I came in wanting to make a minor adjustment on a skirt of mine. The lady didn't greet me and was very rude. She literally walked away and continued her work while I was trying to talk to her about my concerns on the skirt. It really seemed as if she didn't even want to work with me. I recently visited this location in high hopes of getting my daughter's prom dress altered. I was very disappointed by the owners attitude. We made time to visit this location, after school, because they don't set appointments. When we got there she didn't even really look at the dress or hold it up against my daughter. We said there were slight modifications that needed to be made and she immediately said it would cost $100 plus to modify the dress, without seeing it on my daughter [This is where I became kind of concerned because how do you know without seeing how it fits?]. There was only one other person in the "one" fitting room that they have... I waited until that person left to ask if my daughter could at least try on her dress to see what she thought because she was really excited about the dress she'd found. She allowed her to try on the dress and I could even tell that it was only slightly off from the shape of my daughters body [she's a size 2 or 3 and the dress was a 4]. It's an open back dress so I asked if she could add drawstrings and she said we would have to bring the material which is a standard color.... I have never seen someone try so hard to discourage service when little did she know I had the money to pay for it but have been around long enough to know when people are judging you and trying to price you out... this shop is not located in a good area, it's not high-end, and it's not really appealing to the eye. I'm not sure why this person is delusional enough to turn away customers but I won't be back here and I suggest others should rethink visiting this place. read more

Best Tailoring on Smoky Hill is the best tailoring you can find. She does an amazing job on the most difficult of projects, delivers on time, and is very reasonably priced. I highly, highly recommend Best Tailoring for any tailoring needs. I had a Moncler coat with boning that was coming through the fabric in multiple places. She repaired the coat to perfection, after Moncler wouldn't touch it. This was a very tricky job and she did it right. I originally found Best Tailoring from an internet search and decided to take my sons suit in for tailoring. First off the owner was extremely rude. We purchased the suit for $200 and she was going to charge me $350 to tailor the suit! I'm unfamiliar with pricing for such services but I was willing to pay... UNTIL the owner kept insinuating I couldn't afford it. She acted like I was a burden to her. I ended up going to Artistic Custom Tailoring on S Parker road. They were so nice and the drastic price difference was a plus. Instead of charging me $350 i was charged a little over $100. read more

Price was mid-high for alterations but Best Tailoring turned out quality work on time. It's a small shop but that being said the quality of work, pricing and turnaround don't giveaway it's a one-woman show. I paid a bit more than I hoped but I didn't get my stuff back with random strings attacked or uncut strings from seeing like most places. For that I can be thankful at least. Some people may have had issues but alterations are unique to each customer and quite a challenge sometimes. A skirt zipper had broken and she fixed it very quickly for a wedding I was attending. I also have had jeans, a dress, skirt taken in, and the waist of a dress taken up and sleeves taken up. She is so fun to talk to and her work is flawless!! Anytime I need a hem, patchwork, or an adjustment on anything she knows exactly how to fix it and does a wonderful job for an extremely fair price! And even more so, she takes the time to remember me and anything we talked about (like school, work, etc.) and asks me how my life is going with specifics rather than vague customer service. I was very dissatisfied with the service Young provided. I brought in curtains that simply needed to be shortened. She told me it would take one week so I came back in one week to pick it up. When I came back to pick it up, I noticed that one curtain was shorter than the other. She apologized and told me to come back same day so she can fix it right away. I came back the second time to pick it up and everything looked fine. It wasn't until I went home to hang them up that I noticed there were a couple of small holes on one of the curtains that were patched up from leftover material. I confronted her, and she said the holes were already there and she patched it up as a favor. I was upset because they are brand new and that was not possible! Of course, I wanted a refund in which I did receive. I'm giving this place one star because of the unprofessional service- Young did not tell me about the holes but instead denied the holes and tried to patch it up in hopes that I would not notice. I felt deceived and inconvenienced. I did get a refund but she refused to give back the damaged curtain since a refund was issued. I thought that was weird because it was my curtain but whatever. read more
