The decorum was not the same but the energy reminded me of my old stomping ground (O'Neils in New London RIP). I enjoyed the collection of decor, especially the dragon hanging from the ceiling and the little guy in the upper corner. The bar tender was friendly and I enjoyed over hearing them talk with regulars. I ordered the happy hour nachos and a Diet Coke. There wasn't anything fancy about them but they felt nostalgic (and very cheesy!). I want to come back and try one of their grill cheese but I don't know if my tummy could handle that much cheese in one go.

With good reviews and a cool menu we dropped in and couldn't have been happier! We were pretty lucky as it was not that busy and we were able to get a table right away. The decor is eclectic and interesting. The staff came with a great smile and even better attitude; absolutely top notch! We started w the pretzels and beer cheese. Holy 6 pound baby Jesus they were good. They came out piping hot and the cheese was in a bubbling side dish. This isn't your typical dab of cheese in a plastic condiment container that is commonplace nowadays. I had the Arturo Sandoval (spin on a Cuban) as my entree and it was also fabulous and came out hot. If I was being critical, the pork was a wee bit dry, but that happens sometimes and it really didn't take away from the sando. Even the small side of pasta salad was outstanding. I'm lucky if I eat sides like that 1/100 times and this one I couldn't wait to finish. Great vibe, great staff, great food, and live music almost every day. Definitely gonna go back and if it's just as good will update to 5 stars.

Service is great, very attentive and friendly. The food is what earns this three stars. I tried a stuffie, German onion soup, a Farmhouse burger, and a key lime Mason jar. The stuffie was a little small, and most of the flavor was imparted by the ham and the squeeze of lemon. The German onion soup, I'm not sure why it was German except to not be French? Outside the name difference, the onions were way too large, and there was a total lack of flavor going on in the soup. The crock was very large too. The burger and fries looked pretty good, and I enjoyed the flavors here. The fries were rough hewn, so there was good crispness from all the edges. The toppings of the burger, and the bun, were also hearty. Unfortunately, my medium rare burger was more like raw meat with surface browning. I'm a big fan of rare steak, but ground beef needs a little more cooking. Also, the house made ketchup is really more of a marinara sauce. If I'd ended up eating more of my plate before they took it away to re-fire the burger, I would have asked to replace the ketchup. The key lime Mason jar was e everything you want to wrap up a meal. Great flavor, lightness, citrus. I did have to bring most of it home but, unlike the burger they brought back in a box, I'm excited to get back into the key lime. From an accessibility stand point, there is no ramp to get in nor handicap parking, so the evidently don't want your business. Once you're in, there are some seats you could get in, but if this place were full it would be difficult to navigate for anyone. The bathroom is a single room, but very spacious and nice. So, mixed bag for access. Your mileage may vary, but I'm not racing to return.

The bench seating was very comfortable, though some of the tabletops were pretty tall and all wood, so maybe not the easiest to sit at for a while. The restaurant has an extensive menu, but when I saw the pitmaster section I knew I had to try some of that. As an appetizer there were potato skins with pulled pork. Wow, these are not the wizened, come from a frozen box, potato skins. These were large, brimming with flavor and cheese. From the pit was brisket and ribs. Each came with corn bread, one with fries, the other with mac and cheese. Corn bread, so good, nice grainy texture, not a baked sugar slurry like you can find elsewhere, up here in the north. The brisket is super tender, doesn't need much sauce because it's packing all that natural and smoke flavor. The ribs are not dainty. You're going to be getting in here with your hands, like proper ribs eating. I'm so unused to that, and it resulted in me bringing half the rack home because a half rack was so filling. The edges of the ribs were dry, but all the interior was pull apart tender and delectable. Again, only needing a touch of their homemade sauce. The fries were robust but still crispy and seasoned well. The mac was the only miss for me. Too toothsome and not much flavor. Because they also do wood fired pizza, I got a cheese with ricotta to go. I'm not sure I ever need their pizza again. The crust was thin but not very crispy except on the cornicione, which had a lot of herbs sprinkled on it. The sauce disappeared, flavor wise, and so did the cheese blend. Side notes - I know everything has gotten crazy expensive, but the prices here took me aback. $16 for three pieces of bacon? Also, the 10% military discount was only applied to my ribs, but nothing else, so I'm happy they have one but it may only be applied to your food and non alcoholic drinks on Tuesdays and Fridays during their specific windows.

