I thoroughly enjoyed my first time there. My nails looked amazing, but it was MY fault for not being able to get there within 3 weeks to get them redone. Even more so, these "horrible" reviews are hilarious to me. I came here after a friends recommendation. I told my tech, that drills hurt my nail beds and that I believed that was the reason why my nails would break the same day I got them done. I always asked my old salon to not use a drill, they never listen or cared, broken nails leaving the salon. I told my nail tech here to please hand file my nail beds, the drill is fine once there is product on my nails as a barrier. SHE LISTENED and respected my wishes. It has been 5 weeks since I was there. 4 of my nails broke off last week, because I was dumb. I also purposely did not have her cut my nails down, I wanted to test the durability. I had never had nails that long, but I went 4 weeks with no issues. THIS is my new nail go to place! Take it from me, I actually used to work for for a nail tech school. The last place I would go to started allowing this old lady to bring her tiny yip-yip dog into the salon. DEFINITELY not a service dog by any means. I had to explain to the owner why that was unsanitary, dangerous, and that a call to the state board would have them shut down. I was told to get over it. That was my last time there. I have been going here for a few years and I've noticed that the business has slid downhill the last few times I've been in. I asked for a simple mani and exfoliating pedi. One employee was working on my hands and the other on my feet. I wanted regular polish. The lady working on my mani was rushing and didn't do a thorough job. So much so, the lady working on my pedi had to come back and touch up my mani because the polish didn't even cover the entire nail. The mani wasn't redone, but touched up and now looks like I have five layers of polish on it. My pedicure turned out well. The lady that was first working on my mani used a very crusty and dirty looking Lancôme jar with remover in it to dip a brush and touch up the paint left over on my cuticles/skin. My husband bought me a gift card for Christmas and I still have money on it, otherwise I don't think I'd be coming back. Also want to mention that the lady who did my mani complained to me about my nails being "too sharp". She insisted that I bite my nails and I don't. My best friend, her aunt, mom, and I went here for a pedicure and acrylics. Her mom and aunt waited for 4 hours without service and the workers did not communicate this to them. When me and my best friend were getting our acrylics done they were very rough with the drill and were quite literally shaving our cuticles off and they were bleeding and they did nothing about it. I've been here a few times and must say that I'm still satisfied with the pedicure that I receive. The only difference I've noticed is that my most recent visits have been a bit more attentive and taken more time than when I first started to come. I appreciate the attention to detail. I went on labor days because my usual nail salon was closed and i need a set for my birthday. I had originally planned to get a design and Acrylic nails. I had to wait over hour to be sat because they were extremely under staffed and rushing everyone. When i requested acrylic they refused and told me to get gel X instead. I didn't argue bc i didn't want to upset the artist and have them do badly. I received no pre manicure treatment and they immediately started just applying my nails. I was told to let them know if the gel started burning me. Why is that something that can happen. I decided not to get a design bc they were extremely rushed and i didn't want them to ruin my birthday nails. My nails are bumpy and have finger prints from where they touched my nail to test it tackiness and they just left it bumpy and didn't fix it. He buffed my nails directly into my face and all the dust was in my face. they also completely left cured gel all over my fingers and cuticles and i had to clean it off myself. Then at check out he accidentally charged me $5 instead of $60 and i had to correct them. I should've just walked out but im a good person. this place has no customer service skills what so ever. me and my friend came here at the same time and even sat next to eachother she got her nails done while I sat next to her and had 3 different nail people come and do one thing to my nails over a 2+ time period. Well firstly me and my boyfriend went to go get pedicures here other day did not have a great experience at all. The girl that was working on my boyfriends feet did not know what she was doing at all and constantly watching my girl and everything she does. I went in for a pink and white acrylic fill on my nails and pedicure. my big toe needed a repair I split the nail kicking a chair in the middle of the night. I told the lady at check in. about the repair twice and the lady who was doing my pedicure once. instead of fixing the nail she attempted to cut it off. it's still split, I'm posting a picture of my nails, she decided the white part was fine and when I complained she figured polish would do just fine. Went in on memorial day for 2 gel manis with my daughter. They were all wearing masks and they asked you to wash your hands right away. All good. My daughter got the gentleman who seemed