We took our 5- and 3-year-olds to the Crayola Experience Orlando on a weekday and arrived right when it opened. There was already a short line, but the staff was friendly, and we got inside without much trouble. Since we'd never been before, I do wish there had been a little more explanation of how everything worked, especially the coins and which activities were included with admission versus which ones cost extra. The kids had a great time. There are a huge number of activities, and most of them are easy enough for young kids to figure out without much instruction. Ours especially loved the tablets with games and the giant Lite-Brite. They also spent some time on the playground, but lost interest once some bigger kids started playing pretty roughly. There's honestly so much going on that it can become a little overwhelming. After a couple of hours, it got fairly loud, and we were all ready for a break. The cafe had a limited food selection, especially if you're looking for something higher in protein, but reentry made it easy to work around. We went to the mall food court for lunch and then came back for a while. The gift shop is excellent and has a lot of creative products you don't normally see. I'd definitely go again, especially now that I understand the layout and how everything works. read more

Parent Rating = 3 Kid Rating = 5 (which is I guess is all that matters) The Crayola Experience is a great place to keep your entertained on a rainy day! Everything is indoors and even though the space is massive it is not overly crowded which is great. Favorite activities included: - Glow in the dark wax painting - Creating and naming your own crayon - Decorating your own Scribble - Selfie and photo stations everywhere (my daughter especially loved the sketch bots) - And of course the gift shop! We were able to get discounted tickets off Groupon. We spent about three hours there. read more

We're in Orlando for my daughter's dance competition and I saw this was not too far so we decided to go. The place is at Florida mall and it is huge. I got her tickets to the slime lab where she got to make her own slime, she made glitter tattoos, sand art and had a token to create her own crayon wrapper. We also had a voucher to get a scribble scrabble toy. If we had more time , I would have let her do more activities, but for what we did, she had an amazing time. My inner child was in heaven as well. read more

My almost two year old son had such a blast here. He loved everything and he could have stayed longer if we didn't have something to do that day. Two hours he flew by! I loved all the different stations and I felt the $25 admission price was well worth it. He made his own crayon, took pics to color, did play dough to then turn into a movie clip, loved the glow in the dark paint and chalk area. It was nice they had a small play area inside as well! The staff were super friendly and if you're military the service member get free admission. read more

The business is attached to a mall and due to the bright crayons colors it was reasonably easy to find. Parking was free and easy with a lot of spots nearby. We arrived mid week and there was no line. Not sure if there is more of a hustle on the weekend. There are a few things to do such as a label experience, a drawing experience, and a crate gym. Food is similar to a movie theater (popcorn and candies). Staff was kind & patient. I don't think it was worth $30 per person for one day. But it is worth $40 for an annual pass. Extra bonus : FREE for military year round. Military friends /family that come with the member get $5 off per person. read more

Take your kids here. Take your students here. Teachers get a free annual pass and trust me when I say it's worth it. From labeling your own crayons, to wax painting, to jungle gyms... and MORE, there is something for everyone. And teachers... facts EVERYWHERE, not just about crayons, but colors, and visible light. I think I enjoyed it more than my son! read more

My kids are 2 and 5 years old and we had such a blast exploring the Crayola Experience! The line to get in was ~20mins long, but once we got in there was SO much to explore. Lots of crafts to make out of different materials, customizable coloring pages, and fun activities for kids of all ages. Our kids loved the drip art, scribble scrubby area, chalk section, and crayon molds. Between crafts, they got their energy out in the playground areas (there are 2 age-based climbing structures). There is also a snack/beverage counter in the middle. We spent 2 hours here and there was still a lot we didn't get to explore (but kiddos needed a nap). Worth the price a the perfect rainy day activity for our family! read more

