A couple of weeks ago we had a new move-in and at the move in we noticed a window had been broken by a rock or something ejected from a lawn mower. This was mid afternoon and our new resident was rather panicked. Our manager made one call to Affordable and the window was repaired in about two hours, calming the waters on what could have been a really bad situation. Thanks to all the great folks at this company, they are one company that truly lives up to their name. Robert C

My main point of contact was Cassie who I found to be friendly and easy to talk to. Even the guys that did the actual installs were freidnly, easy to work with and flexible with times. I had no problems in terms of customer service. However, after about a year some of the panes started fogging up, Cassie had them replaced for free under warranty. Then several more and once again they were replaced for free under warranty. As of now (2.5 years later) I have some 14 panes that are completely fogged up, unfortunately it looks like Affordable Screens and Glass has gone out of business. What sucks is I replaced a lot of panes because they were showing the initial signs of leaking (these are 20 year old panes), what I have now is significantly worse looking and did not even last 3 years.

After a time, the touch-up paint faded to a different color than the siding. When I contacted Fran, he went to the manufacturer to find a resolution. He went out of his way to make certain it was fixed. My house now looks like new again. Also, my compliments to Hector on a great job.

I set up a time with Stuart the owner to come by and take a look. Super nice, smart, friendly guy. He explained all of my options to me and explained the pros and cons of the different materials we could go with. He did not try to up-sell me on anything I didn't want and found a great product for a good price that worked within the budget I was looking for. When it was time to install the window Stuart's crew was fast, courteous, professional, and cleaned everything up perfectly. And I seriously love the window and the work they did. I know that's saying a lot about a window, but just take a look at the attached picture. I sit in this office about 60% of my life and that is being conservative. Now on beautiful days, instead of feeling stuck inside, I get to open two beautiful bay windows any time I want and let the world in. My wife and I will need new windows across the back of our house pretty soon, and I will not hesitate to call Stuart when the time comes.

The slider from Pella ($6800) was supposed to be a custom size, but still fell short of the door height of the doors in the house. Toby convinced us that the slider from Pella would fit within an inch of the height of our other doors. Installation was a mess. They used small drop cloths. We had dust everywhere. After installation, the door was over 3" short of expectations; a difference that you can't "unsee". The installers left without checking with us. The lock was installed upside down and would not work. We immediately brought this to Toby's attention telling him the door, as installed, was unacceptable. We wanted the slider removed. Toby and Accolade refused stating that we ordered a custom door and that we owned it. Follow door up suppliers measured the door and referred to it as "stock". Accolade did refund us the additional $1400 installation fee, but they stuck us with the $6800 cost of the door. We contacted Pella and they sided with Accolade. Everything was OK, until it wasn't. Never ever gonna hire another contractor in my life type of thing. But then we find Carlos and this all changed. He listened carefully to our ideas--and unlike so many other contractors--he wasn't the slightest bit condescending in applying his expertise to our vision. He was always quick to respond to calls/texts. He also has a top notch crew: polite, trustworthy, detail-oriented, and quality focused. Moreover, he was knowledgeable about city codes/permitting, and managed every aspect of this so we didn't have to worry about it. The most recent project was some serious leveling of the backyard and installation of a 450 sq ft composite deck and a sister paved patio area. The outcome was more gorgeous than we could've imagined. Something we'll enjoy for decades to come, and for a reasonable price. I highly recommend Carlos for all of your GC needs (interior and exterior).

So far, the workers installed ceiling lights, and an outdoor fan, repaired our wood fence, plus built a new wood entry gate into our backyard. They installed a low-flow toilet, two garbage disposals, plus a second stair rail, and grab bars in my shower to keep me safe. The reason we consistently use the company is because the workers always arrive on time. They are efficient and know exactly what they're doing, are always friendly, and make sure they clean up afterward. Communication, both by phone and in person, is exceptional. Their prices are amazingly reasonable. They are honest about their estimates. For example, we asked that one side of our backyard fence be replaced. Servando, the owner, looked at it and told us it didn't need to be replaced. All that was needed was the replacement of posts, plus slats. We always receive a call after work has been completed to make sure we're happy with the result. I can't say anything negative about this company or its employees. We couldn't be more pleased.