to be in charge. I got a gentleman at first who put the foil with remover on but quickly got a very young girl. She had to be coached every step if the way. My daughter got her cuticles clipped and was asked to wash her hands after the filing to get all the residue off her nails before the gel coats. Me? No, no cuticles clipped, or asked to wash off the residue off my nails, the costs were uneven and spots of less color. Then she put cuticle oil on my hands, not lotion and not on my cuticles. My red flag should have been that every time someone from the salon stopped to see what she was doing. I dont mind a new or even a student doing my nails but you need to give me a choice and not have to pay 35.00. When i checked out i asked the gentleman if he thought my nails were good. He immediately said i will redo for you but i didn't have another 45 mins to spend in the salon. The best part was she had a mask but touched her eyes and then Touched my hands. I immediately used hand sanitizer and wash my hands after i left. I could have done a better job if given the choice to not do them there. Wont be going back anytime soon. read more

I was greeted by a nice young lady- probably the manager. She asked what I wanted and I was very clear with my request. I want to see colors that have SNS + regular polish in the SAME color. I didn't specify I wanted them the exact same, but i assumed she understood as she pointed me to a book with options. I picked one and they proceeded with the SNS and pedicure. I heard about 6 words from each of the technicians, and have no idea their names but by the time they were both done, it's clear it's not the same color- not even close. One is dark and muted and the other is bright. I voiced my concerns as I got up, and they offered to paint my toes a different color. Unfortunately, they had nothing close for regular polish so I left with unpolished toes and half of the services I requested - and paid for. Initially, I was offered 10% off my next visit (which will never happen) and then, after threatening to call the cops on me, she offered me $10 off. I paid and left. This was the most expensive visit for the service I receive. I specifically asked for Sns powder nails with a hand painted design and a pedicure. The young guy had no clue what a pedicure is. I basically soaked my feet and got a sloppy polish change. No massage, no washing Of lower leg, no lotion, and no clipping of toe nails. As far as Sns, they r so cheap with the powder. Putting multi layers of clear on top and bottom and a thin quick dip in an eggplant color. Kevin clipped and filed my nails so short that my fingers hurt, I told him not to file so close and he totally ignored me. He didn't want to paint a design so he told me to bring up something on the internet and said the minimum was $25 for 10 fingers on top of the $48 he was already charging. I am now at another place to redo the sloppy expensive job and to fill in the side edges that hurts so much. read more

I wish I could put 0 stars. I went in today and asked for the 3rd tier of the manicure package. It was supposed to include cuticle cut, sugar exfoliating scrub, lotion and hand massage and warm towels. As i was getting my nails done, i was not given a sugar scrub exfoliator at all. The man doing my nails left half way through and left the towels on my hands for 15 minutes and they were freezing. Another woman had to come finish. Right before she was about to paint my nails, i asked her how much my total would be if i went with the gel polish instead of the regular. She said $30 total. The manicure package was $25 so i assumed the gel would be $5. Half way through my nails being painted, they brought my receipt and the gel was actually $15 additional and my total came to $40. I confronted her about it and she just said "sorry". Then i go to checkout....... i talk to the male Kevin. I also mention that i did not get the sugar scrub and i should have my price adjusted to the middle tier which was $20 with $5 for the gel. He did not like that at all and told me my total was $40. I told him I would not pay that price, not only because i did not get the sugar scrub, but also because the woman told me $5 rather than $15 for the gel upgrade. He proceeds to get very angry, slams a menu down on the counter and shouts FINE $30. I was honestly stunned and told him we would not be coming back. He said "i dont care". so i've been to this salon multiple times, everyone has always been super friendly! however, today was much different. I had the WORST nail salon experience ever. I went into the salon for a gel pedicure and pink and white ombré with tips, and my sister had a fill with gel. I was told to pick out my color gel polish for my toes, and when I do the young girl says, "I can't read that color, you need to pick something else." okay fine no big deal I pick a different color. I tell the young man that begins to do my nails what shape, length and that I would like my nails to be pink/white ombré. he proceeded to say no problem, that we could do that. halfway through the process of my nails I start to notice it is not anywhere near ombré, but more of a half pink and half white nail. I don't say anything as I know filing and buffing makes a difference in the end. shortly after an older woman who works there comes over to "examine" my nails