I do not recommend Inna's business for bridal alterations and wish I would have read reviews here and on Yelp before following LUV Bridal's advice to use her. I hate the thought of writing a bad review, but I am compelled to. First of all, Inna's scheduling is a mess. My drop off and pick up dates and time were changed when she called and when I went to drop off my dress, another woman came in thinking it was her appt time. Second, I dropped off my dress in June and was scheduled to pick it up in September for my mid-October wedding. No fittings in between to make sure it is going well. At pickup, the dress was awful. It fit me worse than it did before. Inna blamed the dress, blamed LUV Bridal, and spent the next five hours (Yes, I was in her shop from 2pm-7pm) trying to fix the dress. I commend her attempt, but the skill to make the dress flow perfectly was not there. If the dress alterations were not going to work on me or were too difficult to execute, that would have been great to know at the FIRST appointment before I paid $750. To make matters worse, Inna had the audacity to say "it looks good from the front," as if my wedding is just a photoshoot and people will not see the rest of it. Then, I sat down in the dress to make sure I could and heard a large rip. Inna said, "that's just the lining." Well...I think I need the lining. I left way more passive than I should have, but by that time I was too hungry and tired to deal with it and she wanted me out of her shop, clearly. It was such a terrible five hours of her trying to fix it and compromising the dress and fabric. I have no confidence in the dress she had me leave with, and nothing was said to continue working on it or a referral to someone else who could. I ended up purchasing another wedding dress one month out from my wedding. I was extremely unhappy with my experience. There is a lack of feeling you are heard with Inna. She seems to do whatever she thinks is best. I'm so disappointed about it and out so much more money than I budgeted for. read more

I wish I could give her zero stars but all of these 1 star reviews couldn't be more accurate SHE'S EXTREMELY RUDE AND DISMISSIVE. she snapped at me if I didn't take her suggestions, saying "she was the seamstress" I didn't want straps they didn't look good. She wouldn't make it as tight as i wanted when i said it felt too loose. I didn't even get my shoes on to see how much needed to be hemmed before she blurted out my alterations would be $900. She clearly didn't want to do my alterations so she quoted a ridiculous amount so I would say no and leave. She tried to tell me she would have to open the top and adjust boning and alter the cups but if it was tighter my breast would've fit perfect im a 36DDD and it fit perfectly everywhere else it did not need as much work as she claimed it did. read more

DO NOT USE HER I can not emphasize that enough. If I could give her a zero I would. I don't' t write reviews . However, this was such a horrible experience during what is supposed to be a Happy time. When we went in for the fitting the dress looked horrible. It was puckered at the sides and in the back. She actually yelled at us when we pointed it out and blamed the dress maker. After two hours of working with her we finally got it looking good. She ruined the front of the dress. Instead of taking the lace off at the hem,as bridal dresses are made for, she cut the front of the dress straight across and ruined the whole silhouette. She ruined the dress!!!!!!! one week before the wedding !!!! She charged us $800.00 to take in the sides, bustle and hem. The hem cost $500 for her to cut and ruin it and then stitch it straight across. No other alterations were done. I could have done this at home with my own limited sewing skills. So disappointed in Inna. Such a sweet lady that totally took advantage of my daughter the bride. She paid $550 and a $50 tip on the second fitting for letting the wedding dress out, bustle and press. We were so excited to pick up the dress 8/4 and that quickly changed. It was smashed in the garment bag, was more wrinkled then we dropped it off. Then one of the seams was not sewed so she put the dress on the floor and hand stitched it. She told us we never paid for pressing. What we did wrong besides going to Inna's was not getting a written receipt of exactly how much and what we were paying for. She has broken my trust in people. Inna is the best! She had no problem with my complicated dress, and it turned out absolutely beautiful! You can tell that she loves what she does and is very skilled at it. She made several alterations for me- added on off the shoulder sleeves with elastic so they would actually stay on my shoulders and I could still move my arms- she removed excess material from the train, making it even more gorgeous and less heavy and bulky, and she of course hemmed to the perfect length. Went here to get some simple adjustments on my wedding dress. Inna disagreed on the bustle I wanted (which was very simple and beautiful, btw) and instead of explaining as to why, said she did not want to work with me and said I would look UGLY on my wedding day if I bustled the way I wanted. Yes, she said I would look UGLY on my wedding day, so sweet. I was by myself and she tried to bully me into doing it her way. She made me cry and I got out of there because the last thing I want is to work with someone like her. I am still shocked and horrified at her customer service. No one should be treated that way, ever, even if you disagree with their choice. The dress is mine and i'm the one that has to like it, not her. Furthermore, her pricing isn't that different from the "more expensive" options out there. Based on my experience, I would say the extra $100 is worth some basic humanity. read more

