Monkey Joe's was a popular party location during my generations childhood. Providing a family friendly arcade space, bounce houses, play areas, and party spaces. I hadn't been to this location in over a decade and now I'm coming with the toddlers in my family! It has not changed much in terms of set up, arcade games, etc. so it is in need of a renovation but she still had a fun time. You can visibly see the wear and tear on numerous machines and even the logo sign outside. We went right at opening and the hostess was welcoming, reminded us of all the safety rules, and we had the entire space to ourselves for a good 15 minutes before more families started trickling in. I especially liked that for security reasons they file each adult and child's name, plus everyone gets wristbands with matching numbers written by the hostess upon entry. $11 for an hour of play is a pretty great deal especially on International Drive. read more

We did our daughter later party here, for the price it's nice. The downside it's they don't allow outside food (even if you pay fee), they just had pizza that we thought would be really bad, but at the end were good. Just would be perfect if they accept food from outside, so we won't offer pizza. read more

We attended a birthday party at monkey Joe's. There were many different activities for kids from games to jungle gyms, to inflatables. They also have a toddler area for 3 and under. Overall, the place seemed pretty clean. The private room for the party was spacious and able to hold 20+ people (children & adults). The had a small selection of food, mostly items suitable for children. The only complaint I had is they have their mascot go around as well as in the private rooms and the costumes was visibly dirty. My kids chose Monkey Joe's for their birthday outing because it's crazy fun for all ages, but Sharice went above and beyond to make sure each point was an unforgettable experience. A few attractions were down, but there were also bonuses like a basketball game that let us shoot hoops without swiping a card over and over. My four-year-old was invited to a birthday party at monkey Joe's. It definitely provided a space for the kids to have lots of fun and get out lots of energy. The music is a little loud, and the loud speakers are not the best quality so the music wasn't very enjoyable even though they were great songs playing for the kids to dance to. Very age appropriate music. The party package came with pizza and a drink, and a goodie bag and entrance for the kids. I'm not sure what the rates are on a normal basis. I do recommend it if you need a place inside and away from the heat. That was a plus....the AC was nice and cold! One knock on the rating scale would be the ceiling, not sure if it was an accumulation of dust or just exposed installation or a mixture of both but it's not pretty. The staff were all very friendly and extremely helpful. We are adding this to our list of toddler adventure possibilities. There is plenty to do and they make good use of the space. read more

I visited monkey joes this weekend and did not have a pleasurable experience. We specifically went for a birthday party celebration. Mr. Monkey Joe (the character) did not look like he was enjoying what he was doing. He was not welcoming and happy to be around children. I expected a bit more enthusiasm. Let's talk about the conditions and poor management this place shows. Chair arm rests were broken or non existent, carpet was BEYOND dirty in this facility. Look at the random crates I found full of dust. The food took forever to come and it came in different portions with chicken tenders coming like 5 minutes before party was over. Not to mention they practically kick you out at the designated time to allow time for the next party. We were here for a 4 year old birthday party. Place is packed with moms and dads watching their kids. For a birthday party it is priced well. We had one server and he was attentive. They would need people behind the counter during peak times. It was clean. Some machines were not working when we were there. Came here for a birthday party recently and it was a great experience. The checked us as we walked in on a list and we were free to have fun. My son who is 1 1/2 loved this place as much as the 4 year old birthday girl so I would say it's great for a variety of ages. There are so many bounce houses, slides and even a toddler area. My son really loved the big play area with the foam pit and lots of crawling tubes. They also have lots of arcade games which aren't included in entry but still neat. This place feels very safe. The party room was nice. Staff were attentive. They were in tune with what the birthday girl wanted. She didn't care to see monkey joe. They provided pizza and drInks with the package. I was dissapointed their food prices were so high for low quality and they didn't have wings ( the only thing I can eat on the menu). Upon arrival you're required to sign a waiver, adult or child, this is standard in these places. Just FYI you could have opted to complete it via online as to not delay the process. We were a party of 25-30. The concept of this place is there, but the facility, the staff, the cleanliness needs work. The Monkey Joe that greets the kids needs a good dry cleaning the costume was filthy. The security system of colored wristbands