and coach him through the process of achieving the ombré effect. she then picks up my opposite hand to work on, puts the powder down and walks away to leave him to finish. they start to look a little better and he begins filing again. halfway through he begins to ask me to communicate with my sister that she needed to go get me a gel polish to put on top. I just assumed he was trying to fix an issue with the pink not being opaque. my sister brings over the gel polish choices for me and I chose a light pink. he then proceeded to tell me to "pick a darker color" because we were going to cover my whole nail. and I repeated back, "a darker color?" because at this point I was extremely confused as to what was happening. I pick out a deep red, and that is what I walked out of the salon with. I went in asking for pink & white ombré and left with red gel. I now have EXTREMELY uneven thick nails, and there is red gel polish all over the under side of my nail. which happens to be very noticeable as my tips underneath are white from the powder that was being used. we go to check out and I told the young man upfront that I was paying for my sisters nails. he says okay and proceeded to only charge me for mine, and I asked if that was the total for both of us including my pedicure which he then said yes. he runs my card, and then proceeded to ask my younger sister for her money. I have been there twice. The first time I was extremely happy. The lady didn't do what I ask for at all and charged me more than I was told. Against my better judgment, I went back to give them another chance. BIG mistake- even worse!!! The guy who did my nails (SNS) cut them too short as uneven, I ask for French and ask for the white to be wide- he said, NO! I will do it next time , this way looks better and more natural. So disappointed in how I was just treated. My sister and I went in at 6:40 when they advertised they closed at 8. We weren't even greeted when we walked in but harshly told that they close early on Saturday's (when online AND on their door it says 8pm). This place is absolutely terrible. My friend and I came to get a pedicure and they completely rushed even though they were not busy at all. It is a Friday at 3:30. My friend is pregnant and just wanted her feet rubbed that is all. She looked over at me saying they did not massage her at all and even asked the lady if they don't do massages with the pedicure and she claimed she already did it. So whenever the person doing my nails went to massage my legs I timed her and it was literally 3:50-3:52 for both legs. Will never return here again and do not recommend to anyone. Went for a pedicure and did not receive the package I had requested, which included a callus remover. All she did was use a buffer a couple of swipes and she was done. The "hot" towels were barely warm. I didn't even bother to say anything because she didn't even bother to say hello before she started. This was the shortest and worst pedicure I ever received. Got a manicure (sns) 8 days ago. Within the first week, I went back twice for repair - the sns cracked on 3 nails... not the nail just the sns polish. On the 8th day I went back because the sns cracked on yet another nail. The owner told me that all she could do was redo the nails and give me a 5 dollar discount... she would ONLY charge me $50. I know this salon is under new management and it has truly gone downhill since that transition. This is an establishment that I've been going to for nearly 2 years. This was the absolute worst mani pedi I have ever gotten. The nail technicians are rough, extremely rude and treat you as if you are a burden. My SNS nails are uneven and thick and my friend has acrylic gummed up under her nails. Total lack of skill, professionalism, and overall customer service. BEWARE. My roommate and I made appointments for 5:45pm without reading any of the reviews - my first mistake. When we arrived we were super excited because the place looks super cute and high end. The girl at the counter was very sweet. Come to find out we were walking into a trap. We sat down and waited until 6:15pm before anyone came to talk to us. A man approached me and asked me what I wanted. I said I wanted SNS pink and white with hot pink tips and a glitter design. He told me due to Mother's Day they were out of the glitter design polish - whatever, no biggie. He then starts taking off the SNS I had on before... I have never been so man handled by a technician in my life. He was extremely rough and careless while buffing off my old SNS. It was like he was trying to get it done as fast as possible and didn't care if I was uncomfortable or if he was causing damage to my nails. Usually, they would buff your nail a little, then put acetone soaked cotton balls on them for a few minutes to break down the SNS, then buff again to get everything off before putting a new set on. (If this step is not taken the new SNS will not adhere to your nail bed and the new nails will pop off within a week). First red flag. At this point I was extremely uncomfortable and wanting to just go somewhere else, because I could already tell the end result was going to be subpar - my second mistake. Throughout the whole manicure he was turning and pinching my fingers in a way that was making them pop. He kept tapping my hand telling me to "relax" like it