Just had another two cracked molars removed by Dr. Bhaskar. His skill, professionalism, kindness, and willingness to patiently explain everything is wonderful. I was scared of the pain of getting an I.V. for a few reasons. Dr Bhaskar told me that he would use a 24 gauge needle. He also made a special request to have a pediatric anesthesiologist, Dr. Stephen Long, do the insertion and procedure. Dr. Long called me the night before. He had a very calming and empathetic attitude. He listened to my fears and requests, (and didn't act like I was being foolish) assuring me he would do his best. It went flawlessly. He also put anti-nausea medication in the i.v., and I didn't get sick at all afterwards. Dr. Bhaskar's entire staff are all efficient, really nice and helpful, with a special thanks to Elizabeth who answered my numerous questions. Highly recommend Dr. Bhaskar and his team. read more

What a rip-off. Avoid this spot at all costs. Had a 1 tooth extracted $1895.00 He numbed my mouth so bad i was numbed till the next day till 130pm. Just before he started his procedure he says this is goin to suck for you. Then says 1 min minute i got it. 2 1/2 hrs i was so sweaty they hooked up an air conditioner!. Should i keep goin? I return 2 weeks later and they say your implant goin to be an additional 3100. I was referred by another dr 1 block away he charged me for the ex ray. Then this dr charged again for the same ex ray that wasnt forwarded for the referral so i got charged twice. After walking out they call and say oh the girl is an assistant and doesnt know the pricing. Get the fuk out of here really. What a racket. 1 star for the ripp off unbelievable epic read more

This is a Father/Son business. Older experienced father with son getting the degree plus his father's teaching. Resulting in an unusually good oral surgeon who did an excellent job of extracting all four wisdom teeth, one still being under the gum. No complications. Healing went well. We recommend the Bhaskar's oral surgery for wisdom teeth removal. read more

I had a tooth extracted today and overall the experience went smoothly. The staff is very kind, professional, and made me feel at ease throughout the process. The office is clean and well-organized, and the procedure itself was handled with care. One important note: be sure to double-check your insurance coverage thoroughly before your appointment. While the office does check your insurance benefits, what your insurance says it will cover and what they actually cover can be very different. I ended up paying significantly more out of pocket than expected. I'd recommend Monterey Oral Surgery for their professionalism and care, but go in with a clear understanding of your potential costs to avoid surprises. read more

Very clean facility, thorough care, great bedside manner, on time with all appointments, wisdom tooth procedure and recovery went exactly as described, really liked Dr. Bhaskar (elder) and the whole staff, my teen was quite comfortable there, and I was comfortable with it all. Highly recommend. read more

Dr. Bhaskar is the most wonderful oral surgeon. Period. He's patient, gracious with his time and does a phenomenal job. His office is immaculate and organized. The staff has all been with him for years and love him. Could not be more pleased with both my molar implants. read more

I wouldn't trust anyone else with my teeth. And I'm pretty picky. Dr. Brian Bhaskar was so meticulous and thoughtful throughout the entire process. Everything was explained to me in great detail and the surgery was seamless. I will certainly be back if I have another oral issue later. Thank you Dr. Brian Bhaskar! read more

Wouldn't even consider going anywhere else I have had several extractions and implants done by Dr Bhaskar, and I have always been extremely happy with the results. The staff is always super friendly and professional, and they have gone to great lengths making you comfortable during the pandemic. Finally as an IT person myself I really appreciate their setup for email and appointments. Kudos! read more

Dr. Bhaskar and his staff did a phenomenal job removing all four of my impacted wisdom teeth. I was nervous because I've heard unpleasant stories from friends who've gotten their wisdom teeth taken out but Dr. Bhaskar assured me it would be a painless procedure. My mom drove me to his office so she could take me back safely, the procedure went well, and was indeed painless. Dr. Bhaskar made it very clear what I should and shouldn't eat and he said I should be back to normal in a couple weeks or so. He was right. I didn't experience any swelling which was a relief. Overall this was a very good experience and I highly recommend seeing Dr. Bhaskar if you need to have a similar procedure done. He is not only a great doctor but is also a personal and caring guy. read more

My daughter got her wisdom teeth pulled by Dr.Bhasker. He did a amazing job preparing her and helping after the surgery to make sure everything went well. She followed the rules exactly how they were and she barley had any swelling, no infections, and very mild pain. Definitely recommend him for wisdom teeth removal. read more