needs updating. There are not enough security measures in place to keep your children safe and from walking out with someone else. This location gets packed and the lack of safety measures needs to be revamped. Let's discuss the party rooms, the closed in green room was a hot box, a breading ground for germs, you are provided one floor fan that does not circulate the very hot, stuffy air. It's unsafe for kids being so low to the ground or as it was placed on a chair by the host. The air in the main area works great but, they need to contact an AC company to fix the temperature in the party rooms, it's unacceptable with the price you pay. We brought our own cake and treats. You are not provided anything but one cheese pizza and kids drinks, plus and tap water tiny dispenser. They were out of veggies for the veggie pizza, they were out of wings. The host asks you what drinks the adults want but then brings empty cups and you have to go the the counter for a drink. Why ask then? For the amount of money spent which was a few twenties away from $500 they have to be able to do better. No tokens for the games for the kiddos, this just seemed very off. The toddler area needs improvement. The kicker was our host, who was also a lead hands me a paper, which was a handwritten survey about his service and a line for "tip" (handwritten scribble folks). This is so unacceptable it's 2022 who is monitoring these surveys and this is not the way to get one completed. This entire experience was extremely disappointing. It was so dirty inside that place we could only stand being there 40 mins...there was clear mold on the ceiling, my daughter and I left sneezing, coughing and couldn't breathe (both have asthma). The kids equipment was dirty and looks like it has never been cleaned. It's a great option for burning off energy by bouncing to their hearts desires. however although it can get a bit crowded, especially on weekends, the staff generally does a great job of maintaining as well with ensuring a safe environment for all. I went to Monkey Joe's for the first time to celebrate my granddaughter's 6th birthday, big mistake. That place is horrible. The staff act like they didn't want to be there. No one smiled one time. The bouncy house was dusty and most of the games were broken. They were out of some food items and didn't ask us did we want something different. The pizza was burnt and the young boy that served us act like it bothered him bcuz I asked for mustard. This was our 1st time going, took the kids for Xmas and it was a complete mess very dirty everything is falling apart, about 75% of the video games were broken no size they just take your money and don't work, not one employee looked happy to be there they all looked miserable and rude, one was even standing next to the pirate ship sleeping!!! Their menu is 80% fried food which they were out of so our option for food was pizza or a small bags of chips and thankfully the guy in line next to me told me how awful the pizza was! The whole place looks extremely cheaply run, all the bounce houses are extremely dirty, cubes in one house looked like they haven't been changed in years and they desperately need to be, pieces were falling off and all over my kid's clothes, someone painted the bathroom and literally dropped pint all over the floor and couldn't take 5 mins to wipe it up? Like come on the owner should be extremely ashamed of themselves! The ceiling was covered in inches of dust wish I got a picture of that, the games that were working were falling apart and held by pieces of white duck tape! I honestly could go on and on, I was in shock at how bad this place was especially for the price :/ Not only that but besides the one sleeping employee there was no one watching the floor and there needed to be kids were running around like crack heads knocking little ones down (including my little 3 year old) and were pushing kids and pulling down the bounce houses! There was SEVERAL "kids" bigger then me (I'm 4' 10") in these small toddler areas with signs saying 3 and under just being so very aggressive and destructive no parent in sight!!! There should at-least 1 or 2 employees walking around keeping an eye on everything! I saw so many bounce houses almost collapse because of the teenagers pulling them down, so unsafe!!! The couple employees they had working were joking around by the front of the arcade playing games! One cashier up front that was it! Kind of felt like I was in the apocalypse and it was free for all with no rules no one caring! My kids love this place! The employees are generallly friendly and there is plenty to do for hours of fun with kids.. For Florida residents on tuesdays it's $5 per kid and on Wednesdays it's buy one, get one. My kids love it! The only reason I give it four stars is because of the lack of stalls in the bathroom, the changing table blocks one completely, and one door doesn't shut properly. The second reason is that I give it four starss is because if they're busy you can be stuck in line for a long time due to poor organization and execution of their safety measures.. I do, however, like that they check your children's bracelets to yours before you leave to ensure no one walks off with a kid that isn't their own. read more