YELP DELETED MY FIRST REVIEW but I stick by my story that they did my boy dirty by making him look like Bobby Hill. The place is fine if you get a season pass and need to get out of the Orlando heat on every single day of summer vacation. They also have a security guard using a wand on every single person even though the metal detector wand turned off because that guy certainly didn't notice all the rare earth metals I keep in my cargo pants. We came here to celebrate my daughter's birthday again this year, we checked in at the front and headed upstairs and to our surprise as soon as we walked in it was hot! We already had drove out so we stayed for a while, but it was getting to the point where we were sweating. We did talk to one of the employees and asked what was going on with the AC and they said that it was running, but wasn't strong enough for the heat wave that is currently happening in Florida. This place is a lot of fun for the most part getting to make crayons playing at the play places all kinds of activities for the little ones. And if they get hungry, they do have a café and a little snack area. But honestly, the heat ruined my experience this time around. I didn't wanna stay longer than we had too. When we enter the mall it was the same so we ended up, leaving all together. read more

When you walk up to the ticket counter, they don't inform you of other deals that are online and they don't offer online deals at the self service kiosk or at the desk We went because it was a rainy day and we had family in town. We went with teens 13 to 16 thinking we would be there for two hours tops. Five hours later we had to literally pull our kids away to go So they have so much to do from naming your own crayons, making a mold and all sorts of coloring activities It's family, friendly concessions are their little café is quite expensive Staff is extremely friendly and it's clean. They have people that walk around wiping off services and cleaning up any mess left over. Our kids enjoyed the naming your own crayon portion, the most, and you can always buy more tokens read more

Be colorful , be you , and create ! This place is absolutely amazing and I highly recommend for children of all ages. Huge indoor play place where kids can run around, play in large play houses, create their own crayons , art work , markers, coloring pages etc. You can purchase a one day ticket, annual pass and if you're a teacher. You get a free teacher pass ! I purchased an annual pass for me and little one since she comes here weekly with her grandparents and I had just as much fun being a kid again as she did and we stayed almost 5-6 hours ! They have food, ice cream , sweet treats and drinks available for purchase and don't worry, if you don't want to climb stairs , they have elevators and tons of places To sit while the kids wonder. ( air tags come in handy ) Hands down better than most Orlando indoor places for kids for the value and service and we will be here often. read more

This place is awesome! We'd go here all the time if we lived closer. We took my four year old, and he had an absolute blast. As did I! We loved making crayons, playing with the markers, the self portrait thing, etc! And my son loved the playground. I wish there were better snack options, but still 5/5 stars from me! read more

Have seen this in the Florida Mall so many times and a holiday deal was going on and we decided to finally do it. Its definitely geared toward kids and was sort of like a playground for them. With your admission you get to make some melted crayon art, a crayon wax figurine, name a crayon after yourself amd they do spots where you can take selfie and it prints out coloring pages. Oh and you get a free scrub critter, I forgot what its called but basically a little cat or dog and you can color on it and then it washes off like new. It was interesting and if you have kids they will absolutely love it. The things were fun, but with the amount of screaming kids it's not a place I'd go back to. read more

I was pleasantly surprised with how much I enjoyed the Crayola Experience. We were a party of six adults and two children and yes, the adults enjoyed it just as much as the kids. We pre-purchased our admission online and had a discount code to save 25%, which is a great bonus. Check-in was a breeze, they gave us a bag with our tokens and a scavenger hunt form and then we proceeded upstairs to all the activities. We all used one of our tokens to create a personalized wrap for a crayon in the color of our choice. We then watched a video on how crayons were made, which was very interesting. Other activities included creating personalized coloring sheets, making a crayon in different shapes like a car or emoji and spin art. It was decorated in a Halloween theme and there was a scavenger hunt however we did not do it. There is a small café with light bites, we got a large pretzel, no one enjoyed it, I think it was supposed to be soft and it was not. We spent about two hours at Crayola, but could've spent more. And of course, we exited through the gift shop which has a lot of colorful and unique Crayola items. It is in the Florida Mall so if you have energy after enjoying Crayola, you can do some shopping. read more