Great Surgeon & staff tea!! Honestly I do not remember a thing, but I woke up and felt minimal pain. I did not swell really at all! I was healed within a week, and my overall experience was awesome! Highly recommended!! read more

Dr. Bhaskar was awesome to say the least. My 11 year old son went in for several tooth extractions and was scared so much due to past experiences. Dr. Bhaskar made him fell comfortable and safe threw out the process. There staff is great from the front staff to the back. They always welcome you with a big smile each time. If we would have to do it again without a doubt I would go back to him. read more

Dr. Bhaskar's office is so professional, kind, and accommodating. My daughter needed to have her wisdom teeth removed before she goes to college, and his office fit in a consultation and surgery appointments for her. The office is very organized with COVID precautions, and we always felt safe. The day of the surgery everyone in the office was so helpful and compassionate. I had a family emergency during my daughter's surgery, and Elizabeth (at the front desk) even offered to drive me to the hospital! After her surgery, Dr. Bhaskar continued to check-in on my daughter. Dr. Bhaskar is very good, and he is the only oral surgeon my family will see. I always felt I could call Dr. Bhaskar if I ever had any questions. Wisdom teeth removal is not fun, but my daughter had a smooth recovery. I've been to so many doctor's offices in the area, and Monterey Oral Surgery is by far the best experience! read more

Everyone at this office is amazing, especially Dr. Bhaskar! My 6 year old daughter had an abscessed tooth and the infection was spreading rapidly. The dentist had given antibiotics but they weren't working. Urgent care and the ER had turned us away saying it was a 'dental issue'...she was getting worse and had developed a fever and no one would help us!! Until we got in touch with Dr. Bhaskar. He saw the seriousness of the situation and saw us ASAP. He and his staff worked hard to get the referrals needed to get my daughter admitted to the ER. Dr. Bhaskar performed the surgery to remove 2 teeth at the hospital and then followed up for the 3 days we were at the hospital after. He is kind, caring and I cannot recommend him highly enough! He was great with my daughter making her comfortable and fought for her to get her the help she needed. read more

I had a tooth pulled and my children had their wisdom teeth pulled by Dr. Bhaskar and his staff. Felt very at ease with him and highly recommend his office to any parents or adults that need surgery to remove teeth. read more

Monterey Oral Surgery - Oral Surgeons Near Me - Monterey, California

Having had the privilege of assisting a dental group, traveling to third world countries, I have been able to witness degrees of talent. When I needed a complex solution to a fractured tooth with an implant, Dr Bhaskar was skilled and talented beyond my hopes. There were several options to address the issue, which included the added complication of an impacted tooth. He first took the time and thorough evaluation to decide the best procedure. I can't praise him enough for his extremely thoughtful approach, and his judicious care. He was able to remove the fractured tooth without disturbing the existing bridge. He is extremely skilled and kind. His office staff works like a symphony. read more

Professional, capable and compassionate. My son needed to have his wisdom teeth removed and we were referred to Dr. Bhaskar by his orthodontist. During the consultation he took the time to explain what our options were and then went over the basics of the procedure and recovery. The day of the surgery everyone in the office was nice and helpful and we appreciated the check-up call later that day from the office and the day after the doctor called. Oral surgery is not exactly fun, but they helped us make the best of it. read more

Just went back for a post implant check and the new office is sooo awesome!!! Staff is still terrific as always and Dr Bhaskar is so personable and professional. I wouldn't hesitate to give his office a call if you need the best dental care in town! read more

Dr. Bhaskar is the kind of doctor you want to refer to anyone who will listen! He is smart, kind and a great surgeon with impeccable bedside manner. Felt like I was in safe and capable hands from consultation all the way through surgery. Simply put, he's the best around! read more

Dr Bhaskar is an excellent Oral Surgeon in the Monterey area. He's removed my wisdom teeth plus a tricky surgical removal + xenograft, and I was very happy with the results both times. Elizabeth at the front desk is professional, welcoming and all around awesome. I also really enjoyed working with his assistant Jackie, who is sharp and fun to chat with. What I really like about going to Dr Bhaskar is that he empowers you with choices about your own care. Everyone is different, and how they handle procedures is different, therefore you get to choose what level of sedation (if any) you are comfortable with. To me, this is a very big deal and not all offices are this accommodating. I'd return to this office for any oral surgery need I had and would recommend them to friends and family alike. We're lucky to have such a quality office in Monterey. read more

