I was craving some R&R and booked a package at Indulgences Day Spa. I had driven by the location countless times and had no idea there was a spa there, and wasn't sure what to expect. Not ultra fancy and high end, but relaxing, clean, and exactly what I needed! The spa was clean and inviting. I was given a robe, wrap, and spa shoes and was able to enjoy the steam room, tea, and infused water in between my massage and facial. The massage was pretty good and the facial was great! She even tailored the order of the massage by starting with feet/legs so that once she got the the back/shoulders/neck she could spend time on that region. My review is solely regarding the customer service of the receptionist for my services today 04/06. I arrived at 10:33, 3 minutes late. I filled out intake paperwork, which asked for my birthday to receive a complimentary birthday gift. As today is my birthday, I assumed the receptionist would have 1. Acknowledged it as a form of customer service 2. Mentioned the complimentary gift stated on the intake form Receptionist then walked me to the locker room and half whispered/mumbled something, leaving me confused. Had she asked "is this your first time with us?" and provided me with a brief walkthrough of where to go, I would not have had to stand and wait for her to return and ask for clarification. She briefly apologized, no worries. As I went to pay, my esthetician voiced "happy birthday!" in front of the receptionist to me, and the receptionist did not say anything. No mention of it or the supposed complimentary gift. Just weird customer service from her. Having been there from 10:33-2:45 and spending ~$400, I would have expected a bit more customer service from the first person I see when I walk into the door. This little place is such a gem. I used to live in the neighborhood, but moved a few months ago. I tried to find a day spa near my new house, but could only find botox injecting med-spas. I want the whole experience, robe, slippers, steam, tea, and relaxation room, they have everything here and the cost is more reasonable than the massive chain (Woodhouse) and the drive is more reasonable than going up to Evergreen. I relaxed in the steam room before my facial and rested in the relaxation room after. If you're looking for something in town and not a get away weekend, I highly recommend this place. I pass this spa each day on my way to drop off my kiddo at school- I took a look and they were have a "Santa's little helper" special that included a 45 minute massage and a 45 minute facial with a complimentary "upgrade"- I chose the sugar foot scrub. The good- welcoming, a cute store filled with great gift items, and I enjoyed the facial. The not so good- I didn't find out that I had a male massage therapist until right before my massage(not really opposed) from the start I did not feel comfortable- he informed me that with such short time we could only maybe do my neck and shoulders and feet- the "upgrade" was included in the 45 minutes which he was a few minutes late too- I would be more understanding if it had been more intentional overall- he had very hairy arms which felt uncomfortable on my back and I had to tell him less pressure a couple of times(very jabby with elbows) it also seemed like he was very distracted- only using one hand much of the time? Like he was on his phone?! It would go from too much pressure to no pressure to nothing, very inconsistent. Thank goodness the sweet girl who gave me a facial afterwards was attentive and delightful! Got my wife a gift card for any service here and they took it upon themselves to write in their own gratuity after the service. They never asked her how much she would like to leave for gratuity. I find this very unprofessional for a business to do this without talking to the customer first. And for what services she did get, they seem pretty expensive compared to other spas in the area, especially for the education and experience level of her providers. Update: Management reached out to me after leaving this review, and was very apologetic about the experience my wife had. They informed me that the issues she experienced was not their normal business practice and they took educational steps to make sure this was not to happen again. They even offered her a small refund on her visit so she could comeback and they could have the opportunity to show her that her experience wasn't the norm. I usually have a great experience here and this last time around I was pretty disappointed. I scheduled a 90 min massage and the massage therapist accidentally ended it at 60 mins. Mind you, I was only charged for the 60 min but I rarely am satisfied w a 60 min massage-hence why I scheduled the 90 min...no add'l discount offered and still tipped the full 20%. I then asked about the steam room use as I had some time to kill...and was told it was $5 w massage service. Why not just build this into the price? I went to indulgence spa for the first time on May 28th. I was hesitant when arriving because I'm not familiar with the area and it seemed a little shady. Well you can't judge a book by its cover because this place was anything but that. I was greeted at the front desk by really