Do not go here! Their tools are not cleaned! Idk what the heck this is but I'm terrified. I haven't had my toes done in 4 years. I treated myself to a pedicure and gel nails and this is what I got. I'm making a doctor appointment for Monday! I hope I don't lose me toe nail! Because I got gel polish I could get it off and had to use a nail file to file the color off and this is what is under my toe nail! And there is puss under my cuticle. read more

I debated writing this or not because the staff was really friendly..but I've been to many nail salons in the area and this is just not one I will come back to. For starters, I missed the no cards accepted sign when walking in and when my pedicure started going awry I started looking more into the reviews (which i found to be mainly positive)...where I saw it mentioned that they only take cash or check. Had to have my husband bring me more cash. Now on to my review... Ambiance...a bit dated, peeling chairs, noisy massage chairs and all the employees were quite chatty with each other. Not very relaxing in my opinion. Pedicure...I asked for a gel pedicure. First things first, no liner was used in the tub and at times she put my feet on the black pad without a towel. Just felt germy to me. Typically (other places), someone brings you a menu to choose your pedicure type. After soaking my feet, removing my gel polish and scrubbing my soles she started painting...I thought ok maybe the rest of pedicure will come after the paint?? Well after the paint she just asked if I wanted to add on massage. No cuticle clean up, minimal filling/buffing, no cleaning under the nails. It was my first time there so I wasn't really sure how things worked so I agreed to the extra massage. It was decent. No hot towels, stones, scrubs, wax or lotion just that oily stuff. It was 30 minutes but I felt my technician kept getting very distracted and the massage just felt long and repetitive. After one leg they had me walk over (barefooted) to a manicure table where my pedicurist finished the massage on other leg and someone started my nails. Maybe I could have asked for a menu of choices but I felt like I was being a bit rushed and since I didn't make an appointment I didn't want to be difficult. One other uncomfortable thing for me...I am 9 months pregnant and baby started kicking and the tech stopped my pedicure and started rubbing my belly. out of kindness but a bit weird for me. Manicure...I couldn't wait for it to be over. I had SNS and chose a new SNS color. She used the dremel so fast and carelessly it was terrifying. I couldn't relax. Then came the file. My poor skin around nails was bleeding. My nails are mostly shaped nicely, however, there are a couple with differing lengths. I honestly did not even look until I left because my fingers hurt so badly I couldn't take another second. Another issue is that some parts of my nails were buffed out more than others so the polish color is uneven. Fortunately, it is a sparkle color so it is a bit harder to tell. They do not look awful..just sore. I came in for one last day of relaxing before baby comes and left really disappointed. No relaxing pedicure experience and painful "manicure". For all of these reasons, I will not return. If you want a no frills experience and have time to make an appt..I'm sure your experience would be better. read more

First timer at Moon Nails and I wont be back. I made an appointment days and advance, shower up 5 mins early and had to wait 45 mins to be seated in front of a nail tech. Once I was, the tech was so busy multitasking that they couldn't focus on my nails and it shows. The dip is not all the way filled in around the bottom corners, the round shape is uneven and jagged/not smooth and you can actually see my real nail through the dark grey dip color. I ended up not getting my toes done like I planned after spending 2 hours here just on nails...with an appointment. just moved from KY and they wouldn't accept my check because my address was out of state. Instead I had to leave and go to an ATM, pay the fee since it wasn't my bank, and come back to pay $40 for my nails that I have not been happy with since leaving there. Not a good experience read more

Awful service and ugly manicure. The woman doing my nails shut her eyes while buffing my nails. She pulled healthy skin from my cuticle causing me to bleed AND THEN minutes later proceeded to file the side of my nail so hard that it cut my skin open and she continued to use the bloody nail file. To make matters worse, she finished with my nails and told me to wait. I stayed seated with my hand on the table. She comes around the tables and behind my chair. I move out of her way to give her space and she starts touching my neck, giving me a massage to apologize for slicing my hands open. I don't like to be touched very much, and never without my permission. I swear the woman was drunk or something. She was on her phone every few minutes and I've just never had an experience quite like this. read more

