and drink. Added bonus of cute branding!

We initially got a little lost following GPS , but we eventually found it. It's perfect for a hot day! We ordered a few drinks, and the wait was surprisingly quick with no line. After placing our order, the staff gave us a number to wait for our drinks. They offer a variety of unique drinks that you won't easily find elsewhere. The prices range from $5 to $6 for a regular size, with an additional charge for boba add-ons. Keep in mind: Since this stall is inside Grand Central Market, it can get quite crowded, especially on weekends. Be prepared for a bustling environment! Overall, the drinks were 4/5, and we'd definitely stop by again for something refreshing.
I had the best damn pink drink I've ever had here! It was a perfect was to wash down all the food I had at gran central market. It is so flavorful and refreshing. I loved the service here because they were so helpful. I would definitely come here again and would highly recommend this place!! read more
Grand Central Food Hall DTLA can be overwhelming, especially if you aren't really hungry...This place was hopping on a Sunday afternoon so we decided to get boba tea and sit outside to chat. I ordered the Passion fruit Boba w/black tea which was okay. The service was good but I would never order this again...I would try something else. They also serve food which smelled good... My friend Te-see and I found ourselves at Grand Central Market. It was a little early for dinner, so we just wanted something kind of quick and refreshing. She mentioned boba and we happened upon Moon Rabbit, so it was perfect! It's a quaint little stand in Grand Central Market. Kind of unassuming as I wouldn't have taken it for a boba place. They offer some food items as well that look yummy. I opted for the strawberry limeade jasmine tea with boba. It was incredibly tart, but refreshing. I did think the boba was a bit overcooked because it was excessively soft and mushy. Service was friendly, efficient and great. There's some tables and chairs located right near here, or it's a short walk to some more tables and chairs outside. read more

I stumbled upon Moon Rabbit on a busy Saturday afternoon at the Grand Central Market. I'd been craving Bánh Mì for some time, and Moon Rabbit did not disappoint. The grilled pork bánh mì was delicious - offering the perfect bite between the savory soft pork, the crunchy fresh vegetables, and a great creamy sauce. My only complaint might be that the portion was on the smaller side for a bánh mì of that price (~$14); however, that's to be expected at Grand Central Market. Lastly, the rose black milk tea (75% sweet) was on the more subtle side in terms of flavor, but nonetheless refreshing. read more

Stopped by Moon Rabbit at Grand Central Market, the branding really drew me in, so cute and easy to ready menu! Unfortunately, I originally received the wrong drink order and when I received the drink I did order (Mango Green tea Limeade) it was so sweet I could not finish it. I also ordered the Lemongrass Chicken Noodle Bowl, which had some nice ingredients, but was hard to eat due to the clumping of the noodles themselves. read more
I was in the area for work and wanted some boba. Several shops popped up, but this one had the cutest name and was closest within walking distance. This location is inside a vast food court near the middle, so it can be challenging to find, especially with how crowded the food court can be. Once located, though, you have to figure out who is in line and who isn't, as there really isn't a waiting area and people all hover by this shop. The menu isn't vast, rather it's fairly small compared to other shops, especially ones that offer boba. Additionally, the shop moves pretty fast in getting drinks and food out (which is a huge plus). Unfortunately, I the boba wasn't the greatest. I got the rose milk tea with boba. The milk tea was really bland and the boba was old. read more
Went to sticky rice for Thai Tea and they sold out for the day. I'm so glad they did because I ran into this spot and got to try their Thai tea. They have many variations but today I went with the coconut and it was quite delish! Creamy with a coconut twist. I'm willing to come back another day and try their other creations too! read more
3 stars #2 of October 2022 DineLA experience. For $15, you get a sandwich, choice of chips, and choice of Thai tea or brown sugar milk tea. I got the pork banh mi, honey butter chips, and the brown sugar milk tea. Milk tea was refreshing since it was pretty hot inside Grand Central Market. I got the banh mi and, honestly, it needs work... The meat had a nice smokiness and char to it, but that's it. It was probably brined, but not marinated in any other seasoning. Customer service was good. Super nice people. read more
Best sandwich ever!! The chicken katsu sando was out of this world. The milk bread was perfectly soft and tasty. The chicken katsu was very crispy and flavorful. Each bite was utter perfection! The Coconut Thai Tea was also very tasty. It wasn't overly sweet, and you could really taste the tea flavors. My only gripe was the boba was pretty clumpy. Overall, my visit here was great! The food and drinks were tasy! Can't wait to be back! read more

Love the colors and tiles of the place. This is what caught my eye. Plus the cute name. I saw the white rabbit frappe, and for $7 I was a little hesitant but got it anyway because I'm not here often. Waited about 5 minutes in line before I ordered. The service was good. The drink came out in 5-10 min, as others were in front of me on a busy Saturday afternoon. I was surprised that the drink was iced and not a "frappe" which was on me, as I assumed a frappe was an ice-blended drink like many other places. Not sure if that was an option, but I think that would be amazing as a drink. The drink itself was a wide cup, so I wasn't as iffy about the price anymore. It was very creamy and tasted just like white rabbit!! Which was my favorite candy as a kid, so to see white rabbit anything, I will always want to try it. The drink was great. read more
Cute aesthetic. Nice staff. Quick organized service. Ok, let's get started. I was super excited to try a katsu sandwich for the first time! The kastsu sando comes with pork or chicken katsu for $14. The pork itself was moist juicy and super thick. I loved the thick fluffy and slightly sweet milk bread. Overall, It was a bit underwhelming. There wasn't enough breading for the katsu. So the breading to meat ratio was off. I wish the katsu was slightly more crispy. The pork katsu itself was not seasoned enough. I liked the sesame dressing on the sandwich. But so much of the dressing leaked from the bottom of my sandwich. There wasn't enough of the cabbage in the sandwich, especially compared to the photos they have on instagram. The katsu did not fit the entirety of the bread, so there was more than enough bread. I enjoyed it, but I wouldn't get it again. This is just my opinion though as I am sure other people might like it. read more

