What an awesome mall! I love the openness and music you can actually hear. It is very clean and has lot to offer. This definitely isn't a higher end mall- although they do have a Nordstrom. It's more economical. It would be 5 stars but I really think they can step up their Resturant game! They only have quick serve places in the 'marketplace'. I know there is a new Canyon- concert venue places going in by the old food court where the sky light is. This place is said to have "The Edge" Resturant going in and the food looks delicious! The mall also has free WiFi- I think the developer of this mall is doing a fabulous job and it's only going to keep getting better! read more

This mall has changed alot. I remember when i lived in Claremont back in the days. We come to Claremont mall and it was really small place. I was here recently and the place was rebuilt. Maceys is gone, Zells and Spencers are still here. A bunch of places were gone. Barnes And Nobles the big book store here. Plenty of parking upstairs and down stairs. Its always fun to visit here tho when i am in the area. read more

The Montclair place ( formerly known as the Montclair plaza) was once the place to go shop around, meet up with friends, or just relax at. Due to years of slow decay, refusal to update, and an expectation of customer loyalty this mall had become a dying mall. Roughly 2 years ago there was small updates. Fixing cracked tile, changing out lights, painting pillers. The mall started to feel a bit fresh. Then there they took out the big guns and started demolition of an unused area to bring in a movie theater, start the plans on a new kid center, and expand forever 21. Though this mall still has an alarming small amount of bathrooms and has a large amount of stores that are closed you can feel the change coming. If you stand still long enough the world will pass you by So this is Montclair place running to catch up with the world. I feel like the will catch up and stay at pace. read more

One of those independent malls that you see in California. I must say I like it here a lot. I came here back when I was a senior in HS and really liked it. It's the perfect size for the shopping that doesn't want the drama of very large malls in other parts of SoCal and likes more time to explore stores. This mall gives you more Ma and Pa stores than other malls in the state. For the chain stores, they have stores that you no longer see in your typical NorCal mall. For all the foodies out there, there is a really dope selection of foods around the world. Back when I was here I got some great mexican food and a horchata. Never once would I see something like this again. I wish the quality was like this in NorCal. Apparently for me I don't really care for the stores that much but the public transit availability. If you look around they have bus connections to Foothill Transit in the 626, OmniTrans and Riverside TA in the 909, direct connection to these three agencies. read more

BEWARE OF CATALYTIC CONVERTER THEFT My firends and I went to have a holiday celebration dinner at Lazy Dog tonight (12/7). We parked the Sequoia under a light in the parking lot. Came out after dinner and found one of the Catalytic Converters had been cut from the truck while we were eating, Beware. They had to be watching and waiting. 3.5 stars. Time for an update! I've always come here quite a bit throughout the years. Despite the remodeling, this mall's a couple steps away from almost being on its last leg, but it's hanging in there. The new food court is OK and now in the middle of the mall on the 2nd floor. The great, new place is Olio's Mexican food and some new others (Noodle World, Jr. with its smoothie place, and this poke place). Panda Express is the only same place they brought over from the old food court. It looks like there are spaces to have 2 more eateries, but who knows when those will be added. Nordstrom is my favorite department store, but they have the most pitiful Nordstrom I've ever seen. It's the smallest location with zero selection. When you compare it to the much newer Nordstroms in the L.A. area, this one should almost just close up. The f.y.e store used to be much better because I like browsing the DVDs and they had a pretty big selection, but now it just sells mostly junkie trinkets, t-shirts, etc. If it wasn't for the Sephora and a pretty good Barnes & Noble, which I like to sit in with some magazines, I probably wouldn't come here much. It seemed like they were going to do some HUGE renovations, but they seem to be at a standstill since the food court was changed. With a new apartment complex across the street, this mall probably won't close anytime soon. But there aren't many people at all no matter what day of the week it is. read more

This mall has come a long way. Its undergoing a complete renovation and even adding an AMC theater to the side that sat empty after Robinson's May went out of business over a decade ago. There's an excellent food court with healthier options like poke. No more yucky burger king! I'm happy to say goodbye to the plaza and hello to The Place! read more

