I'm a satisfied Monnick customer. As a customer I find the store easy to get in and out of. I purchase supplies that support the maintenance of my yard care equipment, and household repairs. I find the quality of the products they sell to be equal to or better than what you find at HD or Lowes. Great to hear they service equipment. I can see where it might be difficult with the fluctuation in demand to hire support staff. I'm not sure where else equipment service is available in the west suburban area in 2025. So many of these equipment maintenance stores have gone out of business. read more

Historically I relied on Monnicks for the one on one customer consultation, however the Sunday management lead , Gus was a big disappointment and a poor representation of what the store historically represents. I can't believe no one's reviewed the Monnick Supply in Framingham. i've been coming here for the past year and love it. i have a soft spot for small, local hardware stores. they have something that's been lost at your behemoth Lowe's or Home Depot. they also seem to carry a very wide variety of items, including random things like PC-11 (an epoxy i use occasionally) that for some reason the big box stores don't have. the prices are slightly higher, of course, but that's a premium i'm willing to pay for good service and knowledge. the staff is great and very knowledgeable, with a few older cranky dudes that think it's weird when a girl with pink hair comes into the store and actually knows what she's talking about. but over all, everyone is very friendly and willing to help and offer what they know. i have two minor complaints: they don't carry lumber, which really isn't their fault, given their small size. if they did carry lumber, i would never have any reason to venture into Home Depot or Lowe's ever again. also, the hours are a bit limiting. i'm not expecting them to stay open until 10 every night, but a few days of staying open until 7 or 8 would be very helpful. but still, i heart Monnick for ever and ever amen. read more

I made an appointment to have my snow blower picked up in first week of October.. I went to the store a week later and asked why there was a delay picking it up. I was told it had been picked up.. Nope still sitting at my house. They apologized and picked it up the following week and said 2 weeks and it should be ready.. 3 weeks later today I go to see when I should have it back. I'm now being told they haven't started working on it. I asked what about the others that were picked up the same week. Oh sir, those have been returned to the customers.. I asked why mine wasn't worked on? Oh. we are busy.. When will I get it back.. Oh sir maybe next week if we don't have to order any parts.. REALY??? The clerks were not very concerned or apologetic. Sort of like not my problem and let's move on.. I guess lesson learned.. read more

This is the place to shop as customer service is a high priority. They have what you need and know what they are talking about. Professional and courteous staff, and a full range of products right down to an individual screw or washer. They have almost everything. Many garden, construction and plumbing products as well. I purchased a $600.00 Snapper lawnmower at this location. While using it the first time the power drive function seem to cut out after a few minutes. I continued to cut my lawn pushing the mower. I brought the lawnmower back to the Framingham location and explained what happened, when I got a call the repair was complete I went to pick up the mower. They told me the cost was $90.00 because the mower drive belt mechanism was obstructed by grass causing the mechanism not to engage. I explained I was just cutting dry grass that was not that high. I paid the $90.00 and took the mower home. After about 3 more mowings the same thing happened. I called and talked to the location manager. I brought the mower in and they told me they would repair within a week. Now almost 2 weeks had passed and the mower is now ready for pickup. I went there and picked up the mower but not to notice that the large rear wheel cover was missing. At this point they told me they would order me a new cap. Now it has been 2 weeks and no new wheel cover and the mower has the same problem. Where do I go from here? read more

Neighborhood hardware store, on steroids honestly. They have everything - including exactly the snowblower we needed. The dude was super helpful, and you can tell he really cares about his customers and the product he sells. Gave us a full lesson on the blower - how to use it, how to care for it and double-checked to ensure everything was tuned up before we left the store. Excellent service! They have almost everything that you could possibly need! We purchased all of our lawn equipment from them and they also service the equipment. They give recommendations and there's a billboard inside with business cards of people who do handyman services and other services. We are so lucky to have the nearby!!!!! read more

One of those places you can go into and say I need a thing a ma jig for a whatcha call it and they know what you are talking about. That being said I have it 4 instead of five stars because the young kids who work the weekends don't have the same level of knowledge as the old salties who work there during the week. read more

Wide selection, but as the other reviews mention the service can sometimes be hit or miss. You can't exactly be sure that you'll get a knowledgeable and highly experienced employee: sometimes the younger associates aren't very helpful. Still better than Home Depot! read more

Monnick Supply is EXCELLENT. It's sort of hidden away, but it's on 135 between the Framingham train station and La Cantina / the T intersection with Winter St and 135, so not far from Ashland. It's an excellent, helpful, family-owned hardware store. They have all sorts of stuff, and if you tell them what you're trying to do, they'll tell you what you need to do it with. They also tell you what you don't need to buy, and why- very honest and expert. They also sell and refill propane tanks, so here's the place to get your gas grill supplies. Not only that, they checked out our old tank for safety and said it was still fine, AND they lugged it and put it in the trunk (I'm short and don't haul full tanks around easily.) Shop here and support small business- I like giving them my bucks, not the big chains. read more