would help and that I "shouldn't be watching what he was doing." Okay, what?? In what world do you tell a customer you are performing a service on to just, look away. Then a woman comes over to start doing my roommates nails slamming stuff around while huffing and puffing. The first thing she asked us was if we were walk-ins or appointments. We told her that we made appointments. My roommate then told her that she wanted matte green acrylics and was told they don't do that. What salon doesn't do matte? At this point we have both been told we couldn't get the nails we wanted. The pedicure - the $30 pedicure. Any other place this service would have been cut cuticles/remove calluses, exfoliate, massage, mask, hot towel wrap, lotion/oil massage on your calves and feet, then paint. This is how "they do" a $30 pedicure: cuticles(let me just set these nail clippings and dead skin on your foot for you to look at)/slight buff, exfoliate/mask/"massage" combo, hot towel wrap, here's some lotion, paint nails, bye. The whole reason I upgraded my pedicure was for a relaxing message. I was baffled. When I asked her why she didn't do the message she said she did it when she did the scrub/mask. I told her that I had upgraded my pedi for the extra message and that I felt I wasn't getting what I paid for - my third mistake. She got extremely irritated and huffed off to the guy that did my manicure. He came up to me and asked me what was wrong and I told him the same thing. He turned around shaking his head and waved the girl at the front desk over to me. She explained to me that that's just how they do the pedicure and that next time I could ask for an extra message. First of all, I never got the first massage. Second of all, why didn't the lady that did my pedicure just offer me "another" massage for an additional price rather than getting mad and storming off. This is the newest of 9 nail salons in Dawsonville. How many nail salons does one town need?? Although it is ultra modern with the most chairs, I've ever seen except in Dunwoody, I found the attitude of the staff and male manager was lacking. I arrived promptly at 10 when they opened and they showed me to a chair for a mani-pedi. One of the employees started removing my polish - then when a new lady walked into the salon my employee got up to wax her eyebrows. No apology or leaving no words nothing. She came back and started removing more polish from my toes. Suddenly she left again to perform her magic on another lady. ( Obviously this pedicurist is the only one who does eyebrows!) I'm sorry but this is my relaxing down time and I don't want someone getting up while working on me to answer another clients needs. I started to leave wet feet adn all - but ended up staying with Nancy doing my toes. Tru was very courteous, and did a great job on my hands. But I found their included benefits lacking to my salon in Cumming. I was in and out in an hour... I had to ask for Nancy to check for ingrown toe nails, and she did without any sign of disapproval. When I spoke with the manager he said the lady was late ( I wanted to ask if both were late but I didn't) ..Well I'm sorry but if I arrive late to an appointment I deserve to wait until the employee is available to work on me. I just wanted to let you know to avoid this place at all costs! Their customer service is horrendous. My friend and I spent over $75 each to get our toes and nails done. My gel nails chipped within a couple days. I went out of state and had to have it re-done in Florida. It turns out they only put one coat of gel on them! I called them right away and they said if I don't come back in within three days they won't do anything. Obviously I was Not going to fly back to get my nails fixed. The manager was suppose to call me last week and never did. Today I went in person and were so rude that the gentleman blamed me and said we do not know what you did to your nails. They were awful, one star rating is too high. The receptionist, after I showed them the picture of nails that I use to get, and they said yes they can do that. They let a technician named Thy (female) put a set of nails on and not only did they not put on my nails correctly as well as crooked but she was very outwardly rude. Responding to me 'You don't want me to do the other hand?' after I said I was not too thrilled about the job she was doing on the current hand. Of course, the tech wanted to leave at a specific time and did not really want to work on me, so to act like a child who did not get her way, she showed abrasive rudeness and blunt confrontational demeanor showed it even through the language barrier. The fact that they said they could do my nails the way I showed them from a photo then proceed to have a tech who was outwardly rude, they did not even put any paint or acrylic on my nails. I had no choice but to let her finish putting on the rest of the nails or just have no nails on one hand. I was hopeful she would be professional, I am also hopeful Publisher Clearinghouse would barge through the doors with a million-dollar check for me too. If this shop was serious about keeping people they need to monitor their techs and they need to make sure the customer experience is at least good. I would not let Thy the nail technician cut my dogs nails more or less let any of my network of friends go to this place.
