Bait and switch. Zero stars. Had an ad on FB Marketplace for some Goodyear Tires. I asked if they had them in stock they said yes. (Ad is still up on FB Marketplace for these Goodyears). Asked for total out the door price and got a quote. Drove all the way from East Mesa to 40th Ave and Indian School. First thing I did was hand them my phone to see what tires and what price I was quoted. The first thing out of the dudes mouth was well that's plus the tax! I knew it was gonna go down hill from there. Then he says he doesn't have them in stock! Then tried to get me to buy tires that were $200 more than what I was quoted! Total BS. I should have read their ratings before I went there. What a waste of my time and gas. I will NEVER recommend them. read more

I've been a loyal customer of Monkey Wheels and Tires, having purchased from them before without any issues. But this most recent experience was an absolute disaster, and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone who values their time, money, or vehicle. I specifically called in as soon as they opened and spoke to an employee named Itzel. I told her clearly--and I mean clearly--that I needed 255/35 ZR19 tires for the front of my car. I know my car inside and out. These are staggered tires. Itzel confirmed the size, said she could order them from the warehouse, and I even paid in advance to speed up the process. She offered to call me when they arrived. That call never came. I had to call them myself to find out the tires had already shown up. When I got there, they quickly pulled off my old tires and rolled out the new ones... and that's when I noticed something was off. They had brought 255/35 R19, not ZR19. A totally different speed rating and construction from what I ordered. When I pointed this out, they casually told me "that's all they had." No apology. No accountability. Just a shrug. And then came the real insult--they said I couldn't return the tires even though they weren't mounted on the car yet, just the rims. I wasn't even asking for a refund. I was willing to pay more for the proper tires I wanted in the first place. But nope, they doubled down on their mistake. To make matters worse, Itzel told me I must've been wrong about my own tire specs. I literally keep all my vehicle receipts--all of them. I showed them proof. Still, no apology. No credit. No attempt to make it right. Just a complete disregard for the fact that their mistake cost me time, money, and trust. Here's the kicker--I have cameras at home that recorded the original phone call where I very clearly stated ZR19 multiple times. If any manager wants to review it, I'd be more than happy to share. But based on how this place operates, I doubt anyone there truly cares. Bottom line: This place doesn't take responsibility for their errors. They don't care about accuracy, and once they have your money, you're on your own. I'll never return, and I'll make sure anyone I know in the car scene steers clear too. read more

The name "Monkey Garage" couldn't be more fitting. If you don't believe me, just read the other reviews. This place is a complete joke. I found a set of wheels listed on Facebook, confirmed their availability through both Facebook messages and a phone call, and made the trip down--only to find out the wheels I came for didn't even exist. Instead of admitting their mistake, they tried to push a different set on me, as if I wouldn't notice. The whole operation is a mess. The shop looks like a glorified junkyard, with parts scattered everywhere and an overwhelming sense that most of what they sell is cheap, low-quality imports. I showed up expecting a professional transaction and left feeling like I had wandered into a swap meet for knockoff parts. As for the "shop" itself--if you consider a cluttered parking lot full of Harbor Freight jacks and cars sitting on dirt to be a legitimate workspace, then maybe this is the place for you. Personally, I'd rather work on my car in my own driveway than risk letting them touch it. I stayed polite, kept my cool, and walked away. I had made an appointment with them the day before & they assured me my tires would be in stock, I wouldn't have to wait long. first off get there on Time and they don't have my tires. Waited 45mins for them to get them from the "warehouse". After a long wait they roll one of my fresh installed tires on my New Billet rims and they had completely damaged the rim. the whole lip is scratched and now have some very deep scratches in the lips & spokes aswell. when confronted they treated my like crap. the owner mocked me and tried to talk down on me. they didn't want to assume any responsibility and in turn tried to be-little me. Horrible service! The whole service was about 2 1/2 hours maybe longer. No chairs for customers anywhere. They messed up our alignment AND one of our sensors to our truck. We went back to get it fixed and the lady's response was "that must've been from another shop" prior to getting this leveling kit, we got new tires but we have a paper from the certificate mechanic on the date of service showing our alignment along with other things to get the tires on showing everything was perfectly fine before. I have owned this truck for 3-4 years and it's very well taken care of with good miles. This shop messed up my vehicle and didn't own up to their mistakes. I will attach pictures below. Do not come here for ANY service, it's not worth it until you want to pay more to get other things fixed that they messed up. Now I have to go somewhere else to get this fixed and they won't even help whatsoever with this issue other than say "go to this place and you'll only pay". Scam scam scam people. These people even had young kids around 7-12 years old answering the phones and dealing with the customers. Very unprofessional, don't care for the customers, don't take responsibility for their actions. I'll attach below proof showing my alignment was fine with the company before this shady place touched it. Wanted to share my personal experience with Monkey Wheels & Tires to let people know that it was a pleasure doing business with them. I had a 6" lift installed on my 22 Ram truck with no issues. Install was done correctly and finished on time. Ram rides and looks amazing. Karime was who I dealt with during the entire process and she kept me informed in regards to the progress of the install. Karime is very knowledgeable in regards to what she does as she explained what needed to be done. I was skeptical about going to this shop due to the bad reviews but went ahead and had it done. Make no mistake...this is definitely no Discount Tire . Quite the opposite. Just like most of the other reviews, they definitely don't make the mistakes they make right. However, it's hard to beat the pricing. Just be forewarned, they will do little to make things right when a mistake is made. Here are the straight up pros and cons of doing business with these guys: Pros: -Pricing -They did a nice job on my tires and lift kit installation. Cons: -Not very professional. -Took much longer to complete the services than what they said. -Did not do the alignment as needed. However, they did give me $60 off because of it. -Lost my wheel lock key. Said they would either find it or remove them so they could be replaced. After 3 trips back, they did neither. As many people as I spoke with and called, I never heard a word. I finally went to Discount Tire by me and they got it done. -When trying to get assistance, it was hard to find someone who spoke English. Monkeys tires are not suitable for their line of work. They put families at risk by not completing their work appropriately. The lift kits are not secured properly and they do not check all components connected to the drive line that will be affected by the lift. We have a tired hub break while driving the second time after getting the truck back because they did not secure it correctly. We could have all died on the freeway. Then we towed the truck back to them to find out they are not responsible even though it's their work. They say they would fix it and ordered the part but upon picking up the truck snap crackle pop the same part broke again. They never fixed the broken part merely did a cheap weld and now stranded on the side of the road. Not only did they break my truck but rummaged through all my stuff and stole items from the compartments. This business should not be in business. read more

Some adds were 199 for 4 brand new tires.. Now I come here to Yelp, and see all the sad and disappointed peoples' reviews and I want to say thank you to yelp for sharing this sewage level of crap service and giving customers a painful experience and regret for coming these criminals.. Bought some brand new rims from a local company in Scottsdale and brought them here to get installed , along with some new tires that I purchased from this shithole located in skid row. They quoted me 30 minutes , and an hour later we went out back to see what was taking so long . They give us the price for wheels and tires for around 1600.00 but they change it by the cashier to almost 1700.00 My dad was there for 3 hours for 15 minutes job. I have collusion company and I do all type of mechanical but on that time we were short on wheel and made one of my biggest mistake to trust those guys. They tried to cut their job and not doing it right by not putting sensor( new wheels come with steam) and they tell my dad to go drive it for 30 miles.
