I did a total kitchen remodel and from start to finish, these guys were total clowns. We wanted to use a single vendor for flooring, cabinets and appliances to help ensure coordination with measurements and installation. Complete failure. The job was measured multiple times and yet cabinets had to be remade 3 and 4 times. Appliances were delivered but installation came months later and warranties weren't extended. Fridge and freezer didn't dispense water and service came out 5 times but tried to blame my home's water pressure. Everything was misquoted in terms of lead time, delivery, installation. I spent countless days at home, only for their subs to not show up. Took more than a year to finish. Additionally, their Finance department bills without notice. Every aspect was a hassle to deal with. Would never, ever recommend this shop. Stay as far away as possible. read more

Flooring Place did ALL flooring and tile for our home construction. Mostly we were pleased with their work. However, the wood flooring in our dining and kitchen were installed incorrectly and have been a problem from the outset and Flooring Place "DOES NOT STAND BEHIND" their work and won't fix it, make it right. All Flooring Place does is keep pointing us to the installer "THEY CHOSE" and they refuse to get involved and fix the crappy floor we're stuck with. We've tried to explain to Flooring Place that we hired THEM to do the entire house and to us they are responsible for the crappy install work but they don't take any ownership of the problem, they just keep pushing us at the installer, "who they picked". We never contracted or paid money to the installer, we contracted Flooring Place and paid them. For me it is not acceptable to do a good job on 80% of a job and then mess up and refuse to rectify on the other 20% and then leave the customer hanging like this. I would NOT use Flooring Place again. read more

Go here if you want want to have high blood pressure and a headache. We worked with Stephanie and her follow through and communication were beyond disappointing. On average it would take 4 days to a week for a response, if you got a response. We also ordered cabinets back in April and the hardware for the cabinets in July (and paid more than half up front) only to have the cabinets show up end of August with no hardware. Stephanie never admitted to me she didn't order the hardware on time and just said "sorry for the inconvenience". She does not care. Save your time and money and go somewhere else. read more

Part l We have remodeled five kitchens--two down to the studs, but we're getting old, so figured we'd get help. My husband worked as a designer in architecture firms for forty years, so is familiar with all stages of the process. He brought in dimensions and asked for a bid. Well, the design done by the Place didn't match the given dimensions, and there was literally a 4" gap between cabinets. Husband sits down to his CAD program and does the cabinet and countertop plan, saving us nearly $8,000 in the process. He knew how to position the countertop pieces. Sends it off, says , "Do this." Then we heard nothing. Called, emailed, and like so many other reviews stated, no response. Meanwhile we hear horror stories from neighbors, friends, and even family about the Flooring Place. Finally, a call, cabinets ordered, but person couldn't remember if she ordered the hardware. She got someone named "Adam" to install......maybe next week Wed and it will take him a week and a half. We've installed cabinets---took us two days--not a mansion. He doesn't contact us at all. This afternoon we got a call saying they are delivering cabinets tomorrow morning because who doesn't have room to store top and bottom cabinets for a week. Still wondering if Adam exists. We've done all the demo: granite counters, cabinets, electrical and plumbing changes.....just hoping the cabinets delivered tomorrow are the ones we ordered. They looked nice. If you look me up on yelp, you'll see that up to now I have only given reviews when I was disappointed with the quality of a place. This is my first fan letter. I give Stephanie Edwards from the flooring place the highest review possible. She managed my project. Can I give her TWO fives? I am a designer and therefore have impossibly high expectations and she came through 100% From the very beginning she was completely knowledgeable about everything, and gave great recommendations. She drew up plans for the layout, and followed everything through including tracking the delivery and installation dates. She brought in the installer Avery ( sorry I don't know his last name) who was terrific, professional, asked questions whenever a decision had to be made - and did a beautiful job. Perhaps the worst customer service I have ever experienced, in over 50 years of dealing with contractors and subcontractors. First bid for hardwood was much higher than readily available for the same product from several suppliers; confronted with this, they immediately dropped the price. I should have just gone elsewhere; terrible communications with our sales rep, calls not returned, hard to confirm a schedule. On the day we (finally) had a schedule for installation of carpet, we got a call that said that his crew had to move out of their place (?) by the end of the month, so they were not going to work that day... Scheduled delivery of flooring, got another call with an excuse why they could not deliver as scheduled (install crew was waiting for their delivery), I had to borrow my son's truck, and go pick up a pallet of flooring from their warehouse myself. They charge an extra 3% if you pay by credit card. If you call and ask for someone by name, they insist you give your name and "What is this about?"...then, inevitably, "they are not at their desk", and they send you to voice mail, and you never get a callback...unless, perhaps, you owe them money. There are lots of alternatives; I'd suggest you save a lot of grief, and use one of them. read more

