They…read morewere quick, at one point it was going to rain mid-way through the install so they pulled out all the stops and they got my roof done ahead of schedule before it rained. Since then the roof has held up great! Last week I started seeing a leak on the outside of my house. I called them up and the owner sent someone out the same day just to rule anything out. When they came out we both agreed that it didn't look like there was anything wrong with the roof, but that didn't stop them for doing their best to stop it from leaking they added some caulking around some holes in the stucco and masonry and fixed up some of the flashing near the leak. After that, it was still leaking, but Brad, the owner, was kind enough to come out again, even though it had NOTHING to do with the roof just to double-check on me and make sure that I was doing well. At the end of the day, they took off a side gutter and found a hole in the wall that the builders had left from when the house was built. Again, STILL not roof related, but they treated me like family and helped me as if it were and fixed it up for me. Literally cannot say enough good things about WDR! I was initially satisfied with the open wall inspection on a new home build. Later, I found that…read morethere were a few areas that left me dissatisfied. 1. After the initial inspection, a City of San Marcos inspector inspected the home and found that there was a problem with the trusses. A structural engineer had to inspect afterwards to certify that the repairs were corrected. This was not discovered during the Lange open wall inspection. 2. I felt that the support upright, which appeared to be a load bearing post, was inadequate on one corner of the home. It was simply some 2x4's. This was at the time brought to the attention of the inspector, who related there didn't seem to be any concern. I had no other like-models being built to compare the upright posts to. When I later found the same model in the framing stage, I noted that the post that seemed inadequate in my build, was substantially beefed up in this new build. I contacted Lange and asked them to advise me where I could go to get an opinion. A repair at that stage would have been easy to have corrected. Instead of advising me of the simple question that I asked, I just got the simple CYA response: - My eye didn't pick that up that day (bowing boards) - Whether that is proper load bearing, we don't have the papers and I'm not an engineer I just go by what is seen on the day of installation We didn't email the inspection company in order to complain about the inspection, we emailed and directly asked: "where you would you go to get this question resolved quickly? If this were your home, what would you do?" I was hoping to get a structural engineer referral. Time was of the essence and I didn't appreciate the inspector trying to cover himself, rather than giving my husband the answer he sought. To our surprise, the builder agreed with us and corrected the apparent defect. When we told the inspector the builder agreed with us, he corrected his report. At first, he wouldn't. We are getting a different inspection company for the next phase inspection.

A couple hours later, Adrian called and told me he would be there in a few days and would try to get to me as fast has he could, as the recent bad weather had them busy. Fast forward to a few days later. Adrian showed up and went to work. He looked in my attic, said he had located the problem and went to my roof. Shortly thereafter, he came down from the roof and showed me pictures. He said my roof was in good condition and that a boot at the bottom of a vent pipe became brittle and cracked, causing the small leak we found. A common problem he sees a lot with extreme heat and hot summers. He quoted me a price and scheduled me for a repair about a week later. He sent me an email with the total, the pictures, and my completion date. The process was painless and I appreciated the use of technology. The repairs were made. Fast forward to this year. My roof sprung another leak in the same area. I reached out to them the next day and got lucky. Adrian was able to come out the same day. This time the vent near the last repair needed sealant. He offered to stop by on his way home in the upcoming days and would place the sealant near the vent for free. He recommended the three vents installed by the original home builder be replaced with better ones and would send a quote. But for now, would patch me up to get me by and buy a little more time. Adrian made the complementary repair, and provided me a quote with the vent replacement. I can say with the upmost confidence that I highly recommend Roofer Chicks.
