This is a pretty solid vegan spot, but you can definitely tell that the food is vegan if you are a meat eater. It just doesn't have quite a similar flavor and it's not as satisfying, with most of the food having some artificial flavor to it. I got to try their breakfast sandwich ("no egg" bagel), ranch, and peaches n cream egg roll. The egg just tasted strange. It was somewhat greasy and very artificial. The bagel itself was fine but just very standard. An okay price for the portion. The ranch it was served with was also watery and just didn't hit the spot. I will say though, I added a hashbrown and the hashbrown was very good. The egg roll was a bit better, but still had some artificial flavor to it. Portion was fine and the peaches tasted reasonably fresh for something like this. Not bad. All in all, it's an okay spot. The food looked better on the photos. Ordered the Christmas catering bundle for $75 they included a free apple pie and add on of garlic butter bread for $15. The quality of this food was terrible I wasn't expecting it to be this bad given that I had their Thanksgiving catering bundle. I stopped at Moodz because I'm so excited that they now serve vegan Wings, vegan Steak Rolls, vegan Chix wraps & sandwiches, Vegan Shrimp Po' Boys, and vegan Fish sandwiches!!!! What is this whole vegan loveliness?!!!!!! They also had some fabulous dessert items for very vegan treats like Strawberry Crunch cupcakes, Banan Nut Muffins, Cinnamon Crumb muffins, and the cutest little Apple Pies!!!! It's the PORTIONS for me... The food I tried was delicious! I tried the pasta salad, fsh sandwich, steak sandwich, and buffalo chicken fries over the course of a few visits. Pasta salad was a bit sweet for my taste, but to each their own. With the world we live in (higher costs and less product), I assumed the portions would be great. Trust me - you won't leave hungry. Once again the food was absolutely amazing. The loaded fries are the best. The fries by themselves are great, but you throw all this great stuff on it and it takes it over the top. The inside of this place is great and if the weather wasn't so nice i would've eaten inside. The guy that helped us could've been a tad nicer. It seemed like we were bothering him a little but it might have been a long day. Regardless of that, I'll be back. Another thing to keep in mind, you can't change make any substitutions. My wrap tated amazind and my wife's "chicken" patty was great rok she said. My wife ordered online, and I went to pick it up. It was all ready in a very reasonable amount of time, especially for being a Saturday. Cool new smoothie/juice bar in South Side. The decorations are super cool. Love the Funko figures and basketball hoop...what a fun place to drop in and have a smoothie. I tried the PB &J smoothie bowl. It was pretty good, but I think the chocolate chips should be shavings instead because they got very hard in the smoothie. Also some consistency on the menu would have been helpful. The smoothie bowl said to choose toppings, but the toppings were labeled as boosts on the menu. Also, maybe grouping the fruits and vegetables separately would help the avocado, kale and spinach from getting lost in the huge list of fruit. read more

This business is a mess. I've dined in, gotten take out and delivery, and each time there was a major problem with my order. They regularly close up to two hours early with no warning and no explanation. The menu inside the store is never updated or accurate, and the menu online is so screwed up it shows half the items as out of stock (some are, some aren't) and the other half of the items are actually out of stock, but are shown as in-stock. I ordered the golden BBQ chickn sandwich, banana pudding, and macaroni salad through their website, which requires a $25 minimum order and an EIGHT dollar service fee. An absolute racket. My food showed up 2.5 hours later, and I only received the sandwich. I called them to ask where my other two items were, and the guy just said "our website is messed up, but we refunded you for the items you didn't get." They hadn't. Two days later, the refund finally came through. But I still paid $26 for a sandwich, which was so overly smothered in sauce it was a dripping, soggy mess and almost inedible. I've given this place 4 chances now and they have never redeemed themselves. Never again. read more

I have been searching for local juice/smoothie bars and this how I discovered Moodz Co. which located on the Southside. I'm so glad I found this place, it's a black-owned business as well. The colors that pops out at you when you walk in this place and that's what caught my eye immediately. They have cool art work that's on the wall which are great for photos. The owner was so nice and took the time to tell me about his business. I purchased the mango smoothie which was so delicious. Rating this juice bar is a bit challenging. There are aspects that I feel are deserving of 5 stars and others that knock it down to 4 stars and below. I love the creativity of this establishment. The environment is urban and amazing! I love the chair hammocks, the music, and the lounge. I also love the changing off menu items and feature menu items. The staff were very friendly and patient with me. I was very indecisive due to how large their menu is and all they have to offer. I'd absolutely go back just to be in the atmosphere. It's very welcoming and I feel I could be very productive in the space. They offer chair hammocks and a couch, a tv and a few games. It's perfect for productivity with a mindful brain break. The two smoothies that I tried however, were a tad disappointing. They were watery and not very sweet (even with them adding the added sugar). If you've read my other reviews you know I can't stand added sugar and I most definitely don't want to add extra. This was the least tasty juice bar that I've been to in the city of Pittsburgh. read more

I always forget to take pictures here when I come because I can't wait to tuck into my smoothie once I get it. I was here for the Yelp Elite event during the summer, but came back recently because I was craving their smoothies again. I have tried the 777 smoothie, which is a little more sour and comes with strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, and raspberries, but it was so delicious and tasted so fresh; I have had the Mama Guava, which comes with mango, guava juice, honey, strawberry, and pineapple, and tastes like you're sitting on a beach out in Hawaii; and I have had the N7 smoothie, which comes with cinnamon, banana, strawberry, granola, almond butter, vanilla protein, and coconut, and is a thicker smoothie that makes for a perfect post workout shake! The N7 was my favorite because it reminded me of the protein shakes that I make at home, and I am a sucker for peanut butter! Looking for a good local place to go to get some quick vegan food for my woman and me and strolled in here. She got a guava mamma and we both ordered the pho-chicken wrap. I started chatting with a guy that works there and he just kept on about vegan food in Pittsburgh and at some point I said, o.k., so where are our sandwiches after I thought we had been waiting for too long. He replied fresh takes time. Finally, they came out and we headed out to eat them at home. They looked like burritos and not really wraps. The mushrooms were breaded and then fried and there was a ton of buffalo sauce and vegan ranch, in fact way too much in there. It was just smothered with this sauce. The wrap was really gross and way too spicy. My advice is don't order the food and just get a smoothie. It is really too bad because I had high hopes that they would have some food that we could eat when not feeling like cooking. No such luck this time. I paid 13 dollars for this monstrosity of a wrap which gave both of us tummy aches. read more

Not long after I left this place, I straight up recommended it to a friend. Here's why: The folks working there greeted me so warmly and so genuinely when I first walked in, and they were great to offer me suggestions based on what I was in the mood for. I also appreciated how real they were with me about which ingredients might taste a certain way based on their seasonality. With that in mind, I had the 777 (basically LOADS of berries) with almond milk. I added some avocado toast for kicks. It's not on the menu there in the restaurant, so be sure to ask about it (the details are on their menu online). Saying it was delicious is an understatement. SO good. Flavorful and filling, with the smoothie having just the right texture and amount of sweetness. And it's all vegan!! If that's your deal, get on over here. If it's not, get over here anyway!
