A few years ago, it was so challenging to find somewhere that sugars, which is how I stumbled upon Mooi in my research. And I'm so glad I did! Tracy and Kelsey are definitely my favorites and most frequented! They are both so great at making you feel comfortable! The space is always clean and it gives off such friendly neighborhood vibes. I honestly cannot say enough wonderful things about Mooi. Every single time I go, I leave feeling taken care of in a way that's so so rare. It's one of those places where you can tell people genuinely love what they do, and it shows in every detail. I'm a super introvert and things like airbrush tan situations make me extremely nervous to the point where I normally just avoid them altogether. But Tracy is magic. She takes such incredible care, reminds you she does this all the time, and somehow makes something that feels intimidating feel calm, professional, and completely safe. She is so skilled, so kind, and so unbelievably professional. Today I came in for a facial with Tarah, and I told her afterward that she took better care of me than my own mother... and I mean it. I walked out with a broken brain, like, couldn't-form-words, totally reset, deeply cared for. It was one of the best treatments I've ever had. The kind where you don't just feel relaxed, you feel restored. The entire studio also has the best energy. Nothing pretentious. Just pure good vibes. It feels like a true "girls' girl" space where you can show up exactly as you are and immediately feel at ease. The space itself is beautiful, calming, and welcoming, and the people make it even better. The price point is exceptional especially for the level of quality you're getting. Highest-quality products, highest-quality care, and a team that is unbelievably talented, warm, and thoughtful. It feels like a luxury experience without the stiffness or intimidation that sometimes comes with that. I literally drive from Golden to the Highlands just to come here, and I would do it every time without hesitation. It is more than worth it. Loved most of them. Honestly Tracy is my favorite. When my local sugarist moved away I was so sad and felt a bit of a scramble to find a new person. I did some yelping and found Tracy! I reallllly wanted to love this place, was looking forward to it all week. I got a facial and spray tan for a wedding that I'm in this weekend. I've gotten so many facials before and this was the first one I genuinely felt bad for asking questions to the esthetician and I was only asked if I had any allergies. I also said I was very open to suggestions about my skincare as I'm new to the area and very dry. I then just got an extremely long derma-planning session followed by a really long jelly mask? Not sure how that's a custom facial. It's Just not what I was expecting nor wanted. She also didn't make me feel better about how dark/splotchy my tan had already started to look. Amazing! The hydra facial was the best facial I've ever experienced. If you want to treat yourself, do it! I've also been sprayed tanned, lash extensions, and that process that curls your lashes. If you are looking for a place to have a Brazillian done, I highly recommend Tracy! I had a lot of trepidation about getting my first Brazillian (more my own sense of mortification than the anticipated pain) but Tracy was so professional and put me right at ease. While yes, the first time was painful, Tracy assured me that subsequent visits ( I go for monthly maintenance now) would get less and less painful. And she was absolutely right. Little to no customer interaction beyond the front desk (they were nice!), I went in with some actual skin concerns but at no point did anyone ask me if I had anything I wanted addressed. My service had no personalization or discussion whatsoever. I was really hoping to find a great skincare place in the neighborhood, and maybe it's my bad that a Hydrafacial is totally one-sized-fits-all (not what I understood going in), I've never gone in for a facial where nothing except allergies were discussed. read more