I'm pretty tall, and even though I had ordered the extra length version of my wedding dress it was still too short and the tailor at the bridal shop said there was nothing she could do. I was heartbroken. Then I found Inna! Not only did she take the time to find a beautiful lace to match the rest of my dress, and seamlessly increase the length, she did an incredible job with all of the alterations! Seemed nice to begin with for my daughters prom dress. The lady that owns the business told us to be there on a certain day to try it on after the alterations were to be done. She calls a day before and says I missed my appointment. Then thinking I made a mistake, tried to come in on a time that was good for her. Three separate times to attempt to pick up the dress she was not there.(when she clarified a the time)she was very, very rude the whole time, with the communications about picking up the dress. When we finally were able to pick it up, my father had to pick it up because my daughter goes to school during the day. When the dress finally made it back home- it was unfinished on the corner, a bead was hanging from the top, and is still to long for my daughter. Overcharged for a unfinished job! Not A Professional - Please don't risk it. Even if she does great work some of the time... do you want to risk being the one she doesn't do great work with? Surprisingly, after reading good reviews and being recommended by Celestial Bride, I had a horrifying experience with Inna and my wedding gown. The first visit went great, then all down hill from there. To sum up: she gave me back my wedding gown & it still didn't fit; she actually told me to lose an inch, rely on the humidity of Jamaica to stretch the fabric (because white satin stretches that much???), THEN TOLD ME THE BASIS OF MY COMPLAINT WAS "MY DISSATISFACTION IN MYSELF". Not the fact that I took my wedding gown to a tailor, paid $385 and got a gown back that still didn't fit. I had to take my dress to another tailor, a month before my wedding, who fixed the hem and bustle that Inna did and also let the dress out as it should have been done in the first place, and now it fits beautifully. No dissatisfaction in myself here. There is currently a BBB complaint on file, her responses filled with more lies than even my 6 year old niece tells when she gets caught doing something wrong. If you would like the details, let me know, I am more than happy to share the story if it will keep you from giving this person business. There are many more details to this experience, too many to share here. I urge all brides to save themselves from even the possibility of having the same experience I did. Inna's Discount Tailoring & Alterations Comes off so nice when taking your money. (She charges 100% up front) STEER CLEAR!!! & BEWARE!!! This woman is good for a hem. Anything other that that... GO SOME WERE ELSE!!! She charged top dollar ($430.00) to bustle the wedding dress. 1. At the end of the night the bustle strings were all over the dance floor, and the dress was hanging down. When I brought this to her attention, she stated that every dry cleaner she deals with tells her bustles stay. Denies any wrong doing. 2. The alterations she did on the mothers dress had the stitches showing on the outside of the dress clearly visible. When I brought this to her attention she started re sewing the dress with me in it! 3. The alterations done on one of the bridesmaids dresses left the once attached sash unattached and hanging off the bridesmaid. 4. She told another bridesmaid to wear a push-up bra so she would not have to alter the top of the dress. The dress was hanging off that bridesmaid. 5. & The #1 reason I write this reviewing asked her advise on sizing a bridesmaid who was going to be 7 months pregnant at the time of the wedding, she advised us to order a dress 3 sizes too big. She stated she could take it in, but could not work with a dress too small. She charged $55.00 to hem & $55.00 to take in the top. She ended up did nothing to the top at all. The top of the dress was hanging off of that bridesmaid. Inna was helping a new customer when I took that dress back. I told her I expected a refund for the unfinished work. She went in her back room, took out her purse, wrote a refund check, threw it on the counter and proceeded to help her new customer. I was referred to Inna through a friend. She fit me in to her busy busy schedule to get my wedding dress altered before she left for a vacation and before my wedding. The original dress that was shipped to me was too short. Inna was very supportive as I got on the phone and called the bridal salon in Chicago where I had purchased the dress. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not let this person alter your wedding dress! I went in alone as I had no one to go with me. She seemed very nice and helpful and I felt like I was in good hands. This was July 10th. Well, quite the contrary. I picked up my dress two nights ago (Sept. 8th) and I was in shock. Again I was alone as this was not a scheduled pick-up but she had already had my dress for several weeks. I was sure it would be perfect. She zipped me up and I knew immediately the bust-line stitching was wrong and the bustles were off. I questioned the hem and bustle and she sewed one bustle (a ribbon cut in half) in front of me and wrote numbers on the cut ribbons in pen and rushed me on my way. I didn't know what to say, but know I should have said something to her then..cried, yelled, something. This is my wedding dress and I am getting married in three weeks and she's already had it for two months. I just wanted my dress and to get out of there and hoped the material was not ruined. Wrong again. There are holes in the train of my dress where she haphazardly attached her ribbons(aka bustle) and more for ribbons she had previously stitched in. I didn't see the full damage until I was at home...in tears all night! There are at least five holes in my dress. FIVE. I'm hoping the steaming will hide it some. This was not altered in any type of a professional manner. I've since been to a new person who was shocked at the work and said I should ask for my money back. $500.00 is a lot of money.
