We're supremely happy with GPE. Tyler Jester is our account rep and he was clear, intelligent and honest about the entire process. He and his team are customer service at its very best! It took about 8-9 months from the contract signing until the system was installed and running and GPE took care of absolutely everything with no construction mess or hiccups. Note: the time delay is not on them -- there's a complicated permitting and inspections process and a tedious rigamarole with Eversource, all of which was navigated by GPE entirely with NO stress for me. Visuals are very important to me and GPE didn't just plop the panels on the roof: I had final say on the design (after reviewing the feasibility with the sunshine, of course). I have data from the app for the weeks before the system was turned on and every day (and even hour) since. During the hottest part of the summer our electric bill dropped from almost $500 to $60, and now we're producing more than we consume and generating a credit!! There's a tax rebate of $20K, cash-incentives of $2100, and my loan is $197/month, far less than the $297 monthly average of my bills. I like that I'm helping the planet, and my wallet. Go solar and use Green Power Energy to do it. There's no BS, the process is transparent, the people are responsive and terrific, and the system is both powerful and beautiful. It took me over a year to commit to a solar project and sign a contract with Green Power Energy. Over the course of that year, I had multiple conversation with their sales rep, AJ, who patiently answered my questions and was never pushy. I can't say the same for other companies I spoke with. Best example of their transparent, non-pushy approach to sales? I was considering adding batteries to my system but there were a number of complex variables to consider. The sales rep, answered to his best abilities but ultimately setup an appointment with their in-house battery pro. He explained in detail why batteries were NOT a good value for me. That honesty was much appreciated and saved me tens of thousands of dollars. When I finally did sign on the dotted line, the solid customer service continued. They were extremely transparent and easy to get in touch with throughout the entire process. It's truly turnkey service. They take care of everything from permits to filings with the utility. When all was said and done, there was a stubborn problem with the app incorrectly reporting usage and production. To their great credit, they had people come out to address the issue multiple times until it was resolved. Again, communication was excellent as they worked to resolve the issue (which they did resolve ultimately!). All told, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Green Power Energy. read more

Green Power Energy (GPE), their support team, including Costello Roofing, and my sales rep Austin were outstanding in the way they handled my project. Austin is very good at his job. He's knowledgeable, and was always available to answer my questions. And I had many questions, even though I had met with 7 other solar sales people prior to landing on GPE. Austin was extremely helpful as he patiently explained everything from the product, process and warranty- probably 2 or 3 times. I can't say enough about Austin. He kept me informed throughout the whole process which alleviated stress, and worry over making a wrong and expensive decision. My roof was 25 years old, and needed to be replaced. Austin had a solution in Costello Roofing. Costello contacted me and sent an aerial photo of my property to ask where I wanted the dumpster placed. They think of everything. The roof was financed together with the solar array which was the only way I could do it. The installation went smoothly. They made all the paperwork easy. They even registered my solar panels with Panasonic to ensure that the 25 warranty was activated within the required 60 day period. Otherwise it drops to 15 years. I had a deeply disappointing experience with Green Power Energy. After they installed and activated my solar system on April 24, 2025, my home began experiencing electrical issues--flickering lights and unstable power. A licensed electrician ultimately diagnosed a damaged meter lug, a serious and potentially dangerous problem. United Illuminated (the utility) confirmed that their work on the bidirectional meter did not affect the damaged connection. That leaves Green Power Energy's installation as the likely source of the damage. Despite this, the company refused to accept responsibility, even after being presented with the electrician's findings. They offered a partial repair discount but denied liability--leaving me with expensive urgent electrical repair costs. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company. Beware!! read more

I'm very pleased with the installation from Green Power Energy ( GPE ). From sales ( Steve McHale ) to field installation management ( Darryl Hooks ) everyone at GPE was 100% committed to ensuring a successful solar panel installation at my home. After all necessary town approvals were granted, the installers arrived at my home on a Friday and installed the solar panels ( 19 panels ). The following week took two partial days of wiring the panels to the Enphase combiner box along with other miscellaneous items. GPE worked within my vacation schedule and were able to conclude some final items while I was away on vacation. Once financial approvals were had, which were pretty seemless the install was quick and handled professionally in just 1 day. We recently had a ground mount array installed by Green Power Energy. We had received quotes from a number of solar companies, but Green Power seemed to have the most experience with ground mounts. The process was slow at the beginning, as our town is not the easiest to work with for permits and approvals. However, once appropriate approvals were received, installation began - communication throughout the install process was great and their people on site were courteous and professional.
