Once you meet the owner, Zach Willis, you realize this is a man in whom you can place your complete trust. That's a big statement, but when you talk with him, you'll know immediately why I have said it. Yes, he is all of those good things we would want in a service provider: high technical expertise, prompt, efficient, conscientious, does exactly what he commits to doing, knows his business very well, personable, respectful, good communication skills and a pleasure to be around. But here's the big differentiator: he thinks about, is sensitive to and responds instinctively to the unique needs and likely unexpressed stresses and emotional challenges the client is experiencing. This leads him to step forward when he sees an opportunity to assist and support the client and to step back when he senses the client wants to take charge. He seems to have a real understanding of human behavior and can 'read' it very well in order to provide above and beyond service to his clients. This was my fourth time using On The Move here in Bozeman, MT and each and every time I've been impressed! (Which is not always easy, especially in the service industry) The booking process was simple! The crew's positive attitude and hard work ethic also made the move pleasant. Sam, Chris, Gary, and Waylon did an awesome job transferring me from one 15x30 storage unit to another unit across town. They also helped me rearrange some things in my garage to allow for more storage space. They made the move less stressful for sure! Despite it being a long and rainy day - we got everything loaded into the truck, transported and unpacked without any damages or mishaps. In fact, they helped me move some additional items for donation and volunteered to drop them off with no extra charge! I could go on and on, but these guys are TRULY the best! This company is excellent! On time, professional, friendly and overall great to work with. We had a house that was partially moved out of and we needed the rest of our items moved out of a loft storage area and relocated to our storage units. We also needed some items packed for moving and storage. The loft area was only 4' tall and not the greatest space to have to work in. In addition, some items needed to go to climate controlled storage and we had not had time to get them fully separated out. On top of all that, we started coordinating the move with On The Move from four states away. On The Move handled our disorganization, and some unexpected packing and moving complications, with patience and were able to work in the move on short notice. While not as inexpensive as doing it ourselves, worth every penny to have On The Move do the job for us (and they did a heck of a lot better than we ever would have!) THANK YOU, ON THE MOVE!!! This company literally saved the year! We had scheduled & paid for a different company to help us pack & load up a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom condo for my Mom. They never showed up & we were out $500.00. I spent hours calling & emailing every moving business in the Bozeman area. On The Move's owner, Zach, emailed me back & called me within an hour of me emailing him saying that he was so sorry for the other company leaving us hanging - but that they were going to help us! We scheduled them a 7pm for the next day to be at our house at 2pm. & they were there at 2pm sharp! The movers names were both Chris & they were awesome! Zach and his crew loaded my moving van at the end of April 2015 for an interstate move = to 1500 miles. I cannot say enough how well On the Move packed me in my 26' moving van! Not one single thing shifted during transport and when I arrived to my destination, everything was exactly as it was 3 days prior when they loaded it. :) After movers unloaded everything at my new destination, I noticed there was slight damage to my very expensive (and heavy!) dining room table that was a result, I'm sure, of being packed so tight. Regardless, I took a photo and sent to Zach who immediately agreed to take care of the damage. A man of his word, he asked me to send him the estimate however, I had it restored inexpensively so I opted to forego charging it back to On the Move. Yeah, they were THAT good! Over the course of our relationship I've thrown a lot of curve balls at them and they just keep rolling with it with a smile on their face and professionalism the entire way. I have now used these guys for several different moves and I have never been disappointed with their work. They always arrive early and get everything moved really fast while still being careful not to break anything. The difference between On the Move and other movers I've used in the past is that the On the Move team actually takes the time to come up with a plan of how to move your stuff which makes the whole move more efficient and less of a headache. I have moved across the country several times after having On the Move pack my stuff into a UHaul and none of the times has any of my stuff gotten broken. I used On The Move in October and couldn't have been more pleased with their services. It was a large job - they moved the contents of a 7,000 sq ft house (with many large pieces of furniture) into 2 storage units. We moved into a furnished house, so they also had to help move some furniture in and out of the new house as well. Nothing fazed them - they were up to the task! There were a few surprises (we had lots of lumber and elk antlers!), but they handled them with a "no problem" attitude, which I truly appreciated. I hired On the Move a couple weekends ago and was very impressed with this company. Gary and Chris S. were the two guys who were sent to help me. I had a storage unit that needed to be packed into a truck and moved into my new home. The only negative thing was that I, myself, did not allow enough time for everything so instead of being able to have the guys place my items in the house, I had them unload into the garage. Zach, the owner, was super responsive and helpful. I would highly recommend using On the Move! They were efficient and very careful with all my items. We were basically the type of customers that makes Movers cry at night. We only had half the stuff packed away, and no organization at all. Zach and his team were able to walk through the house, and figure out a perfect way to pack our truck that kept it all safe for our big move. These guys were great. They showed up on time and loaded one and a half large storage units packed full, into a single 26 ft rental truck. The load traveled fine and did not shift one my trip to Colorado. The movers that I hired on this end commented on how well the truck was packed. Nothing was broken or even scratched. I wish I had hired these guys before when I moved my house into those storage units, then maybe I wouldn't be having shoulder surgery. At any rate I would defiantly hire them again. read more

Zach and his partner helped me move a massive china cabinet I had found to my studio. They were efficient and very knowledgeable about how best to move the pieces. There would have been no way I could've done it myself, so I am very thankful for their service!