But the coordination of the job which included tile, carpet and vinyl plank, by my sales associate, Cody, presented me with on-going challenges. We contacted them in August about a granite countertop for a bar area. Nearly three months later, and me having to contact the rude sales associate repeatedly, we went to Rock Solid on Tuesday. The owner came out today to measure and it will be installed next week. We've given a lot to the Flooring Place in the past... never again. read more

I was extremely disappointed by what I witnessed when I went in to the showroom yesterday. There were 8 employees sitting or standing around the desk. 1 had a mask half on, and the other 7 were unmasked. Then, when I went to the warehouse, the man in the office there gave me attitude when I asked him to please wear a mask, and it took him awhile to even find a mask to put on. This is a clear violation of public safety, and a breech of Governor Bullock's mask mandate. read more

I live in Bozeman and will never do business with the Flooring Place again. They don't stand behind their product, and I was treated disrespectfully by the store's owner Jon. I purchased linoleum flooring from them, had it installed, and ultimately felt dissatisfied with the flooring. I researched the product myself, followed the manufacturers guidelines for treating the floor, and decided to check in with the Flooring Place for help. I was referred to the owner, told him about my troubles, asked him to come and see the floor, and was met with disdain and a poor attitude. The only remedy Jon offered was to supply a bottle of floor potion which I used, and was not effective. Jon would not come to see the floor or engage in any other solutions to satisfy me as a customer. My husband is a residential/commercial construction project manager, and he felt so strongly about the rude behavior of the owner, he won't consider them for potential projects he is working on. I am not a complainer or difficult person to deal with. Don't be fooled by their recent television ads and claims to ensure customer satisfaction. read more

The Flooring Place is a great option if you don't care about the quality of work. I arrived home to find my bamboo lament flooring installed in the opposite direction from what was discussed and assured would be done. The flooring in the master bedroom was not level. The installer reinstalled the baseboards misaligned, leaving large gaps and overlap. He tried to fix by caulking, but left caulk smeared up the wall, sloppy patches of caulk throughout and areas of inconsistent caulking. This resulted in $700 of outside contracted work to fix their mistakes. After being told to go ahead with repairs, that they'd reimburse me, they then began back peddling when they found out it cost $700. As I tried to get these things compensated for, first with the manager, Annie Nye, then the owner, Jon Moullet, I was treated like I was ridiculous to have expected a better job. There was no communication initiated that the floors would not be able to be installed as expected. Jon Moullet was only willing to reimburse less than half ($300) of the outside contracted work to fix their mistakes, saying I was trying to take advantage of him. That it is ridiculous for me to expect the baseboards to be placed back as they were. He said in 40 years he's never known anyone to care about the direction their floors are laid. Annie made a comment stating it's ridiculous of me to think they'd have the floors completely level throughout. That the installer isn't going to spend time making sure every corner of the rooms are level. I was bullied to pay full price minus $300 with nothing corrected. So as long as you are ok with sloppy work and your expectations not being met, they're your flooring place. read more

