I stopped in because I was shopping nearby and saw it was an Indian bakery, as well as a cafe. I…read morewas on my way to dinner, but wanted to try a sweet dessert to-go. The two men working the counter were both very friendly and happy to help answer questions. Worth noting - it was Sunday at dinner time and it was very quiet. They have an extensive menu and offer catering, too! I am obsessed with all things butterscotch. As soon as I saw their butterscotch cake slice, it was an easy choice - but the chocolate mocha was a solid option too. Honestly, their cakes all looked amazing: decent sized slices with layers of cake, filling, and what appeared to be a stabilized whipped cream. Turns out I was correct on the whipped cream layer! Oh my gosh, I think this is my new favorite cake in Columbus. It's light and delicious and just sweet enough. Indian desserts can be incredibly sweet, but this cake wasn't. It was honestly perfection. Pretty sure I am going to get one of these cakes for my birthday this year! If the mango cake tastes like this, I can absolutely see why it's a fan favorite. It reminds me of the strawberry cake from a well-liked local Chinese restaurant (iykyk) Can't speak to the savories from the cafe, but I highly recommend the cakes if you're a fan of lightly-sweetened fresh cakes!

Then he took three orders at the counter and took ten minutes to box up a cake. I walked to the counter and asked if he had Onion Pakoda. He said no. My bill was 28 bucks and he said: You told me Vegetarian Manchurian...Ummm no... And he argued with me. He refunded it. Food was okay but definitely under seasoned. A lot of places have good paneer and Indian food but this is just an exercise in frustration. Perhaps they should stick to cakes or something where they don't have to interact with people as much. Eh, go down to WY Grill next door or Five Guys...Much less hastle.

And I've long been frustrated by the fact that most of the best Indian places in our area are up in Dublin - but not anymore! Lewis Center now has the BEST authentic Southern Indian food in a darling outdoor setting thanks to Sandy's food truck! Bestie and I were blown away by the quality, freshness and flavors of our meal last night. If you're up for a culinary adventure, head up 23 to Sandy's; pull in just north of the motorcycle shop and BBQ cabin and drive around to the back. We tried the potato masala dosa - a huge crispy crepe bigger than your head and folded with tasty filling tucked inside. Also the dahi puri appetizer was flavorful and perfectly spiced. Our favorite was the Masala punugulu - little fried dough balls with spicy dipping sauces. To die for!

This place is a quite hidden gem! The owner Sandy's passion for cooking goes long back since she was food catering for parties! The place itself is super cute with colorful elements for a beautiful outdoor setting! I ordered the masala punugulu ...it was a flavor bomb!! I also ordered karam podi dosa it came with two chutneys!! They were spicy and super flavorful... this place is ideal for people who enjoy authentic Indian food !

However, most of the guests were outside to avoid the unbearable heat indoors! No fans or anything were provided. Imagine that many people in a small space and no AC? Appaling! Many left early because they could no longer withstand the heat or had littles who were very hot and bothered. I can't even focus on the food, because the epic fail of this restaurant to host a party outweighs all. To make matters worse, they were not upfront out about anything and kept acting like the AC was indeed being adjusted and wokring. Apart from a few female staff members, the management and service were terrible. To make matters worse, it was found that they had a whole second side of the restaurant that was blasting AC and taking in diners on the day of. Why was that space not offered to the guests who had booked the place months prior to compensate for the situation? I have never experienced such a lack of service. Needless to say, none of the attendees will ever recommend this place to anyone.

And the staff was kind enough to make it again but it still wasn't that good. The salna wasn't that tasty as it was a little spicy and bitter/sour. The service was very good- the lady waiting our table was very accommodating to our requests and it's rare to see such humble waitstaff in Indian restaurants. I'd come back to try other food and give the food another chance!
