Extremely disappointed tonight. I've been coming to the old location for a couple years and was excited to try the new location. There wasn't a lot of tables so we figured it would be quick.... not..... first off no liquor permit.... might me a good idea to let people know before they show up. I'm told they are waiting for it. In the past I've always ordered something that's not on the menu and it's never been a problem. It is now. The veal parmigiana had tasted like it was made at lunchtime and warmed up. Not very good. Our meal was topped off by a homeless guy coming in .... ordered.... left his two bags of cans in the middle of the restaurant and waited outside I'm guessing till his order was ready. Excellent Italian food. You can tell a lot of love goes into chef Manny's dishes. A little on the pricey side but definitely worth the coin. New location looks great especially if you saw the place(old Main st Chinese) before the renovation. I ordered something different every time we ate there and loved it all. As always, the food is excellent, but the move to Webster makes it difficult for take-out as there is no parking like in Thompson. The on-street parking has been full both times, meaning you need a 2nd person with you for pickup. Used to hit MB 3-4 times a month the last year but will probably do less until some real parking is available. read more

I was really disappointed. The nicest thing about this place was the font on their menu. The girl who answered the phone actually swore twice while taking my order, which was just weird and classless. But I was willing to overlook it because the place was clean, she was friendly enough when I came in to get the food, and the owner/chef really seemed great. The lasagne though....it was a huge letdown. Incredibly greasy, and not great flavor or even good texture...almost slimy. In the end my dish was FULL of oil and I had to stop trying to enjoy it because I could see it was just grease. The meatballs I also got to go with it were, no exaggeration, inedible. The same kind of mush taste and texture as canned spaghetti-o's. I was so surprised and bummed out!! The best part of the meal was two thin pieces of probably not even made there Italian bread (with no butter) and a weird dessert cake like thing that was tossed in with the bread which was tiny but yummy. I wish I knew what the heck it was or if it was even included on purpose. I would have eaten here weekly if the food was better, I don't care about how sketchy the hostess/waitstaff is if the food is good. I'll try again if they are still in business next year. Maybe it's just growing pains. Giving three stars instead of the one my meal/experience deserved just to be nice, I want things to go well for the owner. Maybe he needs to reassess his talents and/or get an honest opinion from some other chefs. read more

I grew up in Everett Ma. Five minutes away from the north end of Boston. Also known as little Italy. Italian food is by far my favorite and I missed the food from that area. I spent 14 years in Marlboro now I'm in Dudley. I have had a terrible time finding half good Italian food. Tried them all from Marlborough to Dudley . I don't recommend any of them. Then Monte Bianco opened and I have to say that this is the most authentic Italian food I have had since moving from Everett over twenty years ago. After a few visits (which were still 4 to 5 stars) since my first review, I hate to do it, but I got to give this last visit 3 stars. They do have the Covid protocols in place, which is, in today's world, the make or break first impression to me. We stopped in about 4:30 and we were the only ones here. They have a sign on the door that said it was reservations only, but we were allowed in and seated. A bread basket was brought to the table. NOTE: Half of the seating was removed, and more than enough space, so no need to worry. We ordered Parmesans, eggplant for me and veal for the wife. When it arrived, it was slightly warm, and to me it should of been warmer. We ordered linguine with them, and the portions were reduced from other visits. Not complaining about it, but it's a good thing. My pet peeve with Italian places is the ridiculous amount of pasta given. Pasta is cheap and there's no need to load up a plate with it to justify a high price. We have gone to places where the amount on one plate could almost feed 3 people. My wife's veal was on the small side, versus other places we go. We decided to have dessert, a tiramisu and a cannoli. Again the quality seemed off. Another issue which to me reflects on the place was the men's room. The toilet seat would not stay up, and required to be held up when doing a #1. A new $25-$30 seat would go a long way. It looks like they are going to be relocating to Main Street in Webster Mass. I hope these slip ups get corrected, because they have been really good, and would hate to see them close up. read more

I really wanted to love this place because I live right down the road and I'm a sucker for Italian food. I have given this place 3 try's, and unfortunately each time just felt worse. I ordered the ravioli. Quite literally tasted like canned chef boyardee. Not appetizing in the slightest. Especially for being around $15 dollars. It was just so watered down. We recently ordered the family style dinner for 12, take out. It was excellent. We had the chicken parm, and lemon picatta. It also came with salad, and we chose roasted veggies and penne pasta. Oh, and dessert! We had the bread pudding and cheesecake, out of this world. They had the dinner ready when promised and it was packaged really well so it stayed hot during the ride home. This is an excellent spot to grab takeout during the COVID summer months the customer service is great! All staff is friendly and practice social distancing and covid precautions I got it once and it was fantastic so I went back a week later and got it again! Chicken parm is fantastic the sauce is extremely flavorful! However I do wish there was more pasta but they make up for it by giving large pieces of chicken. Then a week later I had the Shrimp and Scallop pasta dish once again a little more pasta could be added but there was a satisfying amount of fish. I will be back soon! read more

