My husband and I stopped in today looking forward to doing some shopping and purchasing a few items before PBR. While browsing, I found a bolo tie I intended to buy and tried it on. A saleswoman with short brown hair and a stalkier build immediately came over and rather sternly told me I hadn't put it on correctly and that I may have ruined it.
At first I was taken back, but I explained that I knew how to operate the clasp on the back and understood how to properly put on and remove a bolo, as I'm a local and familiar with them. Despite that, she continued to repeat that I may have ruined it instead of listening to what I was saying.
At that point, I simply took the bolo off, called my husband back from shopping, and we left. It was disappointing because we had planned to spend a fair amount of money before PBR, but after that interaction, we no longer felt welcome.
Customer service makes all the difference, and unfortunately this experience left us feeling embarrassed rather than appreciated as potential customers. We'll be choosing to support local businesses that make customers feel welcome and respected instead. read more
