The owner has done a FANTASTIC job at bringing in styles that are wearable instead of just novelty western pieces, which is what is most often found in these types of towns. While she does throw her own little bit of western flair in there, the store is very modern. There are great yoga pieces, work appropriate pieces, and a great spread of other fashionable items. This is sure to be one of the most popular shopping spots in Big Sky.

However, don't let the name deceive you. This is an upscale women's fashion boutique with clothes, shoes, purses, accessories and more. Yes, it still carries some country-ish items, but the classy portion heavily outweighs anything that could be deemed too honky tonk. I purchased a gorgeous black scarf with intricate beading and came very close to purchasing an expensive alpaca fur handbag. Great value clothing store for Yellowstone tourists!…read more The prices here vary depending on what you're looking at, but there's an awesome clearance section at the back of the shop that has a ton of great offerings. When I stopped by, there were plenty of $7 shirts and pants, $4 women's dickies long sleeve button down shirts, windbreakers, $18 thick Yellowstone hoodies, and more. I'm thrilled to have scored $7 and $12 quality windbreakers from this store. They had Yellowstone emblems on them and originally go for $30+ each. The cheapest price I saw for quality windbreaker jackets were $24 elsewhere in the tourist town. Worth a visit! Hope you score some fabulous souvenirs at great prices too! :)

As you walk in, the employees will tell you about their sustainable, handmade local art, including home goods items and jewelry, herbal remedies -- all in small batches -- nothing mass produced. During my visit, one of the owners was in the back creating a design of her own, but unfortunately for me. I didn't go to the back to see what it was. Cactus Blossom is part retail shop and, I think, part work shop for locals who need a place to create and enjoy the camaraderie of others who share their artistic life. This is such a great store for finding something unique.