Very first thing I noticed was that the sign was absolutely ridiculously faded. We actually drove right by it the first time trying to find the place. If the owners trying to hide his establishment from customers, he's doing an excellent job with that sign. We sat down, the waitress didn't seem very enthused to help us on a Labor Day. I think that my pizza crust had more personality than our waitress did. She kind of warmed up towards the end, when it was time to get the bill, and we needed to decide what to tip. When it comes to the actual pizza... I think it was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS PIZZA. Some of the best pizza I've had in a long time. This being said, after i ate, I walked into the bathroom to wash my hands, it was an absolute nightmare. This bathroom had clearly not been cleaned in a while. Gross toilet seat, with fecal matter and toilet paper stuck to it. The sight of this makes me a little worried, because this will probably be the similar condition of the kitchen. This place would probably get five stars from more people if they did a couple things: 1. Employ staff that seems enthusiastic about their job and makes the customers feel welcome. 2. Clean your damn bathrooms. 3. Invest in a sign out front that people can actually see from the street. 4. (This one probably doesn't matter) but I think the whole quarterback theme for a pizza place is really stupid. And the name is pretty stupid as well. This being said, I probably will return and bring some other people. And we will give it a second chance. Don't let me down Quarterback Sneak Club or whatever the hell you're called.

Whether it's very busy or mostly empty, the service is a little slow and the music is so loud you have trouble communicating with anyone you may be there with. At least when you do get service everyone is very friendly. The menu concept is that everything is in flights, so you're choosing three from usually four options. You can choose the same thing twice, or get anything stand-alone. My experience was that at least one of the options was subpar, either being dry or bland. Also, on the slider flight, I requested no raw onions on the one slider and they didn't put the grilled onions on the other burger either. However, while this is reading negative, I will say that the rest of the food is great and I'm looking forward to coming back to try more options I haven't gotten to yet. They have outdoor seating, which may be quieter but wasn't available in December when I went. I think it's worth a try, but since it is small it may be full when you go, and I wouldn't recommend a large group without a reservation.

I also got some BBQ chicken potato skins. The restaurant itself is very pleasant, a large interior that you wouldn't guess from the outside. It has a cozy ambiance, and it has a very local feel as a lot of the other customers and the staff seemed to know each other. The staff are also super friendly and there wasn't much time between any time I needed something and receiving it. The soup and salad bar is on the menu for $15 standalone and I'm not sure the limited variety warrants that, but as a part of the meal it was just enough. I really enjoyed the beef and bean soup, though the New England clam chowder was pretty bland. The salad bar was well kept and had enough to make a solid salad. The prime rib came out before the potato skins appetizer, so that was odd, but at least you know the kitchen isn't holding dishes up under a heat lamp. The potato skins were alright but the chicken was pretty dry and nothing I'd order again. The real disappointment was the prime rib. My knife wasn't sharp enough to get through the rubbery skin that surrounded it, rather than having a nice seasoned crust. The meat was firm and fairly flavorless, and the au jus that came with it didn't add anything either. The whole preparation needed more salt, pepper, herbs, and maybe a touch of aging to let it penetrate. The mashed potatoes and gravy, similarly, were bland and unenjoyable. I can say the menu is broad, so you may find something else on it, but I don't think this is your destination for delectable prime rib.

Overall, there's room for improvement, especially in consistency and seasoning. The staff and setting were fine, but the food felt like it was still in the "beginner chef" stage.