Review for a drink and other factors besides food. Came for the Thai Soft Serve with Boba but they didn't serve it that day (Sunday). Was a bit disappointed and considered leaving but decided to snag a Strawberry Fresh Milk Boba for $6.57 before tip so I believe they charged me for added boba despite the $5.5 price point mentioning boba in the description. The cups are fat and wider which a few other spots have, but the usability is poor due to the difficulty fitting in cup holders. Also didn't get asked about adjusting sugar or ice so not even sure that's an option, but it's pretty much a standard at boba spots. Strawberry Fresh Milk Boba - strawberry puree and fresh milk shaken makes an obvious strawberry milk. It's tasty and refreshing without being overly sweet. Boba was whatever though, it's chewy but lacks flavor. I'd skip out on toppings especially if there's an additional charge despite being in the description. Would stop by for a drink though and pair it with a meal at the Grand Central Market. read more

Located behind Sticky Rice in Grand Central Market . They have new menus - rice bowls . I ordered Lemongrass chicken with Vietnamese noodles and Mango Sticky Rice Frappe' . Really good ! Will come back for sure. read more
REVIEW FOR DRINK I was looking for a refreshing drink and I'm glad I got the blueberry limeade! It tasted pretty much exactly what I thought it would taste like, blueberry with hints of jasmine tea. The lime flavor became more potent as the slices of limes soaked in the cup and the mint wasn't very strong. I'm not sure how the other drinks tasted but this wasn't bad! read more
A delightful spot for viet food and boba at Grand Central Market. I stopped by here for a quick lunch, which included a pork bahn mi and a katsu sando. Both were great, would definitley come back for the bahn mi, the meat and bread were great quality. read more
Always a treat visiting Grand Central Market, this time I wanted to try the chicken katsu sando and a beverage from Moon Rabbit. The service was fast and friendly, only had to wait about 10-15 minutes for my food and boba tea, even in the middle of the busy lunch rush. The hostess was welcoming and gave great suggestions about the milk teas and non-dairy tea options - I ended up going with the mango limeade which was perfectly refreshing on this hot summer day. The chicken was fresh, crispy, and flavorful, and paired wonderfully with the sandwich fillings. I added some hot sauce to mine which gave it just the right amount of heat. Overall, I really enjoyed Moon Rabbit and look forward to trying out their other drink options during my next visit and definitely returning for the chicken katsu. read more
The service was very good and the staff was very friendly. This sandwich was for the most part delicious. The sauce on it was very good but not evenly spread so some parts were bland. Additionally the milk bread was not very soft and seemed somewhat stale (we came at the end of the day so it adds up). read more
Hefty sandwiches for a fair price. First time at the Grand Central Market and we wandered around before deciding on this spot. It's located in the middle, across from Knead. Moon Rabbit serves boba, banh mi and katsu sandwiches and is by the same Sticky Rice founder! We ordered both the chicken and menchi katsu sandwiches to try on this visit. The price seemed a bit steep but honestly, given it's touristy location and the portion size, I think it was fair. Both sandwiches were good, but definitely eat it fast because the bread is soft and gets soggy. One order is definitely enough to split if you wanted to have a light meal or wanted to try something else from another spot. We decided to skip the boba this time. Menchi katsu sando: 4/5 stars This sandwich is super JUICY! We took this home to eat (15 minute walk) and there was a puddle of liquid at the bottom of the container from the meat. This was a bummer because there was no crunch from the katsu. Still, the meat was very tender and flavorful and I felt that the seasoning was perfect and wasn't too salty. My main complaint is that I wished the bread was toasted because it could not hold up to the juiciness of the ingredients and was falling apart as I ate it! Worth a try but I probably wouldn't get it again because it was super messy to eat and I felt like the soggy bun could be improved. Chicken Katsu sando: 4/5 stars This sandwich was still juicy, but more bearable than the menchi katsu sando. There was still some level of crunch and the sandwich wasn't dripping in juices as we ate it. However, I'm not sure that I would say this one is necessarily *better* than the other sando. I liked that I could actually taste the veggies and had some variety in texture here, but I also felt that this sando was lacking in taste. It felt like something was missing, maybe a sauce? It was still tasty but it didn't blow my mind. Still, a good sando but my friend and I agreed: the bread should've been toasted because it could not withstand the juice! Overall, the food was good enough that I wouldn't be opposed to try it again in the future. But it wasn't standout enough that I would go out of my way to get it again. 4 stars because I could see this place becoming something great once they figure out their soggy bread situation... read more

What happened to the sandwiches? I sent my husband there for a Bahn mi yesterday and he said they don't have sandwiches of any kind anymore. Also not showing up in online menus. Am I crazy or do they not have them anymore?