Had to have an emergency procedure. Last thing you want to hear especially during COVID. Rest assured. This office has you covered. Their procedures were top notch. From the cleanliness, screenings and protective devices, everything was in order. The provider was personable, experienced and responsive. He is excellent and the office staff supports him with a high level of competence and customer service. If you need oral surgery, you can confidently choose this practice. I highly recommend without reservation. read more

This is the most unprofessional office ever. Three times on three separate appointments they canceled me and rescheduled months apart. All three times less than 24 hours notice and I lost three days wages because of their incompetence. The last appointment I showed up to but unfortunately got called in to work two hours earlier than expected. When I asked if they could see me earlier, the reply was "your being rude and I'll need to confirm with the doctor". Then in received a letter stating, and I quote, " we do not share a mutual understanding with you" and gave me 30 days to find a new dentist, which I gladly found that day. read more

Having any type of procedure performed in or around your mouth can really be a drag. But my experience with Dr. Bhaskar and his crew was easily my best experience with oral care. He takes the time to explain any potential procedure, and truly cares about each patient. Myself, along with multiple family members have used Dr. Bhaskar for several different types of procedures and we wouldn't dare go anywhere else! He is easily the best on the peninsula and would highly recommend Dr. B and his staff for any oral surgery needs/questions. read more

I accompanied my grandma here. We had an appointment time either last week or two weeks ago. When we came into the office the waiting room was empty beside some walk-in patients for a consultation. They were seen immediately and we waited a good 50 mins in the empty waiting room. I saw one patient or assistant leave from the back room. There are probably a lot of things going on behind the front waiting area but seeing as how SLOW it was I cannot understand why we waited that long. I'm sure the doctors are fine, and everyone was nice, but sitting in a waiting room for a long time with no obvious reason makes for a frustrating experience. What's the point of setting an appointment time if it just to make us to hurry up and wait? I don't think they deserve a bad yelp rating for it but I'm hoping they see this review and think of ways to efficiently schedule appointments and see patients. read more

I've been seeing Dr. Bhaskar for almost ten years. I was born with a wacky set of teeth and he's performed a number of surgeries on me. I really do not have enough nice things to say about his practice! My best friend and I had our wisdom teeth done on the same day because Dr. Bhaskar is incredibly efficient! However, he's also very great at his job. Every one of my surgeries I have known I'm in the best possible care and have had a healthy recovery. He frequently calls to check in on patients afterwards which I appreciate. As someone with huge anxiety around needles and blood, he's very calm and attentive. Dr. Bhaskar's receptionists, nurses, and the whole staff is amazing. They all remember your name and things about your life and they provide excellent care before and after seeing the doctor. Everyone is friendly and kind. The practice is spacious and they have movies and coffee. They offer excellent prices for procedures and are accommodating to each patient's financial background. They also provide excellent recommendations for products and referrals to regular dentists. X-rays are quick and easy in their office. I don't dread coming to see Dr. Bhaskar which is the highest praise I can give a surgeon! I am very lucky he's my doctor. read more

It has been about 4 months since my procedure and I actually miss my weekly follow up appointments. Dr. Bhaskar and his staff are truly incredibly. He is knowledgeable and honest. Having all of my wisdom teeth extracted early in adult life had its potential issues, all of which he informed me of, still I was calm because he is someone you can trust. The procedure went very well, I had zero pain or fear that day. The after procedure care is unparalleled, I received a call a few hours after my surgery followed by regular office visits, once even on a Sunday, to check on the progress and comfort of the healing process. Dr. Bhaskar is extremely compassionate with a calming demeanor. Elizabeth in the front office radiates kindness. I cannot thank them and all the staff enough. I truly appreciate their work, I would recommend them to everyone, and when I have children of my own I will be bringing them to Dr.Bhaskar. read more

I had my tooth extraction earlier today and am quite comfortable. The office staff phoned me several times before the procedure and all my questions were answered. I was a bit apprehensive as my dentist had said it would be a difficult tooth. Dr. Bhaskar was very patient and I was comfortable the whole time. He made it very easy. I appreciate the office flexibility and information about the procedure. Excellent discharge and instructions. I would highly recommend this office. read more

