I had purchased a pair of jeans that were too big, but had already removed the tags AND did not have a receipt when I went back in. There was a sign that clearly stated the return policy, which I was not incompliance with - But I asked about an exchange anyways. Not only did the gal who helped me bring me other pairs and sizes jeans for me to try on, she did so with a kind heart and understanding beyond what I was deserving of. She took a direct monetary loss simply for my own satisfaction as she will not be able to return or sell the jeans I returned. Thank you, thank you, thank you! You earned a lifelong customer today! (And I promise not to exchange anything else)

Being from the NYC area, I was blown away by what I found at Recouture Consignment in Bozeman, Montana. Their selection perfectly reflected the local vibe and season--think Pendleton sweaters, Woolrich jackets, high-end ski gear, and other amazing winter finds. On top of that, they had plenty of designer and brand-name pieces at incredible prices. I scored a Marc Jacobs crossbody bag, some great plaid button-downs, a beautiful collection of scarves and shawls, and even some super cool jewelry. We visit the YC and Big Sky every year, and I will absolutely be making Recouture a must-stop again next trip. I can't wait to see what treasures they have waiting next time. You won't be disappointed.

I heard that it was recently remodeled and they did a great job from what I could tell! Meridian carries high end clothing brands, and offers a solid selection of shoes and accessories too. If I had more time, I probably would have tried on some things, but this time I just looked. I found a unique reversible sweater, a space-dyed stretchy tank that has ruching on the sides to make it cropped or longer, a beautiful pair of pants from Liverpool brand, perfect for work (in fact, they carry some brands also sold at Nordstrom and other trusted retailers), and a super-soft long cardigan that also came in a few other styles/lengths. The salesperson said they had just gotten it in stock today and had already sold four of the pieces. (I happened to have accidentally pulled off one of my bracelets while in the fitting room and came back to ask if anyone had turned it in...and yes! Someone found it and they had it waiting for me at the front. Yay!) The service was beyond friendly and helpful. I heard the woman working there say hello to every single person that came in with a genuine warmth in her tone. She also gave us a few tips about the weekly Thursday community event, Music on Main, which my local friend had mentioned, and told us about how all the stores pull out their sale clothes and offer extra deals during this street fair-type event. All in all I'm so glad I walked into this store and I WILL be back before we head back to SD!

And then sideline whisper and snicker. Made our friends want to leave without buying those cute pink dresses and many other items. A sales loss of over $800....customer service and greeting people is so key in this tiny town! Advice: be careful who you mock when they're in your store. You don't know the intent or the money they were willing to shell out.

When we asked questions, we were treated with such arrogance and condescension that I couldn't believe we were dealing with a "local company" who we found out by the way is owned by some woman in CALIFORNIA. Then again, it is Bozangeles. I wonder if the owners actually know how horrible their employees treat customers, and I also wonder if they realize or care that families that go back seven generations know hundreds of other families that will now get the full picture of what this store is and who they have working for them. We have contacted the actual designer and let them know about our experience and how their product line is being represented in Bozeman Montana.
