I think I paid $13 (or was it $14?) to get my jeans hemmed. Simple hem, nothing complicated. They did a great job. But it did take one week to hem which I thought seemed a little long for the difficulty level of the task. But really, no complaints! I will definitely return here to hem my next pair. Recently I brought in a wool coat to have it altered for the winter. This shop did a great job taking it in a little and still leaving me some room to wear winter clothes under it. I have been in before... but it's been a very long time since my first visit. Suffice to say I was happy enough with the work done here I was willing to go back! It took about a week to get the coat back, which I guess is about normal for an alteration. The price for the work was reasonable. read more

Originally I went here for a bustle on my wedding dress. At the fitting she let me know the zipper was broken and that I needed to lose 1/2 inch around my ribs. The bustle and zipper were $105. After researching I discovered that her charges were very high. When I went back in for my fitting the area around my ribs still did not fit, so she had to let it out. She charged me $95! I didn't have a choice, so I paid it. This was not a complicated or beaded dress, so I was pretty upset. I felt that the dress needed to be let out a little more around my busy as well. I ended up wearing a wrap to cover my back & underarms. I was stressed out and as a professional, she needed to advise properly. I still gave her 3 stars because she was able to get me in, and at first she was nice. read more

This tailor is amazing! My husband is a hard to fit size and she's altered blue jeans at the waist and you'd never be able to tell. Anyone who thinks the price is high knows nothing about what's involved in alterations. Alterations are much more time consuming and difficult than creating a garment from scratch. You may find someone cheaper but they won't do as good a job! We'll never go anywhere else again. read more

Brought in two items, one small Tear in shirt and one button repair, very expensive $12 for these very small repairs. In addition to this, took a week to make repairs and the attitude and lack of customer service huge! There are better places to go, not impressed and would not return or recommend. read more

I have had used the shop many times for alterations, especially for suits and adjusting sleeve lengths on suit jackets. She has a keen eye to notice where the outfit needs other adjustments so the suit becomes well tailored to my shape. I highly recommend using for tailor needs. read more

This is the only place I will go for tailoring. My clothes fit like they were made for me- which, I guess you could say- they were.

I recently had two vintage pieces that I took in for alterations. And what a GREAT job. I was more than completely satisfied with the craftsmanship and the cost. So happy ! Both pieces had been my moms---that she had worn in the 1940's/50---so needless to say there was some emotional/sentimental attachment to both these pieces and the job was completed so perfectly. This is the first and the only place that I will go to have alterations. Forty-eight dollars to have my pants completely changed, but it was worth it. They fit the way that I love my pants to fit. Of course it is a little pricey, but you will not be let down. read more