We recently moved from central MA to Webster and we have been searching for decent places to eat nearby. We visited Monte Bianco tonight for dinner. Bottom line is that the food was just ok. Really sort of bland. We did really like the fact that it's run by what seems to be a great family. Apparently "Dad" is the cook and numerous family members, cousins, etc. serve, prep, host, etc. everyone was extremely nice. We ordered a salad which was clearly made to order and made with fresh local ingredients. We also received an interesting bread basket with home made Zucchini bread and complementary bruschetta. We will go back for sure, if nothering else, to support this local family owned restaurant. Maybe the next time our entire choices will be better. Oh, and BYOB. read more

We try to support local business and monthly take a group of approximately 20 out to dinner. After emailing the restaurant there was no reply for over a month. Went there three times, 1st time when in Thompson Ct service was great and family oriented but food was not good. They moved to Webster so I gave a 2nd shot hours said they opened at 12 waited 5 minutes in cold and did not open. Tried one more time today, walked in sat at bar waitress told me to move because take out orders needed the space so I did and ordered a glass of wine and then she disappeared for at least 5 minutes, I walked out. Small local place you might not notice driving by. Used to be a pizza joint that was never busy. Well now, the parking lot is almost always full when I go by. Its a small space with usually only 1 waitress, so don't go if you are in a rush, but its a great place to go to have AUTHENTIC food, relax, and BYOB! I went with my wife for valentines day , she called very last minute to see if we could get in. All of the reservations were full, but the waitress Crystal managed to get us in. She had a full restaurant, working solo, and managed to be incredible personable and attentive. I had chicken marsala, and it was incredible. Came with fresh vegetable medley as well as mashed potato. Probably the best I have ever had. Between BYOB, being local, excellent food, and great service, I will be going back. read more

What a find!! Manny did an outstanding job catering my niece's Marianapolis Prep Grad party last Sunday afternoon. He made it so very easy and fantastically delicious! And best of all the price was so reasonable with plenty leftover to enjoy the entire week. The menu included Rigatoni Bolognese, Eggplant Parmesan (which was the big hit with the guests), Chicken Francese (sautéed chicken in a white wine lemon sauce), a Monte Bianco Salad and their Zucchini Bread - all outrageously good! We were in the area and stopped in. The place is very basic, not at all impressive. Looks more like a local pizza shop. The service was slow, very slow. We ordered a salad with our meal we waited a good 30 - 40 minutes and had to ask the waitress for it. Not sure if she forgot or thought it would be a side dish. We had ordered a Caesar salad but it had creamy Italian dressing. That was sent back. The bread basked never came but other tables had the bread baskets as soon as the customers were seated. ! We had to ask her for that as well. The meal itself was good but the service leaves a lot to be desired. This is definitely not a place where we will return to. We understand that most places are understaffed but observing how the other waitresses were taking care of their customers we just happened to get one who didn't have the customer service mentality. read more

The menu has many great selections and the bruschetta is topped with very fresh vegetables. Monte Bianco brings a whole new light to the Quiet corner in Thompson. Manny (the owner) truly turned this place from what was once a pizza place to now a sit down elegant restaurant. The atmosphere is calming, yet filled with laughter of friends and families together. They always start off the meal with homemade zucchini bread and normal Italian bread which is to DIE for delicious! I highly recommend the chicken parm. This is one hefty portion size, and the flavor is great too. I've read comments saying that the portion sizes are small, but as someone who loves to eat a lot, I left here very full, also knowing my food was made with high quality FRESH ingredients! This was one of the best restaurant meals I have had in a VERY long time. I got one of their daily specials which was chicken and shrimp portobello in a white wine sauce with penne and asparagus. It was absolutely delicious. My dining companion ordered the veal parmesan with penne and he was extremely happy with his meal as well. Both the presentation and taste were top notch. We both cannot wait to go back! The service was very friendly and attentive and the food was moderately priced. What a great find!! We were lucky and got a table without a reservation. Had we arrived even a half hour later we probably would not have gotten a table. Call for a reservation if you're thinking about going just in case. They do catering too!
