It's an old fast food restaurant that's now a local diner. Our server Alice/Allison? Was so sweet!!! Three of us order their BEC sandwich with either hash browns or the home fries which is what I got bc they were listed as seasoned potatoes. Which they were. Really well seasoned and great with added cheese and Texas Pete. The BEC part of the sandwich was perfect but then the toast was the fail because it was just cold dry toast. NO melted butter??? What is that? We're in the South, butter up my toast like the Waffle House!!! Support local and just be sure to ask for your toast to be buttered!!! ;-)

The floor was sticky.

My wife can't stand this place either. The place is clean and the presentation of the food looks great, but that's about it. I'm not exaggerating when I say their food is tasteless. I've tried them a few times just to be fair before judging them, but I have to say there are similar restaurants in Easley and Greenville that are better.

Move over lizard thicket...this is your competition. We ordered the special of the week, the c country steak along with the well, seasoned canned green beans, and the creamy mac & cheese. The country fried steak with its brown gravy was delicious. All of our food was super hot, and the waitress brought it to our numbered table. the service was gracious, and they checked back to see that our food was OK and whether we wanted a refill on our drinks. Zachary and GEORGE ordered burgers with french fries and onion rings. The burgers were not grilled, they were steamed. The fries and onion rings were crispy. George thought that the Batter was a bit too crispy and he couldn't taste the onion. On the other hand, Ellis and I thought the onion rings were crispy, hot and delicious. So if you want to know what we think, Ellis and I would say...order the house special of the week. George and Zachary say... best experience is looking at it in your rearview mirror. We had great fun writing our "four star" review.

I went in the Farmer's Market first. It looks like an old barn. There were lots and lots of homemade choices- "canned" soup bases, fruits, vegetables, salsas, jams, flavored oils to name a few. There were also fresh fruits, nuts, honey, vegetables, dairy products and cakes. There are four areas you can eat. The main "restaurant" is small with only a few tables. Evidently it's a favorite of older local gentlemen to gather for an early breakfast. There is also the "Pig Sty," "The Chicken Coop" and the farmer's market area. Some of these can be cold in the winter and warm in the summer so dress accordingly. The farmer's market area is heated by a wood stove. The staff here are so friendly. It felt like we were visiting family. The food was good ole country food. The hubby and I each ordered the breakfast plate. I had coffee with my choice of several flavored creamers. If you pay in cash you get a discount. If you are in the area you should check it out. You can order from the breakfast or lunch menu. Plan to stay a few extra minutes and look around and support local farmers. We brought home some boiled peanuts. Fun experience and good breakfast.
