I got a facial microneedling session to decrease the visibility of a scar on my face, and I was floored at the outcome of just one session, 3 days later! My scar has flattened some, and my skin is glowing! I used to have poking/needle like pain on my scar also when I touched it but that has completely disappeared for some reason. I also feel the tone of my skin evened out and my skin just looks healthier and more youthful. Although the session was a bit uncomfortable, recovery was so fast and I didn't have any discomfort afterwards. I opted for red light therapy afterwards to further the effects. My face was a little bit red for maybe 14 hrs but I wasn't uncomfortable walking into a store afterwards.. I continued with the herbal serum Dr. Diana gave me, stayed out of the sun for 24 hrs, and kept my skin hydrated with pure ingredients. Two practitioners work on you during your session- Felix does the acupuncture, cupping and deep tissue massage and Eric does the chiropractic work. It's amazing. I wrote a review when Dr. Vroom opened his practice in Kaimuki and now he's joined wellness forces with Dr. Felix Wolf in the Diamond Head area. I hadn't come in for treatment for a while due to recent shoulder surgery but 4 days of migraine pain called for some healing hands and the only place I knew to come to is Unity Wellness. Dr. Vroom was a sight for a sore head and I got to meet his partner Dr. Wolf for the first time. I got in the table and after a handful of adjustments I was already on my path to feeling pain free. Dr. Vroom was able to modify his treatment to assure my shoulder wasn't affected and his adjustments were further complimented by Dr. Wolf's acupuncture and manual therapy. 25 minutes later I was headache free, bright-eyed, and ready to roll. Don't worry. This is the place. You don't need to be nervous about finding the right chiropractor. You just did. Let me say a tiny bit about myself, because not every reviewer has the same level of experience. And this is a place in which I have some knowledge. I'm a body worker/massage therapist for over fifteen years, with a devoted clientele. I've traveled the world in search of healing practices and cultural gathering places for healing. My husband and I just moved into the neighborhood, and I feel like I've been gifted something even more wonderful than the Pacific Ocean with Eric and Felix. At the very least it's a super close tie, guys : ) Eric and Felix are true healers. I'm pretty sure they would be too humble to make such a statement, but I will for them. Dr. Vroom and Dr. Wolf aren't trying to offer you some fancy gimmick, or trying to get you to come back for three sessions a week, and they won't put you into the box of what they "do" like some chiropractors. Instead they listen with their hearts, ears, and hands. And in each session (if you want) you experience acupuncture, chiropractic and massage, along with nutritional advice, exercise suggestions, and other insights, if you're interested. The clinic itself feels like a communal gathering spot full of warmth, kindness, great music and healing island energy. I was referred to Unity Wellness by two different friends. I've been to several acupuncture places but Felix is hands down the best in my opinion. I felt a huge difference from him whereas I felt nothing from the other places. Eric is just as awesome too. After 4 treatments for an injury, he was honest and said that he now recommends seeing my primary doctor for the pinched nerve because my spine is corrected but I'm still pinched. I started going to see Dr. Vroom when he had a solo chiropractic practice because of a decade old sport injury that was causing me pain for years. I had seen other chiropractors, but it didn't really help. Eric and Felix had a vision of a more holistic approach that incorporates chiropractic and acupuncture in a one stop shop. It was a brilliant idea. Now I can say that I don't experience pain from this injury anymore after getting consistent chiropractic and acupuncture care. When you walk into their space, you automatically feel a calming, yet uplifting energy. They are located on the corner of Monsarrat Avenue and Diamond Head Circle. Insurance plans aren't accepted, but they do offer affordable out-of-pocket plans that are definitely worth it. My back has been killing me for months. Of course it wasn't too sore in the beginning and I figured the pain will eventually go away with some drugs and stretching. Forward 3 months, on the pain scale I went from a 3 to a 9. I was a total bi#@h to my wonderful husband that tried to massage and make warm compresses for me to help with the pain. I broke and decided to seek professional help. A friend of mine referred me to Dr. Eric Vroom. She said that her husband threw his back out a few weeks ago and after 2 sessions he was good as new. So, I decided why the hell not. I went, but found the place a bit hard to find. Thankfully I looked on Yelp and used the pictures and it helped me find the front door. Anyway, in the past I have seen other chiropractors, but the difference that I love is that before you get aligned his partner performs acupuncture to help loosen the muscle. I have never had acupuncture before and now that I had it I will definitely suggest everyone to try it. Of course, make sure the person performing the acupuncture service knows what he or she is doing since needles are involved (not to draw blood, for for relaxing and muscle loosening.) Once the acupuncture is done, Eric then takes over and does his chiropractic magic. Long story short ... by the time I left his office my pain went from a 9 to 3. Of course I will need to see him for another check up, but I can sit, move, and sleep better. I am also sure that on my next visit I will be 100% good. However, even though I would be healed, I will be coming back once a month for maintenance. So if you have a sore back and/or need alignment, check these dynamic duo out. Oh a heads up! I went to Unity Wellness for the first time a few days ago with crippling sciatica. I was experiencing a sharp, stabbing pain through my right hip with each step . In march 2016, I was looking for a chiropractor for my son. All the places I called on that day were busy and I was gently guided to this place :) I am so happy to have found a chiropractor and an acupuncturist. They are very friendly, patient, they listen, share their thoughts and approach their profession with a holistic point of view and I absolutely love them, love what they are doing and love the place. I had a boot and was using crutches. 2 days later I could hop around and after a few days I left the boot and crutches.
