Examples or responses:it can be mailed or delivered by your salesperson, the person who needs to sign is out of the office, have you checked your bank account, I will check with my supervisor tomorrow to get this expedited. At no point has anyone verbally contacted me regarding the refund. Instead, I have called or emailed weekly to try to get someone to process the owed $$. This is no way to run a reputable business!!!! This customer service is horrible. I am glad I decided that solar is not a good option for me and very glad I did not go forward with AEC Solar.

ALL FOLKS LOOKING TO INSTALL SOLAR PANELS BEWARE! PLEASE READ THIS…read more First off, let me explain my rating. We had AEC Solar/Energy install solar panels on our home in 2020. Everything the salesman told us was TRUE! We stayed negotiating with them (after a lengthy search of solar companies) in April 2020 with installation in December 2020. During our negotiations, we had concerns about the roof as we had purchased the home just two years prior and had no idea as to its age. We were told not to worry that they had an EXPERT who inspected the roofs because they would not put panels on a roof that would not last for a minimum of 20 years. We questioned at that point as to what would happen IF we had a problem with the roof. Our salesman assured us that the inspection of the roof would be sufficient, he contacted the office to be sure and told us that if we did have a problem that we would be allowed a one time only fee of $1,000 to remove the panels, stack them on-site along with the rails and put them back on. Skip ahead to 2025, and all of the rain we've had, all of a sudden we had our roof fail. So we start calling roofers to come and repair the problem. Lo and behold, EVERY roofer that came told us that the roof was at the end of its life! That it was 25-30 years old. We had no reason to inspect the roof, not that we'd know what to look for, so they took photos and showed us the "nail pops" that had been covered in tar all over the roof. These would have been there when AEC's roof inspector looked at the roof prior. The roofers also went into the attic to show us the leaks that were there from the nail pops. The roofers said that we would have to have the panels taken off. Of course we said "no problem, we have an agreement to remove them for $1,000 and put them back on. I call AEC and they said that they never agreed to that and wouldn't be able to do it for the original price. I quickly called the salesman (who now works for another solar company) and I asked him how much it was to remove and reinstall the panels, he said $1,500, I said oh, ok, having remembered it wrong. AEC claimed it was NEVER their policy! They continued to quote me $17,000 less $4K or $5K for a previous customer discount. Everything that we had saved over the past five years would have been gone and then some. The salesman contacted AEC directly and said "Yes, that's what I told them, if anyone had asked, that was the fee". In the meantime, I went back and forth with the folks at AEC and they said that the lowest they could do was $8,000 to remove and reinstall the panels! I said that I was going to write a new review simply telling the FACTS of what happened, they asked me to wait, which I did. Weeks later actually a couple of months, I believe. I have continued to be strung along, so I decided it was time to ALERT ALL SOLAR BUYERS! Apparently the rule of thumb is NOW $400+ PER PANEL TO REMOVE AND REINSTALL THESE PANELS! I asked if they AEC was telling their customers this, unless you ask they may not convey that information. BTW, we had 44 panels installed by AEC!

We had solar installed in November. The process was seamless and received a quote and agreement with PlugPV after we tried to go local with business but after the local business 'made a mistake' with the quote we decided to go with the business out of Troy. The team from sales to install were fantastic. Even after installation they stopped by to drop off an Amazon and Starbucks gift card as a thank you for doing business. So far so good and we are very happy we decided to go with PlugPv.

My salesman misinformed me about how the 30 percent incentive worked. It was my under that these usually only furnish a deduction. He assured me multiple times that I would get a check from the government and I could pay off a big chunk of my loan. WRONG. I can't believe I didn't do more research. Horrified at my laxness but we were rushing to get in before the incentives went away and someone I know in the industry had recommended these guys. And oh, yeah, the installers punched a hole in an upstairs ceiling. Ultimately the company took responsibility for that, but compared to the overpriced solar that doesn't produce enough to make it cost effective I'd say that's a minor note. Stay away from these shysters.

After talking with friends we reached out to Valley Solar and they explained that there isn't such a thing as 'free solar and roof replacement'. While I think we knew this it was good to hear from the experts. The team walked us through the federal, state and utility incentives and explain in detail how the technology works. We are so glad to have found an honest local company. We have almost a dozen friends, neighbors and family members that have used Valley Solar and all sang their praises - now we know why!

Up to you if you want to use a company who speaks falsely of other companies. They claim they are the best company in the valley. According to the reviews though, they are not. And BTW, this company never even did a site visit while 2 others did. "We all are scratching our heads as to how XXXXXXX could come up with the inflated production numbers they are showing you on paper. It is known in the industry that their estimates are typically higher than ours or PV2 but this is an exceptionally high estimate given the tree coverage on the property. I understand the allure to proceed with a company showing you the highest production on paper but ultimately if you have 2 other companies telling you you'd need more panels to get close to where Northeast is promising it should be a good sign that it is not our data but theirs that is off. We are sad to see a local company over promising this much to win deals. It is public data (and I am passionate on saving folks from being taken advantage of), so I will share - XXXXXXXX's business is down ~40% this year, perhaps they are desperate to win projects and are resorting to unethical tactics. Valley Solar has grown by 8% this year, one of the only solar companies in the state to grow during the past year which saw a down turnover in solar installations statewide. This system is priced at just $2.96/watt - our average installation cost is $3.84/watt. This is an amazing opportunity to get Valley Solar as your long term solar provider at less than $3/watt! We did not sub out equipment for cheaper options either, you are receiving best in class REC solar panels! On top of this, your system will be monitored by our in-house performance monitoring system 'SunAlert.' I hope you can respect my openness and honesty. I know you will thank us for years to come! I hope to get to work with you on this project. Please let me know if you have any questions and or if you are ready to get rockin' and rollin' with the project.
