The only downside is that it is a private home in Centennial. She has a sewing room in her house with a place to try on clothes for alterations. So you must call before you come over. I honestly thought my dress was unfixable. I bought a $125 bridesmaids dress that was too small for me and the company wouldn't let me return it... when all hope was list I found Alla and she was amazing! Absolutely amazing! I've never met this amazing woman before in my life but I needed a coat taken in quickly before my 30th birthday and she was able to do it in a day last minute for me! I wouldn't suggest for people to put her in this situation, as most alterations take more time to do than a 24hour turn around but she was so unbelievably amazing to help me out in a pinch! Alla is a dream to work with and a lovely woman, to boot! Her alterations are as good as it gets. My planner sent me and my dress Alla's way, and though she's based way, way outside of my neighborhood, my dress couldn't have been in better hands than hers. Alla runs her business out of a dedicated room in her house, and I felt right at home as soon as I walked in the door, and excited when I saw the dozens of photos and happy letters she'd collected. She understood exactly what I wanted as I explained it and took pains to write down everything and make sketches to clarify. I came in with a zip-back dress with a good 3 feet of train and decorated with pokey, uncomfortable beads. Alla switched the zip back for a corset, shortened the train, took in the bust, and spent all winter replacing the pokey beads with patterns of smaller beads that we designed and placed together. It came together so wonderfully. I never really imagined a "dress of my dreams," but with Alla's work, I couldn't have pictured anything more perfect. I ordered a dress online and it took them longer to get it to me than I planned. It fit 99% perfectly, except in the hemline and with my unnatural ability to trip on anything, I needed the hemline raised. Alla is truly the best! I needed custom alterations on my wedding dress last July for my wedding in October and was worried about finding the right person for the job. I made an appointment and arrived with the dress and she quickly alleviated my worries. Upon arriving at her house, we immediately noticed how clean and tidy she keeps her work area. She understood exactly what needed to be done despite having such intricate details and delicate lace.
