Good food, good service, pleasant environment. This has become our 'go to' Mexican restaurant.

Fun atmosphere, festive decor, noisy and usually crowded. Menu has a good selection of typical Mexican dishes. Service was pretty good, food came out quickly but the waitress did not come back to fill water until we were finished. Food was pretty good, I've had better and I've had worse. I got the enchiladas supreme. Too much lettuce and only one underripe tomato slice.. My companions got pollo asada which was good, and the quesadilla without meat substituted with beans and yet was charged as if there was meat in it. There aren't a lot of food choices in Waynesboro so this one is usually busy and it's ok but there are better Mexican restaurants in Hagerstown. read more

Stopped in for dinner around 7:25pm on a Wednesday and honestly the food was amazing. Truly loved my meal and the staff was all wonderful. I live in York and I'm not in this area often but I'd absolutely stop in next time I'm in the area. read more

This place used to be five star amazing. Unfortunately during are last several visits a lot has changed with the new management. The shredded beef is grotesquely salty, the enchiladas barely filled, the fajitas had barely any meat or peppers and they use tomatoes has filler which are mushy and gross. The cheese dip is no longer authentic either it has some kind of weird gritty filler in it as well and is now watery. Unfortunately the only thing still great about it is the servers. read more

This place is my favorite when visiting family in Waynesboro. The service is good, the food is great. They have food the kids like ( chicken tenders) and the prices are reasonable. We have visited several times and they are consistent in both quality and service. Highly recommend. read more

Had a wonderful experience last night...best customer service I've had in a VERY LONG time. The food was good, the restaurant was clean, and the staff was extremely courteous. The food was average, however the homemade salsa was excellent! We really would have enjoyed a margarita however we were told only on Tuesday and Thursday. My friend raves about this place. After a while, I gave in. My wife and I went out on a Thursday night and it was more than worth it. I don't like Spanish rice, but I ate every grain on the plate. I got the burrito texano and my wife got the enchiladas rancheros. We finished it off with an order of churros. Everything was fantastic. It was the best Mexican meal I've had since leaving Utah. I got the pollo asado. It was delicious overall. I asked for no onions and peppers on my chicken, but still got onions and peppers which is why its a 4 star and not 5. I carried out but the staff I came in contact with was very polite. I thought 17$ was a little much though for the meal. Definitely plan on going back. read more

Good food, fast service, everything was accurate and served very hot, large portions and very affordable. Fresh, crispy warm chips with some nippy salsa, very nice. Ambiance was a little cold. Lots of tile and no music that we could hear. I ordered La Rancheria which was sauted mushrooms, tomatos and onions over beef tips = Mexican Stew. It was very good and so large a portion I had half of it boxed up to go. Walked out spending under $30 for three of us. Not bad. Authentic perhaps..but perhaps not. Waitress was amazing with keeping the water glasses topped off and we always go through the water! She was really pushing the desert in a good way but we were just too full. This is Mexican food at its best. I can't seem to think of anything but seriously generic things to say, such as how good everything is. It's true. Everything I have ever tried here is just darn good. The chips are baked in-house daily, the salsa must be fresh as well, and the bean and cheese dip must be tried to be believed. Somehow this place has managed to nail every single angle down. The food, decor and service all work together like a well oiled machine cranking out over 12000 rpms (that's 'really premium meals'). Aside from the strange mohawks the servers sport, its a great place for a few quick tacos or a hearty meal. Be prepared to spend a little more. It isn't taco bell after all. read more

Service- Ok. Server didn't ask if we wanted desert so left and went somewhere else. On the other hand they did well at keeping our drinks full and giving us plenty of chips and salsa. For the most part everyone was friendly. Food- Standard like the other reviews. One meal had a hair in it. And they remade it with no complaints. Easily my favorite Mexican place within an hours drive. To start with the restaurant is large and roomy and the service and quick and attentive. As soon as we were seated our drink order was taken and we were brought chips and salsa while we reviewed the menu. I ordered a burrito and my girlfriend ordered a taco salad. The meals came back quickly and were hot and fresh. The food here is as close to Mexican as can be found in the area!! read more

I have been to 3 of there locations here and two of the ones in chambersburg. I like that there is consistency in all locations and everyone I have been in is clean. I like that the salsa is fresh and you can taste the freshness in it. They are very good with getting your meal out fast and the prices are not going to break the bank. The cons however are it seems like the protions are not as big as they use to be. And the main dishes are somewhat bland for Mexican food. read more

My first time here was pretty good. Good food, fair prices, moderate service. Today we ordered pick up. They said 10 minutes, I was there. It was busy, so it took time, which I was cool with. I'd rather have good fresh food than rushed service; that's why I picked a restaurant rather than a fast food joint! I live less than a mile away, and when I got home, the food was a wet, lukewarm mess. Cheese on the tacos wasn't melted at all from the heat of the ingredients or a warmer, the hard shells were sopping wet and ripped open, with a fraction of the filling from our first time, the quesadilla was completely missing chicken and was also a flopping mess. I want to love these guys, cause the food was so good the first time, but they gotta keep up their standards and not deviate from the recipes when it gets busy, even if it takes longer! read more

WOW! This is the best out of all of their locations. This resturant is going to make all the other go out of business. It fills up quickly for dinner. You can BYOB and the atmosphere is great. Montezuma's (original author misspelled the name) has very good Mexican food, friendly staff, filling chips :-) and is very reasonably priced. One thing I can't quite grasp is that nearly all the male waitstaff have their hair shaved/styled into Mohawks. Weird! Not that it detracts from the quality of service, but just an oddity. A definite MUST for anyone who likes good grub from South of the Border. I didn't know that BYOB was allowed b/c of Pennsylvania's antiquated and out-dated liquor laws, so I'll be sure to bring some Tecate with me next time. Salute! read more

It is ok and that is about it. The service is always great but the food is very bland even for American style mexican food. Will go again but would not recommend. We stumbled on this place through Yelp. Otherwise we'd never have known it was there. Coming from Hagerstown, this is our new favorite Mexican restaurant. Chips are fresh and hot. The salsa is comparable to other good salsas we enjoy. The cheese dip is a big hit with my kids. I usually get the Fajitas Texanas, and they are outstanding. Hubby has tried almost everything. He was tipped off to a "secret" menu item by a waiter. The California Burrito. Your choice of meat filled with all things yummy, and nearly hanging off the plate. He's found his favorite meal. The staff are lovely. Very attentive and remember us when we return. The turn around time on your order is mind blowing. We estimated 5 minutes, so my son timed it. 4 minutes and 40 seconds. It's taken up to 10 when they're busy, but it's usually lightening fast. And with kids that's and major plus! read more

Solid 4 star on food and service , BYOB or stuck drinking tea in place of Dos Equis , chips are Very good, the salsa is so so .