Fantastic indoor mall -- Montclair place has been around for *many* years, and over the course, traffic has died down, but this has happened with all malls; thanks to Amazon etc. The good thing is Montclair Place is taking action and has invested hundreds and thousands in the mall as of recent, including new logo (modern) as well as centering the food court. Food court is 100% new, with a bunch of new restaurants to choose from. Nice glass pane elevator, two-story mall, and many stores are remodeling as well. Another neat thing about this mall is that there is Amazon lockers and plenty of parking! They redid their second-floor parking too, less congested with wider paths for those who struggle to reverse into skinny paths :) read more

Wow...what happened? Last time I stepped foot into this mall was around 2009-2011. Has it always been this deserted? I don't remember it being like this. This mall is spacious and it looks pretty updated but the store selections, especially the women's clothing category is just terrible!!!!! Yes, they have your usual Victoria's Secret, Express, Forever 21, Windsor and Papaya but that's basically it. But some stores like CLO or CS (don't exactly remember the name but it stars with a 'C') sold items you would find at Santee Alley. Nothing but plain solid color tees, tanks and leggings. Ummm...what? There's also a Bath and Body Works too. Maybe I'm used to malls like Santa Anita, Montebello and Brea where there's a wide selection of women's clothing stores to browse through. I wouldn't call this place "ghetto" but it's underwhelming, if anything. Honestly, for a few more miles....just head to Ontario Mills or Victoria Gardens. read more

Descent mall, but not worth going out of your way for. While it is clean and not as full as other malls in the area, they just don't really have any stores I like, H&M would be the highlight. Tons of easy parking, the mall is huge, you can easily spend a few hours here. Good to kill some time on a rainy day, but not worth rushing back to. read more

This mall isn't as big or fancy as a lot of the other malls I've been to, such as the Brea Mall, but it's still has all the big name stores like JCPenny, Gamestop, See's Candies, Macy's, etc. There isn't a whole lot to see or do, but if you have an afternoon off and have nowhere else to go, the mall is as a good a place as any. Oh, and the food court has some decent offerings, as well. Unless, you're trying to eat healthy. Then I'd suggest trying Surf City Smoothies downstairs, instead. read more

It's not a bad mall for locals. If you don't mind traveling a bit further (25 miles) I prefer Santa Anita Mall. But between Westfield (9ish miles away) and Montclair...Westfield has more stores and better selection but Montclair is easier to Navigate. There's also the nostalgia factor for us locals. It's oddly comforting knowing that no matter the changes in one's life...at least the Montclair Mall is constant. Same 'ol Montclair mall lol. read more

This mall has improved soooo much over the years. I remember it being pretty run-down but after all the construction and the addition of new stores, it's become one of my to-go places to shop whenever I'm in the area. The mall isn't as big as other places, like Ontario Mills and Victoria Gardens, but they have most of the stores I like to shop at. It's usually not too crowded and parking isn't too bad either. I wish the food court had some healthier choices though! read more

I visited here 3 Sundays ago. During lunch hours. No too many people. Steady business. I visit Jc Penney, it has a good crowd. The food court is very small. Good crowd. I grew up in Chino... so this was my local mall as I grew up. So, I've seen it go through a lot of changes over the years. Back before the Ontario Mills existed, or the Victoria Gardens. I have to say, I miss the old Montclair PLAZA. Montclair "Place" is just trying to be something it's not. As I walk through here now... the only thing I can think is that... other than a small handful of stores (including the department stores), there really isn't anything but junk there. And now... they've even gone and ruined the food court. I just don't get it. I guess every place wants to have their own "packing house" motif now. Hopefully, the person who's bright idea it was can see what a poor investment that has been. As my wife and I walked through there.... we see 2-3 people at the noodle house; nobody at the Poke shop; 2-3 people at the taco shop; 40 PEOPLE WAITING IN LINE AT PANDA EXPRESS. That should tell you everything you need to know. Stop trying to be fancy in Montclair. Know your audience. Just give people their fast food back. This mall just makes me sad now... read more