Doctor Bhaskar was by far the best doctor I have ever had before. He was the kindest and coolest doctor to have. I had all 4 wisdom teeth removed and the entire staff made me feel very comfortable and at ease throughout this entire process. Not only did I have all 4 wisdom teeth out, but my face did not become swollen whatsoever. Everyone else I know who has had their wisdom teeth removed were swollen for 1-2 weeks after surgery and I want to acknowledge that I did not have any swelling! Elizabeth at the front desk accommodated all my appointments and a special thank you to Jackie for helping me with everything and another blonde assistant (I forgot her name) who held my hand (literally!) during the entire pre-op and post-op. Thank you all so very much. I will recommend every one I know to Doctor Bhaskar!! Much love, Sofia read more

I know it's hard to believe but indeed had a pleasant experience at Dr. Bhaskar office. I removed 2 wisdom teeth and 2 permanent teeth for my braces. The staff was friendly and so was he. I was in and out in maybe an hour tops. read more

Love Love Dr Bhaskar and staff. Both of my children had their wisdom teeth out by Dr. Bhaskar and we had a wonderful experience.

Recently went in so my fiancé could have a tooth extracted. When Dr. Bhaskar came in to ask what was wrong, it seemed like he already had his own agenda regardless of what she told him. The was evident while she was in the operating chair, his back was turned towards her 80% of the time while he watched the HGTV channel that was on during part of the conversation. Seemed he was more interested in remodeling his house than her mouth! Not very professional. The work done was great, the staff was very friendly and followed up properly, but his consultation and compassion or concern for the patient was not quite there. read more

I have only the highest respect for Dr. Bhaskar and his amazing staff. They have taken care of my family (multiple generations, my 89 year old mom, husband, and 15 year old son!) with kindness, understanding of fears and discomfort, the highest standards of professionalism and success. It's very reassuring to know that, while oral surgery is and can be a terrifying prospect for some --like me-- that Dr. Bhaskar's reputation is well deserved. And as great as Dr. Bhaskar is, his highly trained and friendly staff reflects his high standards. In particular, I would like to give a 'shout-out' to Elizabeth, Brenda, Lupe, Heidi and Justine; from the minute you walk through the doors, you are aware that you and your best interests are being taken care of. I can't say that I am ready for another visit, but am assured that when I DO have to return, it will be with the assurance that I will be in caring and professional hands. read more

I recently saw Dr. Bhaskar to have an abcessed tooth removed. The Doctor is gentle, kind, compassionate and caring of his patients in every way. I did not have any complications from the procedure because he put me on antibiotics several days before the procedure and the aftercare was excellent. I saw another oral surgeon on the Monterey Peninsula several years ago to remove wisdom teeth and I can say he was a butcher. I recommend Dr. Bhaskar highly! read more

I have called to confirm my appointment and the receptionist was giving me attitude the whole time. Unfriendly staff.

We just returned from a one week followup visit for my daughter following removal of 4 wisdom teeth. Dr. Bhaskar and his staff are extremely friendly, relaxed, informative and proficient. His knowledge of the procedure and ability to explain it are excellent. He provides much information about the procedure, risks, complications and aftercare both through an informative video and personal discussion. He is adept at discussing possible considerations for the individual patient, in my daughter's case having a small mouth. The extractions went very smoothly and the recovery was far shorter than expected with back to old self in 3 days. Dr. Bhaskar's professionalism was especially appreciated since this dental visit followed quite an opposite experience with an area orthodontist. Thank you Dr. Bhaskar and your staff. read more

This office deserves 5 Stars! Nice and very professional staff. Easy to make appointments and very accommodating. Dr. Bhaskar is absolutely FANTASTIC! He is very knowledgeable. He greets you with a big smile! He was very patient and went through my X-ray Images and explained the options. I was really nervous as I was getting all 4 of my wisdom teeth pulled out. It was such a pleasant and a pain free experience. Dr. Bhaskar made sure I was comfortable and called next day to make sure I was okay. He is very considerate and caring. I would highly recommend Dr. Bhaskar. I also found out that Dr. Bhaskar provides quality treatments in third world countries. Not only is he an excellent doctor but he is also an amazing human being with a heart of gold. I also liked BRENDA who works in the same office. She is extremely helpful and professional. I had my procedure done more than a year ago, but I can never thank Dr. Bhaskar enough. read more