friendly staff. They then explained to me the process of everything then provided me with my robe, slippers and a tour of the facility. After changing I sat in the steam room for 15 mins which was great. Then Cassandra my masseuse came and got me. The 90 minute massage was absolutely wonderful! It really fulfilled all of my needs and expectations. After, I drank some more cucumber lime water (my fav!) and relaxed for a few minutes while waiting for Rose who did my 30 minute facial. I never had a facial before and was second guessing if this was something I should have done, but wow am I happy I did. My face looked 10 years younger and I'm not exaggerating. Rose was informative every step of the way and helped provide tips that could help me take better care of my skin. Lastly, I didn't realize there was a discount for booking more than 1 service, but I sure was glad to find that out. This review includes many mixed feelings but again I'd encourage people to check it out for themselves. Firstly, my husband and I booked a body exfoliate service and he got the gentleman's facial. I'll start with my experience- we were the first to check in once they opened, I made eye contact with everyone at the front desk. Cool, we were check in and I got my service but it was very dull. This may be because I've had full body exfoliating experiences in Southeast Asia and it was very thorough. Anyways, it was mentioned that the dry scrub I can take home after. When I was getting ready to leave the room the towel and brush were against a pricing sheet- I thought it was some sneaky way to charge it to my tab so I left it there. After the women who helped me, she wore glasses I didn't get her name said oh yea you can relax in the relax lounge- sure even though I had all the regular clothes on... apparently there was the option to steam for a long time according to my husband based off of his experience. 1. I was upset and frustrated that no one explained to me what the processed looked like and what my options were 2. My husband's facial person told me I had the option to get into a robe and cover up to use the spa and so I went to the front as she told me too- the 2 front desk folks were like Hi have you been checked in blah blah blah. (They should know who has been check in or not but of course they would say it was busy Vday weekend...) I said I have and I believe I'm supposed to get a robe and some flip flops? Both were just confused as much as I was and no one seemed to clarify anything! Anyways the whole point is this was not an inexpensive leisurely experience therefore as customers we expect to know what we are getting into and hopefully have someone to guide us not confuse us. On the other hand, my husband enjoyed his gentleman's facial but I left very unsatisfied and honestly wishing I gave my money to the homeless or something... What an amazing place, Iv had 100's of massages and this place is top notch. I absolutely love doing 20-30 minutes in steam room before massage. It really relaxes you to get the most of your massage. My latest massage here was from Cilia and it very well could have been the best massage of my life. The membership programs look like a much better deal then other membership programs Iv looked into. The fact that you get a free steam before your massage is absolutely incredible. It really loosens up and relaxes your muscles. After check in, I was shown around to the locker rooms (very clean with great little extras), small waiting area (comfortable with water, tea, and snacks), and the steam room (so relaxing). The massage itself included a warm lavender scented towel draped over your back, a cool towel gently placed over your eyes, and hot towels wrapped around your feet. Talk about one tranquilizing moment after another. I'd driven by this place countless times and never even noticed it. Not a fancy building, small sign outside, very modest. My wife scheduled us for a 60-minute couples massage during our vacation in Denver. We were delighted that Indulgences had an opening for us on only two days' notice. The scheduling specialist was friendly and knowledgable and invited us to arrive early if we wanted to relax in the steam room prior to our massages. We came in about 25 minutes early and were given a tour of the spa and provided with wraps, robes, and slippers. We spent about 15 minutes in the steam room and were greeted by our massage therapists, Celia and Cassandra. The environment was relaxing and comfortable, and my wife and I both found the massages therapeutic and focused on our areas of tension. The spa provided tea and infused water and had a nice spacious area to relax in if you are waiting for a partner. The boutique upstairs sells spa accoutrements if you want to purchase something to create your own spa experience at home! read more

