I heard that it was recently remodeled and they did a great job from what I could tell! Meridian carries high end clothing brands, and offers a solid selection of shoes and accessories too. If / when I am back in Bozeman, I will definitely return and likely check out the men's boutique nextdoor as well!

**November 2025: Sunday Afternoon Visit**…read more I'm looking for some second hand gems, and was interested to see what "The Basement" was all about. The shop is located on a strip mall with ample parking, but there's not a large sign to really identify it. I drove past it, but it's located right next to a military recruitment center. When you step inside the shop is ver narrow and has a very casual streetwear aesthetic. I think all items were for boys or individuals who would appreciate the uni-sex apparel. There are some shoes in the back of the room. I didn't get anything here, but I think the shop does have some good merchandise. I would say the items range in $$-$$$ price range.

My husband and I stopped in today looking forward to doing some shopping and purchasing a few items…read morebefore PBR. While browsing, I found a bolo tie I intended to buy and tried it on. A saleswoman with short brown hair and a stalkier build immediately came over and rather sternly told me I hadn't put it on correctly and that I may have ruined it. At first I was taken back, but I explained that I knew how to operate the clasp on the back and understood how to properly put on and remove a bolo, as I'm a local and familiar with them. Despite that, she continued to repeat that I may have ruined it instead of listening to what I was saying. At that point, I simply took the bolo off, called my husband back from shopping, and we left. It was disappointing because we had planned to spend a fair amount of money before PBR, but after that interaction, we no longer felt welcome. Customer service makes all the difference, and unfortunately this experience left us feeling embarrassed rather than appreciated as potential customers. We'll be choosing to support local businesses that make customers feel welcome and respected instead.

They have traditional items and some that are more modern and fun. Their clothes and accessories are reasonably priced for you get. Meaning that you can get skirts for around $90 and leather jackets for around $150, with leather jacket starting around $300. We loved and tried on several items, and ended up getting a denim skirt for me, a beautiful brown suede jacket with fur collar for my husband, and a turquoise and silver necklace for me, which was half price. Service was extremely friendly. Definitely worth checking out!

However, passing by this store, I saw a shirt my mom would love so I decided to come on in. I wasn't planning on doing much shopping in Bozeman but this little store convinced me otherwise. And boy did I find stuff to get, and more. It was hard narrowing down what I wanted to get because there was so much. And it was varied as well. I got that shirt for my mom but I also walked away with a cute purse, a notebook, some jewelry, stickers and a few other items. I could have bought so much more but I was limited by the space in my carry-on bag and didn't want to have to ship stuff home. I'd highly recommend shopping here, whether it's for gifts for you or someone else in your life.

If you're looking for "vintage" Patagucci to drive up to Hyalite, walk ten steps from the car and take #adventure shots for your instagram feed and head back to town, then you'll probably find some sweet duds here for that. Okay, this is a longer one but as an avid thrifter and experienced (and fair) reseller myself, I…read morethink that this place necessitates a particular conversation. My thoughts- I've stopped into Second Wind a few times over the years in search of gear/clothing for personal use, but have consistently walked away disappointed if not empty-handed because their pricing is exorbitant and stupidly inflated, and I have no shame in using that sort of verbiage. An example from today that caught me so off guard I did some research, subsequently leading me to writing this review- a heavily used & visibly stained/faded Patagonia vest listed at $115, which is $16 less than the retail price on Patagonia's own website ($131). In my opinion and personal experience, this is not an isolated case- a lot of their merchandise is significantly worn, sometimes even dirty, and still priced like it's barely been used. While I did find and purchase a cute pair of pants that were reasonably priced and in good shape today, it unfortunately doesn't negate the general pattern of overpricing. Selling gear in highly used and rough condition for near-retail prices undermines the whole point of secondhand shopping and if we're being honest, many locals have access to outdoor industry discounts that include the benefit of full warranties. Trying to resell deeply used gear at near-retail prices just feels exploitative in that context. Even online secondhand platforms like Depop tend to be far more equitably priced and transparent about quality. I'm all for supporting secondhand and local businesses, but not when it starts to feel greedy and borderline shady. Pricing like this erodes trust and defeats the purpose of resale. There are more transparent, affordable, and community-minded options out there-- please shop around.