I order a Cyclone Exhaust Fan from Don Mark, upon first attempt to install we ran into a Problem that prevented the Hood getting Installed. Don went out of his way he even came to my house to evaluate the Problem, found someone who could rectify as well as supplying the Carpenter who fixed the Cabinet with hand drawn plans as a way to fix the cabinet to allow the new fan to be installed!! My order was a pretty small job in the grand scheme of this but they sure over performed my expectations!!! Go to the Flooring Place and Request Don Mark as your designer!!! read more

This place is a joke they had a add for now hiring Please communicate and fill out an application and resume so i drove the whole way there took my time filled out left it there 2 weeks went by never hear nothing but job is still posted i called to see The status on my application they said they lost it can you please come in and fill out new on so i did and gave them my resume attached to it. Another two weeks goes by i get a phone call from them hey we are interested but we only have your resume can you please come by and fill out an application ? Save the hassle of being treated like a bother when you go into this place. I walked in the south entrance and was "greeted" by a very snotty receptionist, I lost her card but she has a desk inside the door and blonde hair. She didn't say a word to me for over two minutes while I stood there...finally she asked what she could help with. I told her I was looking for samples from a large project they had just completed, gave her the name and address of the properties so that she could easily check. She was so visibly annoyed that it was pitiful, she said " soooo I mean I can try to figure out what you want but I have to go ask" at that point I knew they weren't getting my business but I had her look anyway just because she was so awful at her job. She found the info and I told her we were looking to replace our current flooring and would want it installed. After she found out the size of our home and saw dollar signs she perked up...what a joke. She was horrible, truly a shame. I've heard not good things about this place and tried anyway, never again, we go to Tom's Floor Store where we don't get treated like trash. read more

We ordering flooring for our condo in Bozeman from Jacob at this business. We live out of state and were going to be in town for only a week and wanted to make sure that we could have it installed during the time we were in town. At first I would call or email and Jacob responded immediately. Once the flooring was ordered and we had paid the 50% down, didn't hear from him again. Two weeks before our arrival I asked (email) the status of the order and install date. He responded back that the install was "scheduled for Tuesday and left Wednesday open just in case". I told him that we were arriving over the weekend and would call on Monday to get the details and what we needed to do prior to the install. Called on Monday and guess who was not in the office - Jacob. The people in the office tried to help but were not positive on some of the details. When the installer arrived on Tuesday morning, the first thing he said was that this was a 3-4 day install. (I also checked with another installer in town and he gave the same 3-4 days) We had planned to do some other things while we were in town but we could not leave our dogs at the house while the install was in progress. Needless to say, I was not happy. Boone, the installer was great and We will definitely recommend him to anyone needing flooring. To this date, over 6 weeks since install - which by the way some trim pieces were ordered incorrectly by Jacob and the correct ones just installed in the last week. I have not heard a word out of Jacob checking to see how we liked the floors or, if there was anything else he could help us with. We WERE planning to recarpet the upstairs bedrooms once this floor was complete but, I think we will find another company to get the carpet from. Seems like once he got is money, he was on the something else. The only thing we did receive was the bill on the first of the month. read more

The Flooring Place may claim to be "Your One Stop Shop", but I wouldn't recommend even shopping once. I have been trying since February 7, 2018 to have my kitchen floor fixed or replaced. The installer tried to fix the wood floor by nailing the places where the wood slats met. Unfortunately, this did not help. When Jon and Erica inspected the floor, Erica immediately noticed the problem and asked if she could put baby powder on the floor to fill in the cracks. She did this, but it didn't help. It only left white streaks in the spaces where the wood slats joined. Jon suggested that I purchase a humidifier or boil a pot of water to create moisture in the air. He also said that the problem would resolve in the summer when the humidity is higher. Furthermore, he blamed the contractor for the condo "being built too tight". Jon refused to help, so Erica said she would try talking to him again to get the problem resolved. I have called and left messages and sent e-mails that have been unanswered. Their mission statement reads "Our service doesn't end at the door, but long after the sale" however, my experience has proven the exact opposite. Made eye contact with several associates (one of them twice), not a single "hello" or "be right with ya." Took our business elsewhere. read more