This place has such great reviews, as a spa-aholic I was so pumped when I realized it was right down the block from me. However, after finally getting in I have to admit I'm kind of disappointed. Here's the deal... If you are a spa lover. Like the type of person who wants to be offered a robe and slippers and a shower, steam or sauna and peaceful lounge to enjoy for a while before your session - this isn't really the place for you. While you apparently get those things if you sign up for the right treatment - those things really only include a steam room and a very small lounge with fruit infused water and granola bars. This is in no way a place I'd want to spend a spa day at. The customer service is what really got me. I wanted to schedule a massage a body scrub but their online booking was down. I called during regular business hours but got voicemail. They called me back, but as it was a weekday I couldn't answer bc I was at work. They left a message offering a time. Great! I called back, again, no one answered. So I left a vm to confirm that I would love to come in at the time they offered. They called me back a while later- again, while I'm still at work, to say that they need to speak to me to confirm my appointment. Are you kidding me?! Maybe try answering the phone! I was so infuriated and frustrated I went somewhere else for my massage. (White Lotus, and now I go there regularly for massage and yoga) I decided to give this place another try bc it's literally 2 blocks away from me and I needed a bikini. This time when I called someone picked up- hurray for small miracles. I took the opportunity to ask about the lounge and amenities I had read so many great reviews about- explaining to the woman that I've been looking for a regular spa to go to, even if just for some sauna time. She offered to show me around if I arrived early. Great! I arrive for my wax a full 15 min early. The 3 women at the front are so busy talking about how 'he' (I can only assume the owner) is going to Costco to buy more fruit for the water and discussing the fruit combos that they hand me paperwork but never stop talking to each other for me to ask about being shown around. Also, instead of being brought to the lounge to wait, I'm left to walk around the gift shop/boutique. I was pretty annoyed to say the least, Esp considering that when arriving for a very unpleasant service having a moment to relax can make a big difference. When the woman who would be waxing me came out I asked her to show me around. She seemed surprised and told me that they don't offer the facilities to those getting waxed (bc apparently paying $60+ for a wax doesn't warrant you a real customer?) but showed me around none the less. The facilities are pretty basic and unimpressive which I found disappointing given the reviews. They're okay - just not 5 star spa worthy. My wax began with me changing in the room and leaving my clothes on a chair. Not what I want from a 5 star spa. The practitioner was very nice but it was the longest wax I think I've ever had and it hurt like it was my first even though it was a clean up. She also left hair in some places and I pay extra for a Brazilian. I gave her a second try and explained I was disappointed about the hair she left last time and that I got some bumps, which i never get. She made some adjustments and suggested tea tree oil. Honestly - it still wasn't the best wax. She also disclosed that since I was reacting to the pain last time it had made her nervous, which I'm assuming is what resulted in my initial subpar wax. Give me a break. You're a pro and performing a service that hurts like hell. I will note that at my second visit there was a man working the front who I assume was the owner. He was very nice. Comically, he couldn't find me in the system bc I was entered wrong by the group of women too busy talking about what fruits to put in the water next to even enter my info correctly. It was everything I could do to bite my tongue and not say something (I didn't wasn't to get fired up before my service). I will give this place one more try with different service provider simply because of convenience. To add to my lack of enthusiasm for this place when I looked into getting a facial here I realized that they have the same 2 women offering all of the services. Maybe I'm a spa snob but I'm used to folks having their specialties. I've never seen the same woman for my wax as my facial. All in all- I feel like this is like the Homewood Suites of spas. It's by no means fancy, but it's nice enough and will so if you're not into spending over $100 for each treatment. I guess it makes the 'you get what you pay form' statement true. read more

My wife and I have an understanding, we both do what needs to be done to feel and look our best for each other. As such, I have been a frequent visitor to Indulgences Day Spa because, although I want to look like a man, I don't want to look like a cave man! Most times I get in there, do my thing and I get the hell out. No small talk no questions asked. Today I woke up and my wife was exhausted from a long weekend. I decided she needed to be spoiled so a called to set an appointment for her at Indulgences. When we walked in, the front staff was, as always, very friendly. They took my wife and I back and showed her around the place. After being shown around, I went back for my service and 10 minutes later I was done. I walked out to the front and was ready to take a seat, when the receptionist asked me if I'd like to go to the steam room since I had to wait for my wife anyways. I was about to say