I first stumbled upon when I saw a Facebook post about one piece heroine cards. I've been there 3 times now and they specialize in mostly sealed stock and tournaments for the different tcgs. They sell a variety of tcgs: weiss schwarz, pokemon ,one piece, Gundam, riftbound. Prices are very reasonable and fair. My third time I was able to enter my first one piece prerelease tournament. The players were so kind and patient with me and the owner and staff were super friendly making sure I could have someone teach me the basics and lending me don!! cards. Overall, a great experience both playing and buying. Will definitely continue to support this shop in the future and hope to learn how to get better at playing OP tcg. I hope they start adding pokemon to their tournaments and have some other events like trade night or model building.

I…read morerecently started collecting Pokémon cards and dragged my friends here with me after lunch in Chinatown. I had only visited one other TCG card store previously and this was a starkly different experience in the best way possible. I was immediately greeted warmly by Taylor and given an overview of what the store offered - Pokémon, Yu-Gi-Oh, Disney Lorcana, One Piece, and some accessories (e.g. play mats, card sleeves, etc.). My friends and I purchased two Paldean Fates tins and the remaining three 151 booster packs. We sat at one of the open tables whilst some other people were participating in the weekly Yu-Gi-Oh tournament. We opened all of our packs and still wanted more, so my friend went back to the counter to purchase the 151 poster pack that we had originally passed on. Within the 30 minutes that we were there, someone had purchased it! Totally understandable given the hype around this set and how reasonable this store's prices are. To scratch the itch, Taylor pulled out a box of common Pokémon cards for us to flip though. These were organized by set and by holographic, reverse holographic, etc. I ended up purchasing about 10-15 of these cards for $4. Almost all of them were $0.25 each with the exception of two that were a bit less common, which Taylor checked the market prices of and then charged me about a $1 for each - again very fair and reasonable. My hubby is a recently card collector as well but for Yu-Gi-Oh, so I picked up some goodies for him too, which included a Quarter Century Bonanza booster box containing 24 packs for $95. I mentioned to Taylor that the hubby was missing one card to complete Exodia - I knew there were different versions of these cards from different sets but Taylor immediately pieced together which card I was looking for and pulled put a binder of singles to show me. I was definitely my hubby's favorite person because that was exactly the card that he was looking for and he also pulled some rares from the booster box.

I found parallel parking right in front on the store, I'm sure there's a lot close by if parallel parking isn't your thing. The store is narrow but they have made excellent use of the space. There are tons of comics, books, action figures and even a small selection of reasonably priced vinyl records. The employee was talking to a younger comic book fan while I was there, suggesting what to read and characters he might like. I could tell the employee had a real passion for what he was doing, it was very nice. I'm glad I made the trip to Baytown, it's a really cool store.

The owner is passionate about comic books and games and has enough knowledge to recommend either based on what you are looking for. He sometimes hosts MTG tournaments and and has a solid collection of commons that he sells for cheap, as well as a collection of rares and mythics that go for higher, but reasonable prices. I've been here several times and will keep coming back. Nice to have a decent comic/gaming shop in Baytown that isn't that other one.

I was overwhelmed with the organization and variety this store had. It's nice and spacious, inspiring, and very cute. We were worried about going in right at opening time but there was a lady working who was also doing a morning scrapbook class of 1 other lady (I assume it's a small class given that they were sitting at long opened tables covered with crafting supplies) who greeted us kindly. She checked on us once while we strolled, and then was very friendly upon checking out. My partner and I just got married so we got a few things to start a new scrapbook beginning with our honeymoon. And we also picked up a DIY calendar which is something I've actually never seen before! Very excited to start our new projects.

I stopped in here to kill some time after a training for work in the area…read more It is sooo much more than comics. I spent a long time just walking around getting a good dose of nostalgia. There are old school transformer toys, VHS tapes, vintage posters and things I remember seeing as a kid. I had friends that were into graphic novels in the past but the only one I had read was v for vendetta because I loved the movie so much. I asked the woman working there if there were any that she recommended and she showed me a couple that sounded really interesting and entertaining. You could tell that she was knowledgeable and invested in what she does there. I hadn't planned on buying anything but ended up buying a dr. Seuss water bottle and a couple packs of gum with sarcastic sayings on the box. So there is no lack of comics and expertise but there's a lot of other fun stuff too. I'll probably stop in again in a couple weeks when I have training down there again and maybe pick up a graphic novel.

I agree.LIKE WHAAAAAT! only had three because one donor donated loads of things and these were the only comics they donated, so if you have some old comics lying around, come to Misfit Toys and donate them, i would love to take them off of you! my favorite thing about this store (besides the comics) was the figures. Also, the Michael Myers collectors doll with all the matching pieces....would be the perfect gift for anyone who is an obsessed fan of Halloween or just horror genre in general. Not only do they have a great selection of models but also a lot of parts, paints etc. Maybe more important they will give advice for beginners and experts. Sure you might find a model a few dollars cheaper on line but you do not get the advice and suggestions. If they do not have the exact model they are happy to order it for you. I find myself browsing, talking with staff and other customers and get input on my projects. This is as far as I know the only model shop in Houston so if do models, build model trains to beginner airplanes visit the store and help us keep this one open,