Was here on "Black Friday" and it was not so crazy. The sales were just so-so. This is a weirdly shaped mall with all the regular stores, has a Nord, except I don't think it has Forever 21, which is strange. Lots and lots of families go here seemingly just to hang out on weekends. It is not unusual to see an entire family:: Grannie, kids, aunties, everyone in a huge horde just meandering aimlessly. They WILL get in your way... just take a deep breath.... and don't be in a rush. One time I almost got absorbed into a family. Yeah its like that. The restroom in Barnes and Noble is the one to use. In this area, there really isn't much to choose from unless you want to go down to West Co- they have Forever 21 and Nord Rack too. read more

A nice sized mall in the city of Montclair, comparable to the Brea Mall, and better than West Covina's mall. It has everything you wanted, Express, Forever 21, H&M, Sears, Macy's, JCPenney's. They even had the standard Santa line as well :3 The environment here is really nice, along with the "Christmas feel" here. Parking here is also great, but can get confusing if you don't understand the parking areas. Classy, to say the least. Only bad thing I saw was that their food court was smaller than usual. read more

Was in town yesterday for my son's Water Polo Tournament at Montclaire High School. In between games we stopped by to eat and relax since it was pretty hot. We had a chance to enjoy what appears to be a remodeled mall. I sat by the Starbucks and had a chance to cool off with my son. It was not too crowded and do look forward to our next outing in the area. Glad to see the place is well kept and stores are well represented. read more

My whole mall experience went bad today from customer service , I started with the Easter bunny pictures and the girl who takes photos with long dark hair was horrible . Didn't say a word to us or help me arrange my children for good pictures. I spend the whole time guessing what I should do next. So uncomfortable.The girl at the register wills friendly . This is my favorite mall in the IE. There is ample parking. Never too crowded. The store selection is really good. I'm surprised it's usually half empty. I'm very okay with that. I like having room to walk. The grub selection is pretty also. read more

Tenant review. This is for all those prospective future tenants as I always look at these reviews to help me decide if I should consider the investment. I was there for many years, I went in when it was still GGP. I was there when this latest management promised an upscale remodel along with exterior shopping neighborhoods, wine food court and more. I'm sure you can still find renderings online. That was 4 or 5 years ago, you can look for yourself and decide how that turned out. I was fortunate not fall for false promises and do a long term lease, my heart goes out to the ones who took the chance, made the investment and the mistake. Why only one star? #1) I attended city council meetings where it was clear the remodel was not happening yet they kept this information from the tenants. #2) after months they still have been unable to pay back a small security deposit and from the obvious cutbacks toward the end of the remodel. I can only conclude they must have financial difficulties. #3) the possibility for a turn around might have been there 5 years ago but in this retail climate the window has closed. It would take just to much money and to much luck. #4) this is now a dead mall with little chance and there are just to many empty spaces with ever more available out there and with better probability. I do wish them the best but unless it's a super low rent and you have very short term plans, there are better options. read more

I enjoy going to this mall. I wish it had a Nike store but the Mills isnt too far from me either. Its a lot less crowed then the mills; which I can appreciate on days I have to shop around and rather not deal with a bunch of folks and trying to find parking. Ive been to a lot of malls and with the remodeling recently done, Montclair plaza is one of the more nicer ones. A few empty shops since online shopping has been becoming a very huge competitor. Food court seems to be getting smaller as well, but there are many other food options around the mall. read more

Montclair Plazaaaaaa! (You gotta say it like that for full effect) I came here countless times from a span of 10-15 years. I gotta say that this mall has expanded their stores a lot throughout the years. They stepped up with the cleanliness and their up-keep of the floors and food-court. I also worked here for over a year at the Rainbow Gate store (Hello Kitty, Sanrio), so I've explored this mall through and through! The store closed, however, so you won't find any Sanrio store at this mall! Boo hoo! Along with their selection of large department stores, their suite selection now includes: H&M, Coach Sephora (angels singing), ALDO, Express, Frederick's of Hollywood, Victoria's Secret, Spencer Gifts, Sees Candies, and Sunglass Hut (to name a few!) Their food court selection could be better, but is fair enough! Their food court now includes: Panda Express (which opened while I used to work at the mall and we were sooo excited!), Mongolian BBQ (decent), McDonald's, Sbarro, and Alberto's. If you want a great meal, try the Nordstrom Cafe located at the 2nd level ;-) read more
