I ordered through DoorDash and I received my order in a decent amount of time. I ordered the Kabuki, Spicy California roll, and shrimp tempura roll. I tried the Spicy California roll first and was a little disappointed. The filling was a bit too warm for my liking. It's like the crab salad was not in a cold fridge so by the time it got to me it was already slightly warm. The shrimp tempura was good. Can't really go wrong with that. No real complaints. The Kabuki was just okay. The abundance of onion crunch kind of threw me off. But I liked it. Unfortunately, I was mostly full and could not eat all of it. I did put it in the fridge but day old sushi is never good because of the rice texture. I'm not in a rush to eat from here again, but try it for yourself!!! read more

I wanted to come back and update this review with good news. After my review the owner or an employee reached out and explained the quality issue with my eel and even apologized with a refund. I did not take the refund as I felt that was too kind of them and just appreciated them reaching out with such courtesy and kindness to solve the issue Sometimes it's just an issue with supplier, but their courtesy and effort to reach out was their shining star of service. They are very lovely and I appreciate the thought, research, and concern for my order read more

Moolkogi Sushi - Eel Cucumber Roll Salmon Avocado Roll - Sushi Bars Near Me - Catonsville, Maryland

Ordered catering for 4. Paid a little short of $100 for a platter and WOW IT WAS BAD. I try to stay away from negative reviews, but this one was so so bad, especially for how much money we paid, that I need to post this review so the owners can read, and step up. They either prepared this platter for someone who ordered earlier in the day & never picked up.... Or something because sushi, sashimi, and rolls were all stone cold. To a point where rice felt like rocks, and it was brittle / falling off as we pick one up to eat. I'm sure that the platter was in the fridge for at least half a day. Not exaggerating, I thought their quality was a tad bit better than on-campus / 7Eleven sushi we used to eat back during college days. I absolutely did NOT expect this when I paid good money for catering!!! What was so surprising was that the pictures on yelp looked great! The platter looked fine when we picked it up! We couldn't tell until we had a bite :'( We usually cater from Sushi Farm @HMart, but decided to try something else because Moolkogi was about ~$10-15 cheaper. Oh man, a HUGE MISTAKE. We will never ever be ordering from Moolkogi again. Maybe their quality was better they first opened? I don't know... but take your money, go somewhere else. read more

A relative recommended this place raving about its sushi, so I went not expecting it to meet my standards. Located in Catonsville, this little sushi shop within H Mart (6600 Baltimore National Pike,) has the freshest, most delicate, best tasting and most excellently prepared dishes I have ever had in Maryland! The salmon is exquisite, and the sushi veggie fixins very fresh, crisp, exotic, and delectable! Equally as notable is the wonderful couple who own/work Moolkogi and are the most congenial, kind, welcoming people in the world, and their kindness seems very very authentic! Please try this place for yourself! I cannot say much about the market personnel, but I give this sushi shop that is within the market, but is a separate entity, FIVE STARS!!! Good eats!!!! read more

Moolkogi Sushi - DELISH AUTHENTIC! Salmon Sushimi and Philly roll w/avacado - Sushi Bars Near Me - Catonsville, Maryland

I love coming here for a quick bite! Sushi is my favorite type of food and this little stand inside Lotte makes great sushi for an EXTREMELY affordable price. The owner is also so kind and nice and sometimes will let you know what the best fish of the day is! read more

Wow, I almost don't want to review this place because the lines are already crazy here (it's that good!), but I finally found the name of it online to share with the world. This hidden gem is located inside Lotte. Their sushi is such a steal, you can get a variety of rolls in the $4-8 range at any time of the day. It's made fresh (downside is it does take a little bit, so this is a good time to go grocery shopping). Rolls are obviously not always the highest quality in terms of rice (consistency, rolling, etc.), but boy is this fresh and a great deal. The scallop roll here is hands down my favorite one. When I crave some fast take out sushi, this is 100% my go too. Also, they always great you with a smile, what more can you ask for? read more

Moolkogi Sushi - Sushi Bars Near Me - Catonsville, Maryland

Moolkogi Sushi is a sushi kiosk, located inside Lotte, offering super fresh sushi and rolls on a daily basis! They have your standard rolls (such as California, California Crab Salad, Spicy California, California with Fish Egg, Tuna Avocado, Salmon Avocado, Spicy Tuna, Spicy Salmon Avocado, Eel Cucumber, Scallop, Spicy Scallop, Tuna, etc.), Shrimp Tempura, Philadelphia Rolls, Volcano Rolls, Yellow Tail, other specialty rolls (such as chirashi, Kabuki, Rainbow, Dragon, Giant Spicy Shrimp, Caterpillar, etc.), veggie rolls, nigiri, sashimi, and platters. Don't see what you want or some of them are out from their case? Ask! The sushi chefs are more than happy to make the rolls you want, all made-to-order! I love their Spicy Salmon Avocado, the Spicy Tuna, the Rainbow, the Giant Spicy Shrimp, and the Shrimp Tempura. I recommend anything that is tempura or if contains crunch, to make it to-order, as the crunches can get soggy really fast! Each time we go, we are always greeted so warmly and with a smile; the sushi is always fresh, and I love that they are so so so consistent! Don't let the fact that this is located in a grocery store deter you! You'll be more than pleasantly surprised! Prices are super competitive, and this place seems to have a loyal following. Definitely check Moolkogi out - you'll become a fan! +delicious and fresh sushi and rolls! +party platters available +friendly staff! +located inside Lotte +plenty of parking in the shared plaza lot read more

