They did a short cut method that just folded up the pant leg on the…read moreinside above the hem creating a large pleat on the inside of the pant leg, Then this pleat was just stitched down. I never expected this. All this does is weigh down the hem and not let bottom of the pant leg move properly. I haven't washed them yet, but I am sure the pleat will sag after a washing, since it is only tacked on the side seams. I spent $30 each on this shoddy workmanship and will not be doing business with them again.

For my Birdy Grey satin dress, that meant 4 yards worth; at about $25 a yard, that was over $100 after taxes for alteration. YIKES- that is literally more than I paid for the dress alone! My seamstress must've seen my shock; she went back and chatted with her team; she asked me "How many times will you wear this dress? Once for the wedding?" I replied yes- as much as I'd like to "rewear" my bridesmaid dress, I'm gonna be honest- after so many weddings, I know it's just for the big day of my friend. So she suggested a cheaper seam (not as durable, but does the job), which dropped my alterations to about $60. Just some notes for ladies to be aware of. I wish I had known more coming in on what I was was expecting to pay! Overall- a good experience. They finished my dress with a few days to spare.

The vintage skirt she tailored for me still doesn't fit in the waist and she tore seams in the front to make it larger. She said she could not fix it today but said if she ironed it, it would be okay. Additionally, jumpsuit she altered was too tight under the arms but she was able to fix that issue. When I told her I was very unhappy she started yelling at me. I asked for my money back for the skirt since I need to take it elsewhere to have it tailored properly. She said "no" and then called someone and while she was on the phone, told me "to stay there". I'm not sure what she was up to but obviously I left since she is a bully and con-artist. She clearly rips people off and doesn't care about the quality of her work. Beware: she acts overly nice but now I know, if you aren't a happy customer, she turns angry and threatening.
