I came back here twice for the $19.99 ayce promo and found out that they make the fusion roll differently now. The Fusion Maki Roll and Torched Nigiri sushi comes drenched with spicy mayo and teriyaki sauce. Not only do they drizzle lots of sauce on top, but the sushi is also swimming in a pool of sauce on the plate. I don't think anyone would enjoy eating soaked sushi so I would recommend having an option on the Ipad to select less sauce/ no sauce. Everything else on the ayce menu is great, sashimi is fresh, beef cubes, salmon tataki etc. are all delicious. I will continue to come back as long as they have the $19.99 ayce deal. read more

2.7/5 in my opinion. Convenient and fast sushi. It's not authentic, but it's fun. The prices are cheap, but that does slightly reflect on the quality. Sushi will sometimes come with a little too much rice, and the quality of freshness (the octopus sashimi for me) is hit and miss. However, the service is very friendly, and the menu has some great items such as the rainbow roll and the "eel and avocado pizza." The place is good if you're in the mood for a cheap sushi and are very hungry, you just have to know what to get. read more

I placed an order yesterday evening at around 7:15 pm through there website. They sent an email confirmation that the food will arrive at 8:35 pm. At 9:00 pm I started calling the restaurant. I called them over 30 times and no answer. I totally understand if the restaurant is busy but you can't not answer your phone all evening. I also sent them two emails and no response. The food finally arrived after almost two hours. We told the driver to take it back. I don't want to know how cold the order would have been at this point. I ordered $50 worth of food. Then when I call back again I guess because the driver returned to the restaurant they finally answered the phone. A lady answered with 0 enthusiasm and 0 customer service just told me that they were busy. No apology or asking if they send out a fresh order to us. I just hung up the phone. If your restaurant is that busy apparently then maybe it would make sense to hire someone just to answer the phone. The sad thing is that the restaurant doesn't seem to care right now cause they were busy. Then they will complain when they have no business when more COVID restrictions are put in place. All I am asking is for some basic customer service. If you are running behind have the driver contact us and let us know what's going. I worked a 12 hr shift as an essential worker and placed an order while at work hoping to eat after a long day. Instead I ended up having to place a new order through Skip the dishes. read more

I stopped writing reviews because I feel bad but I gotta say I hadn't eaten sushi in a while and had a craving. I wrote a bad review about this place before and I fully knew what I was getting into but I thought after all these years they couldn't be in business if the quality didn't improve, boy was I wrong. I can't put my chop sticks on it but I'm guessing the sushi is pre-made somewhere else, I just don't know. The texture and taste is still off and I got dhiarea again. The only reason I write this is because these people are fucking with my health and I feel like after doing nothing for humanity my whole life I should at least warn somebody else. It's way cheaper than other places so if you're poor and on a first date and don't really care about the girl yet then order from this pace and you could semi-look like a baller. I bought sushi on SkipTheDishes. It was pretty value, but they said they would give me 4 pieces of each sushi, but there was only 3. But it was still like less than $1 per piece so it was kinda value. The presentation was pretty good and the the spicy mayo sauce was fire. Had the worst experience eating here today. First when my friend asked for her rolls to have no cucumbers in them they forgot to take out the cucumbers and second we had to wait more than 45 minutes for our food. The above two mistakes are understandable for a restaurant on a busy day. However, when we asked for the bill and got ready to pay, our server handed us the machine after selecting the 15% tip button himself. When we noticed we didn't get an option to choose the rate of tip and the tip was already chosen on the machine we asked our server and he said "this is Canada, you need to pay a minimum of 15% tip". I have lived in Canada most of my life and I have never heard of a mandatory 15% tip. Tip is optional depending on the service you receive and the service we received today was terrible. I still have a difficult time believing that he had the audacity to press the tip button himself before handing over the machine. What kind of sushi establishment uses regular (possibly fake) crab in their spider rolls? It was not good at all. I grew up in Markham and I know what good sushi tastes like. Tried this place twice since it changed from New Generation. First time, nothing special, but one person didn't get their food at all, and the restaurant was empty. The item was on the bill, so we had to ask for it to be removed. Not a big deal. Tried it for a second time, and same thing - mediocre food, and charged for an item that was not received. Another table near us had the same issue. Worse, the second time, the service was awful. Servers throwing plates down on the table, ignoring requests, just awful. I recommend skipping this place; there are much better sushi restaurants on the same strip. read more

Their wifi ordering system had a glitch when we ordered (unbeknownst to anyone) so we ended up waiting close to an hour before food came, despite following up a couple of times with different waiters after the 25 min mark. I don't think their system can accommodate any hiccups because once they figured out that the order hadn't gone through, had no control in expediting the food. I was too famished and had hunger pains once the food actually came out to really enjoy anything. Nothing offered to munch on at all except apologies to ease the famine - I was feeling faint at this point. Also, no free tea, no free soup, and no free ice cream compared to other places located in the vicinity. Would not recommend. read more
