Had 2 pairs of jeans shortened. They did a short cut method that just folded up the pant leg on the…read moreinside above the hem creating a large pleat on the inside of the pant leg, Then this pleat was just stitched down. I never expected this. All this does is weigh down the hem and not let bottom of the pant leg move properly. I haven't washed them yet, but I am sure the pleat will sag after a washing, since it is only tacked on the side seams. I spent $30 each on this shoddy workmanship and will not be doing business with them again.

The ladies had suggest I get a bigger, padded bra (saving me on the alteration there). I will say- I was personally a little sticker-shocked. They charge per yard of work and by what type of material/stitching is needed. For my Birdy Grey satin dress, that meant 4 yards worth; at about $25 a yard, that was over $100 after taxes for alteration. YIKES- that is literally more than I paid for the dress alone! My seamstress must've seen my shock; she went back and chatted with her team; she asked me "How many times will you wear this dress? Once for the wedding?" I replied yes- as much as I'd like to "rewear" my bridesmaid dress, I'm gonna be honest- after so many weddings, I know it's just for the big day of my friend. So she suggested a cheaper seam (not as durable, but does the job), which dropped my alterations to about $60. Just some notes for ladies to be aware of. I wish I had known more coming in on what I was was expecting to pay! Overall- a good experience. They finished my dress with a few days to spare.

The suit fits perfectly, modern but classic, and Sam was incredibly kind throughout. The turnaround time was even faster than expected, and I believe the price was very reasonable ($220 for a full level of suit alterations on a jacket that may have been a tad too big when first ordered.) I'll absolutely be back in the near future and would strongly reccommend any of my friends go to DTC Tailor as well.