My kids had a nice experience but their were many problems. This is only my second time going. The toddler sections puzzle padding on the floor was very dirty. By the end of the hour we were there their socks were black. One of the main bounce houses was closed. They blocked it with a chair which could be a hazard. The bathrooms were not clean and some of the arcade games were broken. I noticed on many of the inflatables they need Maintenance. Also they closed the bathrooms off 45 minutes early. Where to begin.... First I was charged the wrong price because the cashier was new and didn't know "how the buttons work." I was never refunded the money the incompetent cashier took. Next. It's Nasty. Smells like a high school locker room. Ceiling is covered in dust inches thick. Bounce houses are disgusting. My wife ended up with a rash on her arm from what I assume was the filth on their equipment. Bathrooms have urine all over the floor which your kids and everyone else's kids walk in with their socks (You can't wear shoes inside) then run back out onto the bounce houses with their urine soaked socks which cost 3 dollars each. If social distancing is your thing.... Just don't come. That's not a thing here. Then there's the kids.... Most of which are not supervised at all. Running around like tweakers in a meth house. Completely out of control. Hurting each other and other kids who are actually following the rules. Finally, this place is located in a strip mall that looks partially like a ghost down due to all the closed businesses. Guys walking around this "mall" flashing their gang colors. Won't be back. Monkey Joe's reminds me of a place I used to go as a kid called Fun Factory. It's basically a giant playplace where little ones can run around and get their energy out. The Good: Lots to do: The place is fairly big and there are plenty of obstacles and slides for kids to run around and play on. This place is aimed at the preschool age kid sect, so if you are doing errands with a little one in tow, this is a great place to take them. Parents can chill:There's a nice little parent lounge here where you can take a load off and watch your kid bounce around. The Bad: I have to pay for this?: honestly, I don't really frequent these places because there is ALWAYS a park nearby that is free, and has the added benefit of sunshine. I really just don't like the idea of paying of my kid to jump around on a big playground, and if your kids really want to run around indoors you can just grab a fruit and yogurt parfait for $1 and turn them loose on the McDonald's PlayPlace (some of these are quite huge) I probably wouldn't invest much time at this place, just because I am such a cheapskate at heart, but it is a nice solution for busy parents who need a place to chill while their kids run around Personally I prefer going to the park, but I guess that's just me... Small Fry was able to attend an appreciation event, where the entire facility was bought out by her orthodontists office. So, it wasn't very crowded and the few staff that were there were very attentive. She enjoyed her time there immensely and was a giant sweaty & tired mess by the time we left the facility This Monkey Joe's doesn't seem as large as the ones in other parts of town, but had enough variety to keep her entertained. There is also a separate section for little ones under 4. Although there are chairs set up everywhere for parents to sit, it is nearly impossible to keep track of your child as they bounce from area to area like a pin ball! Anyone over the age of 12 are not allowed on any of the bouncy areas. That's good and bad... Good so your child doesn't get bounced over by bigger people, but bad if your child is stuck, or is freaking out, and needs help! The only drawback was that there were no security precautions in place. It seemed that your child could walk out the front door, alone or with a stranger, with relative ease. I would feel more comfortable if they had a hand stamp system/security check like another very popular child venue. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! I will never return to this establishment. I reserved a party room for my Daughter's Birthday from 4-6pm. Upon arrival at 4:10 the room was trashed from the previous party. No biggie, let's just clean up and have fun. The host was apologetic and offered to extend the reservation since it wasn't ready on time. Okay great thanks! My guest arrived and started to play. Placed the order for pizza, chicken tenders, and french fries. Cheese on the pizza came out a little burnt but edible and no French fries. Not too long afterwards one of my party guests came into the room crying because another child slapped her. The mother of the child immediately notified the party host and was advised that the little boy had been hitting other children all afternoon and they had notified the child's parent. My guest walks over to the mother to engage in conversation about the situation. At which time the mother gets up to find her son. As she is locating her son, the little girl goes into the bounce house to get her little sister and comes out hysterical because the same boy kicked her in her stomach. Both mothers engaged in a verbal argument regarding why her son is hitting other children when the manager Andrew walked up and told my guest to "Get the F*ck Out". No effort was made to deescalate the situation, to determine what had caused the