If you had told me a few years ago that I'd one day, be emotionally attached to my dentist and her…read moreoffice staff, I would have laughed out loud with my half-hidden smile and changed the subject. Then I met Dr. Chao and her incredible team at Pleasanton Prosthodontics. What started as fear, embarrassment, and years of avoiding mirrors somehow turned into one of the most life-changing experiences I've ever had. And trust me, nobody puts "dental implants" on their bucket list expecting a spiritual rebirth and the sudden urge to smile in every photo like they're running for office. Dr. Maggie is one of those rare doctors who combines absolute perfectionism in her work with genuine compassion for people. She never made me feel rushed, judged, or like "just another patient". She honestly cares. And she is so amazingly sweet. She always took the time and explained everything, calmed every fear, and somehow made a very intimidating process feel manageable. She answered all questions kindly, and in plain English, so you could understand. Honestly Dr. Maggie has the patience of a saint and the precision of a neurosurgeon working on a brain. And her staff? They are absolute angels from above. Every single person that worked on me over the years is kind and warm, and supportive especially when I was feeling extra vulnerable, or embarrassed. They never made me feel like I was judged or less than. Some of the girls have quite the sense of humor, and would make me laugh, when their fingers were down my throat, (figuratively) which made it even funnier. I could go in there all depressed, and one of their stomachs would rumble with hunger, and we'd all start cracking up, and I'd end up leaving with smile on my face, even before it was pretty. They cared about me, remembered me, and supported me throughout the whole long process. But here is the real truth; they didn't just fix my teeth. THEY GAVE ME MY SMILE BACK! AND MY SELF ESTEEM! Now I smile without thinking about it. I am no longer the person slinking around the back of the group, not wanting my picture taken. Now, I am happy to be right up front, grinning as wide as I can for the photo. That kind of confidence restoration is hard to explain unless you've lived without it for a long time. My journey began in 2015 when I fell down some stairs and broke my front tooth. You don't realize how self-conscious you become, not wanting to talk to strangers because of the gaping hole in your smile. I think I was the only person in the world who was HAPPY to wear a mask when COVID hit. It was truly awful, and even though it took a long time for the whole process, it was soooooo worth the wait. If you are scared, embarrassed, overwhelmed, or putting this off because you think things are "too far gone;" please don't give up. Dr. Chao and her team are proof that kindness and extraordinary skill still exist in this world. They will help you get your smile back, too! Like they did for me! 10 stars isn't enough. I'd like to leave them a whole parade if Yelp allowed it. GOLD stars, disco lights, and a full advertisement billboard on the Vegas strip, and it still wouldn't be enough to express my satisfaction and gratitude to Pleasanton Prosthodontics. HIP, HIP HOORAY TO DR MAGGIE AND HER TEAM! Thank you all so much for taking such good care of me, God Bless you all!!! Sincerely, Leah Wyeth (Modesto)

The quality of work Dr. Fishman provides is stellar, and she falls into the "artist" category when you see the final results. I appreciate how she explained what was going on step by step, and I enjoyed seeing her face light up when she saw the results she was trying to realize during the creation phase. You can tell that she loves what she does. The biggest compliment I can give is that my mother's appearance is the same as when she had teeth. This is not the case with many practices that just churn out a product without care. Dr. Fishman took the time to talk to us, understand what we wanted, and then deliver on it. To be quite honest she exceeded our expectations. She is a wonderful and kind Doctor. However, a Doctor is only as good as their staff, and I can say that everyone there is the best at what they do. Krystal who manages the front of the house is always friendly and helpful. She stayed in contact with us and set clear expectations. I love that she texted instead of calling and leaving a voicemail that would require a callback. It kept things moving along quickly and on target. She also has a great personality and we enjoyed getting to know her. The same can be said of Courtney who assists Dr. Fishman. She is attentive and caring. Courtney went out of her way to make us feel valued and cared for. Her bedside manner is impeccable, and it warmed my heart to see her care for my mother. She even remembered the quirks we all have, and had Mom relaxed and ready to go without us even having to ask. She too goes above and beyond your expectations. To sum things up, I am almost saddened that we won't be able to interact with the office anymore because the work is done, Mom is happy, and she is flashing her pearly whites to the world again. I can't think of a higher endorsement and this practice deserves the praise.

I'm a patient of Dr. Levine. About 10 years ago, another dentist repaired one of my teeth, but…read morewithin two years the tooth started developing a cavity that kept getting worse. During that time, I saw several other dentists. One dentist eventually decided to extract the tooth because it was causing pain. After the extraction, I looked at the tooth and saw that aside from a small brown cavity, the tooth -- especially the root -- still looked healthy. I deeply regretted having it removed because it probably could have been saved with a root canal and continued to last for many years. Because of that experience, when another dentist later recommended extracting two more teeth, I decided to seek a second opinion. I didn't want to lose more teeth unnecessarily. My husband found Levine Family Dental online. After carefully examining my teeth, Dr. Levine made recommendations that I truly believe were the right ones. I still clearly remember him saying: 'Don't rush to pull teeth. Modern dentistry has many advanced ways to restore teeth -- implants, bridges, and more -- but your natural teeth belong to you, and if they can be saved, I will help you save them.' Hearing that made me incredibly happy and relieved. Throughout my treatment, Dr. Levine was extremely careful, thorough, and professional. His treatment plans and dental work restored my teeth and relieved my pain. I can now enjoy eating again without discomfort or worrying about sensitive teeth. I'm very grateful to Dr. Levine -- not only for his dental skill and clinical experience, but also for his integrity and compassionate attitude toward patients. He is a dentist I truly trust. I highly recommend that anyone facing difficult dental decisions seek Dr. Levine's opinion before agreeing to extractions. Preserving your natural teeth whenever possible is so important

My husband and I have continued with the Levines ever since. What keeps me coming here even though I now live 100 miles away is the fact that Dr. Levine is what I want in a dentist. He is precise in his work and is technically outstanding. He makes you feel comfortable, it's easy to ask questions, and he communicates well so that I can understand. He is respectful and has extensive training and knowledge. He continues to improve the practice by staying current on all dentistry practices. He now makes his own crowns in the office so no need for a temporary. He is able to make adjustments to this crown in-house if necessary to prevent an additional trip into the office. Dr. Levine showed me how the crown is customized and it is pretty amazing! And most importantly, Dr. Levine is gentle and will warn you in advance if you will be feeling anything. The hygienist I see is Darlene and she is accommodating and works hard to keep your pearly whites in excellent condition. I have gone through a few other hygienists here but she has worked out the best for me. She is warm, friendly and I always feel like my teeth are incredibly clean as I leave the office. I love getting my teeth cleaned by Darlene as I feel like I'm getting a reset and clean slate for the next six months. The front desk is responsive and kind too. Everyone here helps to ensure you receive compassionate care and you feel welcomed and at ease. I had some dental work done during this last appointment where I was given a heads up that I needed to be in the office for two hours. During this time I could hear the office staff speak in warm and friendly tones to each other so the atmosphere is calm and professional at all times. You can tell they respect each other and enjoy working together. The practice has also gone through some beautiful transformations since the Levines took over. The interior is aesthetically pleasing with beautiful artwork, furniture, and modern equipment. I recommend Dr. Levine wholeheartedly.
