The initial communication with Allied Party Rental was very positive. When communicating through email, the staff was friendly, and everything seemed to be on track. I was optimistic about the service and excited for the event. Delivery day is where everything began to go wrong. I admit that I overlooked the delivery date on the contract and was not expecting the equipment to be delivered almost five days prior to the event. When the delivery team arrived, I was not home and informed my husband that there was an error and he then informed them as such, so they left. I immediately contacted Allied Party Rental and was made aware of the original contract delivery date. Within minutes of the drivers leaving, someone at the company was able to speak with the drivers and the next step decided was that they would go to lunch and would return to drop-off the equipment right after. For anyone wondering why I had concerns with the initial delivery, it was because I was scheduled to host two events. The first event was on Saturday, and the tent was not needed because it would reduce the necessary space and interfere with the ability to use a grill. The second event, where the tent was required, was scheduled for Monday. After two hours of waiting, I made a call to check their status. I was informed they were on their way. After an additional 3 hours of waiting (total of 5+ hours later) I was now understandably frustrated that the delivery team had not returned. On my final call to check the delivery status, I expressed my frustration to Kristen and asked for a specific arrival time, as I had other plans. She responded rudely, saying, "Well, ma'am, you turned our drivers away, they were there, and your contract stated this was your delivery date." When I asked if they provided delivery reminder calls/emails/text messages, to check the time of availability, I was told they did not. When I mentioned that my review of the company would not be favorable, I was put on hold and then a manager got on the line. I explained the issue and asked why Kristen transferred me without first updating me of the transfer, his response was "because when someone is threatening a poor review, I need to be made aware." He then proceeded to not take accountability or to apologize for the extended delay. I will note that the delivery team arrived while I was on the phone with the manager. Post the delivery debacle, I found that the tent equipment had holes in two of the plastic "window/wall" sections as well as black smudge marks visible on the clear sections that could not be cleaned using a soft microfiber cloth. This looked unsightly and required me to be creative with decorating. Additionally, the tables and chairs were very dirty and needed significant cleaning before use, which was unacceptable even though we ordered linen. Overall, I just found that there was a lack of accountability and communication with the rental company not accepting responsibility for the additional five-hour wait after being told the team would return right after lunch and, that the company does not provide delivery confirmation calls/emails/text messages or reminders, which could have possibly prevented this issue. To add to this unfortunate experience, the equipment pickup, which I understood was supposed to be the next business day after the scheduled event, did not go as planned either. Given the stress and inconvenience caused by these problems, I cannot recommend Allied Party Rental and will not use them for any of my future events.
