The ladies had suggest I get a bigger, padded bra (saving me on the alteration there). I will say- I was personally a little sticker-shocked. They charge per yard of work and by what type of material/stitching is needed. For my Birdy Grey satin dress, that meant 4 yards worth; at about $25 a yard, that was over $100 after taxes for alteration. YIKES- that is literally more than I paid for the dress alone! My seamstress must've seen my shock; she went back and chatted with her team; she asked me "How many times will you wear this dress? Once for the wedding?" I replied yes- as much as I'd like to "rewear" my bridesmaid dress, I'm gonna be honest- after so many weddings, I know it's just for the big day of my friend. So she suggested a cheaper seam (not as durable, but does the job), which dropped my alterations to about $60. Just some notes for ladies to be aware of. I wish I had known more coming in on what I was was expecting to pay! Overall- a good experience. They finished my dress with a few days to spare.

Had 2 pairs of jeans shortened. They did a short cut method that just folded up the pant leg on the…read moreinside above the hem creating a large pleat on the inside of the pant leg, Then this pleat was just stitched down. I never expected this. All this does is weigh down the hem and not let bottom of the pant leg move properly. I haven't washed them yet, but I am sure the pleat will sag after a washing, since it is only tacked on the side seams. I spent $30 each on this shoddy workmanship and will not be doing business with them again.

The suit fits perfectly, modern but classic, and Sam was incredibly kind throughout. The turnaround time was even faster than expected, and I believe the price was very reasonable ($220 for a full level of suit alterations on a jacket that may have been a tad too big when first ordered.) I Went back to show her the mistake and she blame me. Not sure what I was expecting to happen (maybe refund the alteration charge and apologize,) since the jeans cannot be made longer, but definitely I was not expecting to be blamed for her mistake.