Very disappointed in the customer service provided by Moon Nails. The nail technician cut my cuticles with a dremel and left five of my fingers bleeding. She was made aware of how thin my cuticles were prior to using the dremel. No apology or discount was given by the salon after the incident. I recommend looking elsewhere for a reputable nail salon. read more

The people there are so very sweet. They fixed my nails right up because the previous nail salon I used to go to did it all wrong! They apparently gave me acrylic instead of SNS. Anthony does my nails! I have done SNS and acrylic with Anthony. He does a phenomenal job every time. I love the complimentary massage you get at the end of each visit! The nail salon is very clean and the prices are fair. They have lots of colors to choose from. Everyone there does a great job. I have had other technicians and the quality is just as good as Anthony. Tina is my favorite for a pedicure. But I truly am happy with whom ever I get. They make you feel like family and always greet you when you walk in. I have become a regular, so they know me by first name. This salon makes you feel very welcome. They take their time so don't expect to be in and out quickly. Make an appointment so you don't have to wait! Your nails will love moon nails! read more

I have been searching for a high quality SNS manicure for several years and have finally found it with Anthony. At other salons it was hit or miss and my nails would never last a week without them cracking or breaking. I thought I was being particularly hard on them but after having Anthony do my nails 3 weeks ago, I discovered it's all in the application. After 3 weeks, my nails are all still perfect except for growing out. I will never go to any other nail salon!! read more

I've been going to Moon Nails for a couple months now. I am new to the area and have tried a few nail salons. Moon is by far the best for Manicures and Pedicures. The staff is friendly and very knowledgeable of what they are doing. I get my nails done with "SNS dipping powder" also called Nex Gen in some salons. Kim and Natalie are great! Heidi has been doing pedicures on my mom and I. She's great with problem feet. All the techs there are good. You can't go wrong with them. They don't take credit cards which enables them to keep prices down. Give them a try! Awesome massages with every visit! read more

I've been to many nail salons and this one ranks right up there with the best! The nail techs are so friendly and all seem to be seasoned professionals. We arrived for our appointment and got the last two chairs. Even at full capacity they don't rush you out the door. They have plenty of people employed to handle a crowd! My 91-yr-old mother and I had foot and leg massages included in the basic pedicure ($25). My feet are extremely sensitive. My nail tech sensed that immediately and I was treated so gently! Take note that they do not accept credit cards, so bring a check or cash. We'd love to come back here! read more

This review is for a manicure using EliteDesigns dipping powder. The good: * Excellent attention to detail, the manicurist paid close attention to cuticles when applying the base coats * The salon clearly has a lot of regulars, who they regularly greeted by name * Excellent selection of colors The bad: * Manicurist pulled a dirty pair of cuticle nippers out of a drawer and attempted to use them, but I told her no thank you. * The salon uses UV light for sterilization, which is significantly less effective than autoclaving * Pedicures happen directly in the basins without a disposable liner * To remove prior dip polish, they have you soak your nails in a bowl of acetone as opposed to the foil method. * Cash or check only, no credit I was happy with my manicure, but I won't be back. read more

Moon Nails is right in the Kroger shopping center at Hwy 53 & GA 400N. Their pedicure, which I can attest to, is $20.00. The whole pedicure experience was great. They spend a fair amount of time doing the leg massage, which is my favorite part. Lastly, they give you a backrub while your nails are drying, which was a wonderful addition that I did not expect! I will definitely come back to see the friendly staff and get my toes done! read more

I never write bad reviews, or reviews in general but for this place I just HAVE TO. I scheduled an appointment for a GEL manicure and when I arrive and I even told them that, and they gave & charged me for dip. But I'm not the type to say anything, I know I should have. But he didn't even ask me if it was okay to do dip instead. When we were finished he said "this looks better anyway". When in reality, the filing is all janky and my nails are uneven. I will never be coming back here read more

I started taking my daughter, Morgan, with me for pedicures, and for her, manicures, when she was seven years old. I never made appointments because we were always lucky to walk in, and the whole staff was great. I kind of wondered why, since we'd been going for years (we stopped going 4 years ago), our names weren't called out in recognition, after 15 years. They made a point of calling out names of favorite arriving clients. In our last year of going to Moon, I was given horrible service. Oh, well. read more
