I would happily recommend them to others. They started by removing damaged lath and plaster and replacing it with new drywall and insulation. They matched the original mud rolled texture perfectly. I then had them tear up old carpeting and fully replace the damaged sub flooring. They added some under supports before adding the new subfloor. Then the new flooring was installed with all the trim molding and thresh holds. After they were finished with the drywall and flooring, the repainted the entire unit, walls and trim. In the end they ended up finishing up an old closet that needed some light electrical work and walls sealed up. They did an excellent job on this project as well. Overall, I was very happy with their work. They showed up on time, did the work in the given schedule and did a great job cleaning up after they were done. Five stars!

Very impressed with Steve and 680 Home Repairs…read more Interviewed a number of contractors and Steve and 680 stood out Head and shoulders above the rest, both in terms of quality, price and integrity. I've already signed up to use the services of 680 home repair for kitchen , bathrooms, etc. One of the main things I like about this company is there's not a long chain of command and you are dealing with the same person, likely the owner, who is good with communication , whereas with other companies you're often dealing with a different person every day, not always sure what's going on.

Our job consisted of almost a complete interior repainting as well as taking out old carpet,…read moreputting in flooring as well as carpet so it was a pretty big job. Additionally, heavy furniture had to be moved. Steve was very communicative about setting up appointments and letting us know when he would be coming by. Timeline was a bit of an underestimation but overall we were happy with the job his team did. We had about 3-4 guys coming with typically 2 at a time to do the jobs. The team is very hard working and quite polite and respectful. One big positive is that they take care of getting all the materials themselves. All we did was just look up what we liked online and send it over to Steve and he got them for the team to use/install. Payments were very easy as well. He was able to accommodate us not having checks and Zelle payments were an easy way for us to work around that. He was also very flexible in that the bank only allowed a certain amount to be paid per day so he was patient in receiving the amount. Steve also did a final walk through at the end and we identified some touch ups that needed to be made and people from his team came within a few days to make sure that was all taken care of. At the end of it all, we were very pleased with the outcome and the care put in and would recommend 680 Home Repairs if you're looking for some work done to your home.

And I do mean "horribly textured"--when we bought the house, we joked that the walls in our living room and entryway looked like a lava flow. Ron's team took several days to complete the project. They arrived on time every morning, took great care to protect our floors and furniture, and transformed those large, ugly surfaces into smooth, clean walls that looked like they had always been that way. The quality of their work was excellent, and they clearly took pride in getting the details right. They were professional, careful, personable, and efficient throughout the project, and the finished result exceeded our expectations. And when the job was finished, Ron asked one of his associates to repair small area of the wall in our upstairs bathroom--a detail that wasn't even part of the original contract. That work was also top-notch. Ron and his team far exceeded our expectations. We would hire them again in a second, and we would definitely recommend JR Drywall to anyone looking for high-quality drywall work.

In summary, we had a drainage pipe that was leaking, resulting in damaging the drywall it was behind. Ron, within minutes of entering our home, confirmed our suspicions and quickly got to work, starting with the removal of the severely damaged drywall segments followed by the removal of paint. He doesn't do plumbing, but recommended a plumber that he trusted and partnered with over the years. After the pipe was repaired, Ron proceeded to patch up the wall and prep it for painting. His professionalism throughout this multi-day experience was very positive - he shared his thoughts on what happened and why. I appreciated his candor and friendliness. The price we paid for the work was fair and very competitive, something I greatly appreciated.