conflict. Nothing. He walked up and immediately got into my guest's face and told her to get out. My party host and several other staff members immediately interjected and advised Andrew that he was wrong in his approach and had told the wrong guest to leave, to which he responded "I don't give a F*ck". I immediately directed my guests and their children back into the party room and began to pack up my things. I requested for the party host to refund my deposit as we were all leaving the establishment. The host was very apologetic, issued my refund, and provided the necessary parking validation for my guests. My daughter's party was RUINED. But it gets worse, upon my arrival home, I started to receive notifications to approve several $400, $300, $200 transactions from online retailers. As I was logged into my account to deactivate my card another notification was received (Thank God for fraud protection). To add continued insult to injury on Tuesday when I called this wonderful establishment to file a complaint, the phone was answered by Andrew, whom proceeded to tell me that there was no other manager above him. I told him that I needed to speak with the General Manager or the Owner to file a complaint against him for his behavior on Sunday as well as the staff because someone stole my credit card information. Andrew says "Is this one of the party guests? Mike isn't here". No apology for his behavior and foul disrespectful language, no apology for his staff stealing my card information. Absolutely no effort to rectify the situation. Limited bounce houses as some were deflated, more than half the games machines didn't work, No attempts to escort guests out after receiving complaints about their child assaulting other children, burnt pizza, missing food, disrespectful management, staff stealing credit card information. Upon arriving you pay an entrance fee per child, fill out a waiver, and receive wristbands for all in your party. Then, you're free to roam the play area filled with bounce houses and arcade games. There are employees on hand to supervise children, but they don't do a good job as their teens themselves; supervise your own children. There are a few separate bounce houses for children under three, but the occasional older child does tend to run in. Parents are allowed to accompany children under three into these designated bounce houses. Kiosks are available to purchase, and reload, Monkey Joe's Play Cards; the kiosks accept cash and credit cards. You'll need a Play Card for the arcade games. At the end of each game you're awarded virtual tickets, to redeem for prizes. Their prize selection is pretty varied and decent. There are party rooms located around the play area and can be reserved for birthday parties. There is a dining area where you can buy food, drinks, and ice cream treats. On my last visit I finally ate there and I was not at all impressed. I received my order of cheese sticks and thought, " no marinara, no dipping sauce at all?" Maybe they just forgot to give it to me? I figured, "what the heck" and ate them plain. Next came the practically burnt slice of pizza. I didn't bother to complain as I didn't expect much anyway. This location does need to do some updating- the pirate ship bounce house was closed and more than half of the arcade games don't work. I've got to applaud this place. The number of bouncy houses is incredible. There is an area in the back that is designated for kids under the age of 3 with a couple age appropriate bouncy houses. For the bigger kids the bouncy houses have stairs to climb to access super safe slides, perfect to tire out your older toddler. I went on a Friday afternoon around 4pm and it wasn't busy at all which was great. Apparently the weekends are the busiest time. The cost is $12 per kid, adults are free. The restrooms are in the back and are clean. There are also hand sanitizer stations on the walls around the place and massage chairs for adults (at a cost). If you want to throw a party for your kid, they can do that too. If you want to play arcade games you'll need purchase a Fun Card which you can do at a kiosk in the center. Every game requires a different amount credits but for $5 on the card I got about 5 swipes at a claw game which was on the cheaper side of games. If you get hungry, there is a counter to order food though we didn't because we were approaching the dinner hour. I placed $20 cash into machine. There was an option to purchase $10 worth of "bananas" (game currency) but it took my whole $20 and would not refund me. There is fine print on the machine that says no change is given for cash. After speaking with the manager (some young kid) he could not refund my $10 or give me credit of any sort. My 5 year old son loved Monkey Joes. He could not stop talking about it at the school for the next week. However I prefer the one in Winter Park. That one I can sit in the center and watch my son. This one I have to follow him around to make sure he is OK. This one has fewer people so he could go into any of the bouce houses whenever he wanted. He loved the pirate ship. I am not a fan of the games in the center. If I wanted to go to an arcade I would have taken him to one. I did not pay the money for the card. My son was satisifed just pretending to play the games. Welcome to the monkey house. This one is for the kids. Where