Moolkogi Sushi - Party platter boat M - Sushi Bars Near Me - Catonsville, Maryland

Formerly Rainbow Sushi, Moolkogi is a takeout only counter located in the back of the new(er) Lotte Supermarket off rt 40. They offer an impressive variety of sushi, including nigiri, sashimi and a laundry list of specialty maki. Pricing is also very reasonable, with typical roll prices ranging from $4-8. They also offer large format catering trays, with piece counts ranging from 30 to 80 for the largest of sushi eater gatherings. On our most recent visit, we had ordered their largest maki/sashimi/nigiri tray, the Large boat for a Holiday get together. We called the order in a few days before our desired pickup date. Unfortunately, the day of pickup our order had been overlooked and was not ready for our 3pm pickup time. Moolkogi realized their error and dropped everything to get our tray made on the spot. To my surprise, the order was ready in a little under 10 minutes! Mistakes happen, but what a restaurant does to remedy a situation is what can make them shine. On top of the quick turnaround, Moolkogi included a free order of octopus salad for our trouble. The sushi quality itself was excellent. Each piece was generous in size and fish. The rice on both the maki and nigiri was perfectly steamed and held their form. The presentation was also top tier, with each piece beautifully printed on each platter. Overall, if you are in the Catonsville area and need a quick sushi fix or a party platter to go, Moolkogi has you covered! read more

This is a small sushi stand inside the lotte in Catonsville and it is such a gem! They are open all days except Wednesday until 7 PM. Card is accepted with a minimum of $7. I opted for the spicy salmon roll and the dragon roll. They also have sashimi options and a tempura don. The rice was the perfect texture and well seasoned and the fish was fresh. Prices are reasonable and the staff are excellent. Highly recommended! read more

My fave are crunch tuna, shrimp tempura and kabuki literally in that order. Three, the prices are beyond amazing! read more

Always good food. Sometimes they send out extra rolls as a treat. Never had any problems. Fish is fresh and everything is well done.

Awesome sushi, very friendly staff/owner and very good prices. Try the Moolkogi special roll. They're inside the lotte store so takeout only. You can call ahead and order off the menu, you don't have to get just what's available up front. Highly recommended! read more

This little sushi stand in Lotte market is such a gem! It definitely deserves more praise and attention than it has. I have been going here since it was rainbow sushi, but their quality and prices have remained consistent. You can get basic rolls, speciality rolls, sashimi and sushi platters for very affordable prices. Their 8 piece roles range from $3.50-7. They offer mixed sushi for ~$11/12. The best thing about this place is their service. Nathan and his team are always pleasant when I visit. They're extremely friendly and accommodating. Once I called to get a sushi platter the day of. Despite their 24 hour notice policy, they were able to squeeze me in. If you are ever looking for a quick lunch, or some simple sushi this is your place!! read more

I don't know how this place is so cheap, because the fish isn't crappy. It's always fresh and good, and they have some interesting special rolls. An order of tuna nigiri on Doordash is less than $5, which is way cheaper than anywhere else, and it was great! They also package the food really well and include a little bag of ice so the order stays fresh! Definitely check this place out if you haven't already. read more

Very good place for take out sushi. Owner is very nice person and taste very fresh and prices are reasonable.

Excellent fresh sushi and great service reasonably priced love the flavors, vegetarian cucumber rolls and aac rolls are great as well

Amazing food and portions for great service. Best in the area. Such friendly owner/employees.

I came here and got the sashimi, roll, and nigiri combo platter for $60 for my GF bday. It was delicious. The sashimi was cut up very thick and it definitely didn't look like they were going to to be cheap on it by holding back on the ingredients. If you want a sushi platter though, you would have to call in advance. One of the staff member said they can prepare it for you the same day if it is the weekday, but ideally within 24 hours if it is the weekend. They are located into the Lotte Supermarket in Cantonsville. It is basically a small sushi stand inside the grocery store by the fish market. Their prices are very reasonable they don't cut back on their quality or quantity. If you want very affordable sushi with good quality, I would highly recommend this place. I prefer it over the one in BeSeTo and H Mart, although I believe they do have more variety vs. Moolkogi. read more

Best most affordable sushi in the area. Great service. Put in your order and shop all the great products at Lotto Market.

They are open still during Covid-19 and are located inside the Lotte supermarket. I enjoy their sushi and they usually have a decent variety. It is made fresh and I like the fact that I can quickly stop in and grab quality sushi. Obviously, it is a different experience than a restaurant, but the bang for the buck is excellent. I have been here dozens of times and have referred them to my family. read more
