I am still in the healing phase of the procedure, but my experience proved nothing to be concerned about. The ladies in both the office and those who assisted Dr. Lloyd were approachable, knowledgeable, and helpful. They took the time to review anything I had questions about in person and via the phone. I was forewarned that getting the insurance estimate would take some time. I watched the process online and know it was my insurance company that took so long. The text communications about appointments and the videos on what to expect were very useful. They prepped me well for the day of the procedure. I showed up relaxed (special thanks to the Valium) and before I knew it, I was in recovery. So far, everything is going smoothly, and I am healing well. Well, I unfortunately "landed" at Dr. Silva's office again for a tooth extraction, because another…read moreless experienced dentist fractured my tooth and could not complete the extraction. Let me emphasize that Dr. Silva is not only a dentist (DDS), but also a physician/surgeon, who attended medical school and completed a surgical residency (oral/maxillofacial) after attending dental school. As such, he not only works on complex dental issues (sometimes due to the failure of other, less trained dentists), but he also performs surgery on the jaw, sinuses and facial bones. What I'm getting at is this guy is expert at repairing most things above the neck. My "adventure" started with expertly-placed local anesthesia (think Novocaine) so that I felt absolutely no pain whatsoever and yet I was still able to feel most of my face, lips, etc. After about 1 hour of cutting, scraping, prying and suturing, the job was done. Post-op pain and swelling were minimal and almost completely resolved within 48 hours. Thank you Dr. Silva! Dr. Silvia's "supporting cast" is just as professional and competent as he is. They are all very sweet and nice as well and made my visit as non-traumatic as possible. He was riding his bike to school to clean out his lab before the Thanksgiving break when he was struck by a car (hit and run!). In addition to some scrapes and bruises, three of his front teeth were broken. Our son did not want to walk around with broken front teeth so he called Dr. Carl's office right away to see if he could get in ASAP. It was 2 days before Thanksgiving and Dr. Carl was leaving early for the holiday. Dr. Carl's office said if he could get to the office before 2pm, he could work on him. Our son did his best to get there on time, but he ended up arriving at 3PM. Dr. Carl waited until he got there and fixed his teeth that day! We were so grateful.

Getting through to the front desk was a bit difficult, but not impossible. Parking is easy. The office is clean and has a Keurig machine and magazines in the waiting area. Wait time was not too long. After the initial visit and exam, I scheduled my cleaning and a chat with the doctor about plans to move forward. It will be an additional visit to complete work, though Dr. Lehr did ask if this would work for my schedule. Overall it seems like a great office, though I am still a bit leery after my husband's insurance issue.
