I enjoyed admiring the stately home and walking the lush grounds with oak and cypress trees, blooming flowers, and landscaped lawns. The property has a beautiful view of the scenic Lake Jessamine. A walk down a brick pathway takes you to a romantic white gazebo which is the site of many weddings. The food was exceptional. there was a buffet where the food was very good and for my vegetarian husband and me, two vegetarian dishes were served by a wait person at our table and it was absolutely delicious. It had to be special ordered in advance but there was no extra charge. The chef they have must be amazing to have served such a creative dish. We weren't told what it was so I can't say, but I'll post a photo of it. It was cooked perfectly. Parking was plentiful. the venue is on the second floor. There were two staircases plus an elevator that is located next to the rear of Foxtail coffee. My only reservation is that during the cocktail hour, it would have been nice to have additional seating options and more tables to stand at and eat the hors d'oeuvres.