else can get out of the house , get around a bunch of strangers, and jump around like a caffeine induced psych patient on speed. Bounce, jump, run, climb, duck, dodge, eat a whole box of pizza throw it all up watch some total stranger get on their hands and knees to clean it all up (muah hah hah), then do it again. Just drop the grown ups off at the old people area in the front, then go nuts. They'll be OK there's a TV and recliners. Want to have a party then rent a room and make Daddy pay for it, no biggie. Play some games, run in circles, make the high schooled kids in referee shirts chase you, get in trouble, call daddy, cry, get out of trouble. Go to the bathroom and shut off the lights so the poor man at the urinal pisses everywhere (I'll find that little bastard). Then hurry up and tell Mommy and Daddy you want to go home, oh they'll be ready to, trust me. All in all not too bad, and it will only set back the old folks 30 bucks for the three of you. read more

I went to Monkey Joe's about 5 years ago and it was located in a closed down outlet mall. My son (then 1) had a great time. I decided to give Monkey Joe's another try. I joined their e-mail club and got a buy one get one welcome coupon. This place is located in Pointe Orlando. It is hidden in the corner on the left side of Hollister. When I walked in I was surrounded by screaming, happy children. The check-in line was pretty long. When it was my turn to check-in I presented my coupon and easy peasy $14 later we were off to the chaos. There are plenty of bounce houses around for the children to jump until they are about to pass out. There are several video arcades and games around for the game heads!! The kiosk to obtain a game card was inoperable so I had to go to the front desk where there were impatient children waiting to get prizes. There was only one associate working this area. Poor lady, however, she handled it like a boss!! I would recommend this place moving into a bigger area therefore you won't feel smothered by the children running you over trying to get to the next bounce house or other entertainment that awaits. They also offer birthday parties, which a few of them were going on....nice....BUT step it up a little MJ!! read more

They are now located at the other end of international drive by the Rosen resort. I have taken my daughter here many times and she loves it. It's got lots of moonwalk slides and obstacles for children up to 12 and is only $7 per child. It is air conditioned and indoors which is a life saver in the summer with a variety of arcade games and prizes and fast service food and snacks. The only downside is if you come on the weekend expect it to be PACKED with kids and birthday parties. They don't have enough staff on the weekends to enforce safety and rules as my daughter being only 3 is a lot smaller than most of the kids and gets trampled a lot on the slides and sometimes the bigger kids will horse around on the 3 and under moon walks unattended. The upkeep of this location is terrible. The staff is rude. The bathroom is dirty and all of the stall doors are broken and unable to lock. Don't eat here either it's impossible for employees to wash their hands after using the bathroom. All of the soap dispensers are broken and they have no hot water. Parent's can breathe easy by allowing their children to come here whether it's for a family outing, birthday party or after school program activity. You can either join in with you kids and be a kid yourself again, or sit and check, watch TV or read book. If you have kids who are several years apart, there's need to fret because something for them too. There is a designated "big kid" area where they can feel grown up and still have fun in their own way while their younger brother(s) and sister(s) do their own thing as well. Aside from having fun and buring out pent up, excess energy, the creator of Monkey Joe's developed the concept to provide an outlet for kids to exercise and stay healthy while also having fun at the same time. We were visitors from California and needed to kill some time. We came here the last hour of the day, and the most definitely unenthused staff didn't tell us that they were closing, but gave us a card for a visit another day. Which... well, how are we going to use that? My son had fun jumping in the eight bounce houses which were nearly empty at that point, so that's a plus. Someone mentioned the parking validation, and yes, that is definitely a great deal. This place is also easy to find. read more

This place gets 1 star for effort because they are the only inflatable place in Orlando and 1 star because they validate parking which is expensive so I'm glad they do it. Most of the inflatables are in Desperate need of repairs or replacement. One of the inflatables has a huge hole in the middle the first time we went it was just open after that it was taped together seriously people at least splurge on a patch. Parents are not supposed to go on the inflatables but I ignored this rule And no one said anything. We are new to the area and I guess we were spoiled by our local pump it up were the inflatables were kept in good shape and everyone was encourage to bounce. With all of that said we still go every now and then because we have 3 yo twins and they need to burn energy. If the place was better we would go a lot more. read more
