Great service and customer care. Offers many options for tailoring at a reasonable price.

She is amazing. I needed a suit tailored the same day on New Years Eve and she was able to pull it off. Great work and great prices.

Excellent. We own the gym next door and have used her a ton of times. A very sweet lady who does excellent work. Takes the time to do each job right but also very quick service. Brian read more

We used to go there until she started doing what she thought was best, instead of what we asked for. We recently came back to see if she can work on a pillow for us, Things haven't changed, she began to yell at my husband because I changed my mind on a shirt and he picked up, a couple of my shirts were ruined because of this. Anyway, she was really rude and was pointing her finger at him and was saying that it was because of the price, which wasn't the case, 8.00 is a good price, but its not good when she is rude, presumptuous and thinks she knows more than the customer, it isn't. This happened five years, five years ago. So then she starts to lecture me about rugs and latch hooking, saying how I should do this way. I've been doing this for years too, and its the way I do it. I have problems understanding things, because I'm also mentally disabled. I didn't understand what she was saying, she was getting frustrated, my husband tried to explain my disability to her and she didn't listen, and pretty much didn't care. So she was rude, and we won't be coming anymore. read more

This shop is a small establishment in the heart of Monrovia. Almost 2 years ago, I walked in here a nervous wreck. I had a wedding to go to and only brought one dress to wear. While i was at my mom's getting dressed, the zipper broke. I had heard that there is a very nice lady who does alterations on Myrtle but NEVER did i expect to be treated like family when i walked through those doors. She was so caring and she took my dress and the zipper was a difficult one but she fixed it and only charged me 5$. Best of all, she reassured me that I would have the dress fixed asap. She is truly an alteration expert. I remembered to write this review now because a zipper on another one of my dresses recently broke so I will be paying the lovely Ms. Yeran a visit this week. I have not used her dry cleaning services but in terms of alterations, she is fair, honest, and skilled. Every other cleaner's that i called that day said for same day service it would be an extra charge and some quoted me up to 35$. I will definitely return to Yeran for my alteration needs from this point on. Thank you!!! read more

I went back to have some more tailoring done -- mostly taking in waistbands on skirts and pants. Again, all the work was done in a week and it fits *perfectly*! The prices are also very reasonable, and the friendly service means I'll definitely be coming again. Thank you! read more

The most unprofessional and rude tailor I have ever been to. I dropped off a pair of pants and a jumpsuit last Thursday to get them shortened, and the owner, or whoever she is, Yeran said it would be done by next Wednesday. I came to pick them up today, Thursday, which is a day after she said they would be ready and only the pants were finished. She's just sitting watching some TV on her iPad. She said she would be done with the jumpsuit in 2 minutes so I decided to just sit and wait. 15 minutes later she's telling me that my black pants have a stain on them, which makes no sense since they are brand new and I have never worn them since they are too long-- which is the reason I'm having them tailored in the first place. No apology, no explanation, just completely rude customer service. If they're not ready by the day you said they'd be ready or even the day after, then just call me, that's why you have my phone number. I don't suggest coming here at all, but if you have no other choice, make sure to call ahead and ask if your clothes are ready even if you are picking them up after the date she originally said they would be done. read more

I agree with the reviewer on 3/29/13. I went to have multiple alterations that included 4 pairs of jeans, which she said she does "original" hem meaning that she's leaves the raw cut side out as part of the hemming - this leaves the fabric open to tattering! The seamstress kept telling me that she guarantees her work and if I'm not happy with the alterations, I could bring it back at no charge. So, I went home only to find that all of the jeans were much too long so I went back. The seamstress became very rude to me saying that she would have to charge me full price again to correct the problem, which was due to her error. I told her that she did not have to be rude with me but she continued to rant at me. So, I decided to just take my jeans and leave, but she then grabbed my jeans out of my hands and began yelling that she would fix them as she began physically pushing me out the door. I could not believe what was happening!!! She started abusing me and assaulting me as I told her to stop and get her hands off of me. Fortunately, my husband was waiting at the door when he stepped in to intervene and began telling her to take her hands off of me and said what she was doing was assault. She took her hands off of me and I told her that I was leaving and would never bring her business again when she started yelling at us that she was going to call the police, My husband then told her that he would save her the trouble and call the police for so he could tell them how she put her hands on me, assaulting me and pushing me when I tried to leave with my jeans. She then proceeded to follow us out the door and told us we were crazy and tried to get an audience as people walked by. I told her that she was the one crazy by putting her hands on me as I tried to leave and told her if she didn't stop, I was going to press charges against her. A couple, who stopped, told me that they couldn't believe what she saw when this person began pushing me out the door and said they would be a witness if the police came, which convinced this person to stop and go back into her store. Now, you may think that my review is just my word against her or that I may be exaggerating; however, I'm still in shock that this person grabbed and pushed me, which is considered assault when I spoke to the Police department. I just hope that she does not do this to anyone else. read more

Wonderful last here, fixed my special dress up last minute.put me at ease, and was very fast and reasonably priced

Extremely satisfied! I had an "emergency" situation. She made special arrangements to meet me for my fitting. The dress was finished in less than 24 hours. My dress fits like a glove! read more

I'm certain I will not take my clothing back for tailoring. Took a suit separates in for shortening and the thread she used was black while my pant was blue. Hemming was mediocre and you can obviously tell that the pant was pulled too tight during the sewing process because the wrinkles were created permanently. She can't even crease down the wrinkles with many tries and she blamed on the fabrics! Worst of all, I have to take my pants to another tailor to get it fix! read more

I brought my "mother of the groom" dress to Monrovia Tailoring for shortening, and I could not have been more pleased with the service and the result. The owner finished the work in the same day, even though I hadn't requested a rush. The quality was better that the original hem and the length is perfect. The cost was a little higher than I expected - $40 to hem a formal dress - but fine since the job was done perfectly! The storefront is tiny, cluttered and disorganized, but the service is warm and friendly. read more

I used to love this place and the lady that owns/operates it, and I've recommended it to many people. And although I might still go to her for alterations because she's very good at that, I won't take my cleaning there anymore -- this after 7 years of using her. The reason is because the pricing is inconsistent and I feel that she's taken advantage of me more than once. Cleaning a sundress should not cost $12 and be referred to as a "gown". When I brought this to her attention, she said she rung it up as a gown because the garment was heavy. It's a sleeveless light-weight rayon $40 sundress... it's not heavy. When I pointed that out, she laughed and said, "I don't know" and then charged me $9 instead. I'm positive in the past she did not charge me that much to clean a sundress, but twice now she's tried to pull this "gown" pricing on me. And her prices for items other than mens dress shirts seem to vary all the time even if she doesn't ring it up as a more expensive item than what it really is. I don't like being gouged and it could be avoided if there was a pricing structure displayed on the wall. Then I would feel more confident she's abiding by a shared price plan rather than making it up on the fly by ringing it up as a gown (or some higher ticket item) in order to get more money out of me. read more