A solid place for kids of all ages as there are so many activities as well as seasonal specials all year long. The annual pass is a really good value for just a little more than the price of a regular admission ticket. I like the colorfulness of the place as well as different play areas. I took off 1 star because food and beverages are extremely expensive. The price of a coffee or specialty drink is between $3-$7 and it's such a small quantity. But overall a nice day idea for kids and families read more

$50 for an anual pass sound reasonable until you find out you as the adult also have to pay $50. My kid is 4 years old and I would have no interest as a 33 year old man to do a single thing in here. They know we can't have our kids go in there unattended so it seems a bit disingenuous pricing wise. Oh and it's about to be July so buying the anual pass isn't really anual. read more

Crayola Experience: proof that growing up is optional, but coloring is forever. The Crayola Experience is where you get to admit the truth: you're a grown adult who still loves crayons. And that's okay, because here it's celebrated. It's part children's museum, part art studio, and part fever dream of a 64-pack box come to life. History check: the Orlando location opened in 2015 at The Florida Mall (yes, a mall -- which means you can follow up your art adventure with Auntie Anne's pretzels). Crayola's been making crayons since 1903, but here they turned nostalgia into an entire theme park for creativity. It's a good value alright. A break your wallet takes if your done with the mouse. So, it's welcome break and great for creative couples and families. You can name your own crayon, melt and mold wax into funky shapes, star in your own coloring page, and basically run wild through dozens of hands-on activities. There's a giant playground, craft stations, and enough melted wax art to make you feel like Picasso with a sugar rush. It's marketed for kids, sure, but let's be real -- every adult is secretly there for the same reason: to relive the pure joy of cracking open a brand-new box of crayons. The best part? You walk out with your own customized crayon souvenirs, proof that yes, you too can color outside the lines and call it art. Anthony Bourdain would've wandered through, rolled his eyes at the chaos of children with wax-stained fingers, then quietly pocketed a custom crayon with his name on it and said: "Sometimes being a kid again is the point." Bottom line: Crayola Experience is loud, messy, colorful, and joyful -- exactly what childhood feels like. If you're a kid at heart, you'll love it. If you brought actual kids, they'll love it even more. read more

I was hesitant to pay the admissions fee thinking it was a little expensive, but it was so worth it to go with our son. 2 and under is free, and they also have senior discounts. We definitely thought it was worth the money and will absolutely go back! Admissions comes with two tokens each and a coupon for a little figure the kids can color on. You can use the tokens for a personalized crayon and Magic Model clay packs. They have a lot of crafts and activities included with admission, like spin art and modeling crayons. You can also print endless personalized coloring sheets. Food was actually decently priced. Will absolutely go back! read more

We had a great time at Crayola Experience with our 2.5 year old twins. The activities are fun, and the twins especially loved the drip art & melt and mold. They have 2 play areas, one for kids under 5 and other for kids over 5. It's always a hit with my kids. We got the annual pass for us and kids under 3 are free. Although the twins enjoy going there, they don't do all activities. I am sure they will enjoy more in a couple of years. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that it can get a bit crowded, making it hard to enjoy some activities without waiting. Overall, it's a good place for kids and a fun way to spark creativity! read more

SERVICE: The service was OK. There was nobody outstanding except for one young lady. Her name was Morgan and she was incredibly sweet and relaxed, and helped out anybody who needed it. The rest of the staff seemed to not know what they were doing and we're a bit nervous when I asked a question. I'm thinking it's because all of their staff is very young, but I didn't feel as if I could rely on the staff to resolve any issues or answer questions by themselves without having to contact another person to help them answer it. SELECTION: This place is very stimulating, so know that ahead of time. There are a lot of hands-on activities that kids can engage with from making their own crayons to painting small images with melted crayons turned into wax, drawing pictures, and other little activities throughout the place. Every family should know that this place is very stimulating and there are kids everywhere and it's like a big giant open space with different sections or area areas for different activities. Overall, it was really cute and our kid loved it and enjoyed himself a lot. VALUE: Teachers get a free annual membership pass, which I think is great. For the amount of stimulation and hands-on activities I think the price is fair with what they offer. read more

