I mean, every time! And while I knew it would help decrease our utility bill, I didn't know exactly how dramatic of a change it would be. Thanks to Southwest Metal Roofing, I believe my average CPS Energy invoice was in the neighborhood of $150 a month -- for a two story, almost 2,500 square foot house. Un. Be. Lieve. A. Ble. The day the new homeowners had the inspection scheduled just happened to be the day our neighborhood was hit with a storm that produced massive hail. My kids and I were nearby and driving in it, as it produced pieces of ice falling from the sky that were literally the size of my fist. They sounded like indescribable explosions hitting my car (we were thankfully able to take shelter under the very last available spot at the local Sonic). My realtor informed me that everyone at the house that morning did, in fact, also suffer the hail's effects. But when it was all over done, and the inspector looked at our roof again, he turned to the buyers and their realtor emphasizing that we had "a damn good roof!" I don't doubt I'll be calling them again when I need roof estimates at any future home I move into. I called Stephens and they scheduled us for the coming Saturday to pull everything back and allegedly flash in both directions and reseal seems. Whether they did that or not, I am unsure, because they were not at my house long enough for me to finish a shower and come out and talk with them. They were in and out within 30 mins, not nearly long enough for what needed to be done. On top of that, noone even checked in as they were leaving to let me know it was corrected. Not to worry though, 3 weeks later and water is coming through my vent hood 2 feet adjacent at the same valley, this time shooting sparks where the water was dripping down into overhead electrical. So again, we call Stephens. This time they're going to let us wait out the additional 12 hours of rain and then come back Friday. Hopefully they'll fix it right this time and not further bandaid a bad install. I'll update this post if things take a turn, but currently we are unimpressed with what we've always known to be a good name.

First, they have a complete inability to show up when scheduled (3 times). When someone finally did arrive, the roofer was incredibly rude and flat-out refused to speak with me or answer any of my questions about my own roof. More importantly, they are trying to dodge their warranty commitments. A major issue was completely missed during their first trip out here, and they refuse to explain why it wasn't caught initially or why they are suddenly claiming it isn't covered under my warranty. To make matters worse, getting a straight answer about pricing is impossible. They failed to communicate their new estimate, and when they finally sent it, it was a confusing mess. It doesn't explain what the actual problem is, what work they plan to do, and provides zero breakdown of the costs. I have been asking to speak with a manager for over a week to get these issues sorted out, and I have been completely ignored. No callbacks, no explanations, no accountability. Save yourself the headache and hire a roofing company that actually communicates, honors their warranties, and treats customers with respect. SUMMARY: Requested a senior manager (for a week NOW) contact me regarding the following issues: 1. Severe Scheduling & Communication Failures: * Scheduled contractors failed to show up three times without notice. * Despite requesting a callback from management four times, I have received no response. * The scheduling process has been entirely inconsistent. I was told I was booked, received a text telling me to book, called to verify and was assured I was booked, and only on the fourth booking attempt did I finally receive a proper confirmation text and call. 2. Unauthorized Property Access: * The first team dispatched arrived without ever contacting me. They accessed my roof without permission and failed to ring the doorbell or knock. I was home at the time and had explicitly requested through scheduling to be phoned, texted, or have my doorbell rung. 3. Unprofessional Behavior & Disputed Work/Charges: * The most recent team dispatched was highly unprofessional; one member was actively rude and refused to speak to me. * This team simply guessed at the root cause of the issue and is now attempting to charge me for repairs that a previous team formally stated they had already completed. * Because of this contradiction, I now seriously question whether the initial sealing/repair work was ever actually performed.