no, when I thought, "oh, what the hell!" I went back and changed and went into the steam room, what an experience! They have these eucalyptus towels that you can take in with you that make the whole experience very unique. After about 10 minutes, I went out and noticed that they had a refreshment bar set up. I made myself a cup of tea and had an apple. I went back in again and was shortly joined by my wife. We spent another 10 minutes in the steam talking about how great this all was. Afterwards I went to the mens locker room. It was well stocked with towels and soaps that had a smell that made me feel like I had just done something very rugged like...like I had just built a log cabin in the middle of a blizzard at night. I then took a not so quick shower and dressed. When I came out my wife and the receptionist shared a quick smile at my expense. It turns out that I was in the shower a lot longer than I thought. I never thought that I could feel so at home and so relaxed in a place that I had so often tried to rush through. We both felt like two kids coming home from a relaxing day at the beach. We were in such good moods that we decided to buy hand creams for our Grandmas, just 'cause. This was an incredible experience. I have been to a lot of spas (okay so that sounds snobbish, but you know - A girl needs some pampering). The spa itself is so beautiful I just wanted to browse in the lobby, hang out in the quiet area which included tea, snacks, big, comfy, soft furniture and light music. They have fruit infused water which was offered after every step of treatment. I started with the steam room - it was steamy, wonderful and clean. They thought of EVERYTHING! They had a cozy locker-room, a robe, wrap and eucalyptus cool washcloths for the steam room. Next was a one hour massage. Tabatha was incredibly gentle where I needed her to be and very aware of the amount of pressure. She was friendly and talkative only when I was, otherwise she quietly went about soothing my muscles. Essential Oil wrap - this was the first time I have tried this because it just sounds weird. IT WAS WEIRD, in the most wonderful of ways. I then moved into the quiet area to sip hot tea and rest before my facial. I added microderm abrasion which can feel cold and medical, not soothing. This however was perfect, the soft lighting, wonderful aromatherapy and professionalism of Megan was great. When it was all done, I returned to the locker room, feeling quite relaxed and already thinking about what I wanted next time I come back. As I went to leave, I was slightly disturbed by another patron that came in with her husband and dumped their 7 year old in the lobby making her promise to behave to which she sat in a chair yelling "hey Siri" on her mom's phone over and over again. This was my happy gateway during trip in Denver. The place has a homey-feel. It has basic amenities like shower, locker's room and bathroom for both gender. It also has a steam room to be used before or after your service. I came here on a Friday afternoon. I was able to book a massage the day of. I have been to Indulgences many times throughout the years, but this was my first time back since Covid. As a registered nurse, I was extremely impressed with the Covid measures in place both in the retail area as well as the service I received, this time being a facial wax. They greeted me at the door to take my temperature and screen me for any symptoms or exposure to Covid. They then offed me a pair of disposable gloves to do my retail shopping. They also had hand sanitizer available for my use. All are required to wear a mask in the spa /retail space, as well as social distance. And they were staggering their appt. times as to limit number of clients at a time. My service was performed by an esthetician with a face mask and shield, as well as gloves. Everyone at the spa now wears scrubs that are washed in house after their shift, and their shoes do not leave the salon. They seriously have this thing down!!! I was super impressed not only by the protocols to keep us all safe, but by the genuine kindness and appreciation of the staff for my patronage. This is a top notch facility so if you are hesitant about services during the time of covid, this is a really good choice for you. I highly recommend them! Rather, the front desk worker and esthetician proceeded to talk to each other about getting drunk over the weekend and how they were still hungover. They continued to talk about their weekend activities and the types of liquor they purchased, and paid me no mind as I filled out my paperwork. Great experience! I was in town on a Monday & looking for a spa to spend some time in & got to check out this adorable place. I booked a massage, body treatment & facial. They suggested I come in early & sit in the steam room, which was fantastic since my sinuses were acting up. I'm super picky about massages, but the therapist was wonderful & checked on me several times. He even got me a warm eucalyptus towel to put next to my face for my sinuses. I also love that the spa uses BioElements for their facials. Awesome prices & wonderful service. My only tiny little complaint was the therapists talking outside in the hallways.