If you have kid kids aged 10, need to get out of the house but out of the heat, this is a perfect place. There is a ton to do here. I easily stayed 2 hours but could've done 2 more. $27 (if you pay online) for ages 3+ but $40 for annual pass. All the workers I interacted with there were very kind. After paying, they give you two tokens to spend on various items and a bag to hold all your goodies. You can always buy more tokens too. Strollers are allowed. You can also park them upstairs. There are elevators and stairs. Place to pick a crayon and name it any color you want (e.g. on a blue crayon named "Heather's Pretty Blue Eyes"). These take 1 token per crayon. They have shows throughout the day with a schedule posted. Playground for 2-4 years. My 18 month old went on and was fine. And a bigger playground for the big kids. Tablets to create characters. Multiple photo booths with backgrounds and ones where you look drawn. Snack, food court. Create a selfie. Color an animal figurine. Design a car or outfit to be modeled on the screen. Area for tracing/texture rubbing. Area where kids play with an interactive projector screen on the floor. There was an area that was closed when we came on a Thursday and curiosity is killing me. If you want to have a birthday here, there are multiple rooms to choose from. We have the annual pass so we will definitely be back to try the other activities! read more

Had the pleasure of visiting this place. We are not from the area and wanted an affordable/kid-friendly activity for our 3 yr old. Bought tickets online for a discounted price. Upon arrival we were greeted by friendly and helpful staff. Rachel was one of the staff that had such a great attitude. She hosted the crayola crayon show and had such great energy. Crayola is lucky to have an outstanding person representing their brand. She made our visit very enjoyable and memorable. Lots of hands-on activities for the kids to get entertained with. Honestly if you have a young kid this is well worth your money. I'm extra grown and had a blast. My toddler was running around for hours making crayons, art pictures, scrubbies, taking photos, playing on the climbing gym, playing with clay, and of course coloring. Everything I mentioned above is included with entry, you have to pay additional to make a wax hand and slime. They are about 15 dollars each. What a great experience! I went by myself because I had a few hours to spare before my flight, I went and a ticket cost about $30. With it you get two token that you can use to redeem a crayon and customize the paper that goes around it and a free scribbler. This place is geared more towards children but as a twenty something adult woman I would say that I enjoyed my time there. I hate leaving reviews like this. My wife and I took our daughter here on her birthday while on vacation during a rain storm. My wife saw something stating free entry on a childs birthday. We were looking forward to an enjoyable experience. Upon entering we waited in line for our turn to buy tickets. When it was our turn we approached the counter were two employees were working. One employee rudely asked us how many tickets. When my wife inquired about about what she had saw the employee asked for proof that it was our childs birthday such as a birth certificate or an identification card. My wife informed that our child was three and the employee said it does not matter we needed to provide proof of her date of birth. My wife and I went a head and bought the three tickets to get in. They do not have child prices or at least that is what the rude employee stated. So it was $30 a person before taxes just to enter. so after taxes is was close to $100 just to enter. After purchasing the tickets we had to get checked by security and then another lady (the two politest people working) was handing out bags with two tokens and a slip to exchange for a small animal type toy to color on. it was about the size of a small toy from Mcdonalds. The tokens could be used for a few small Crayola items from small machines. Upstairs was where all the activities were. There was a wide variety of things for kids to do but it was all disorganized and chaotic how things were ran. Most employees working did really not seem to know what they were doing or at least made it seem that way. Also, a lot of activities were closed because it was not a weekend. I was thinking it is summer and school is out so why not have them open. Plus, it was extremely busy. While upstairs we went to the concession stand since the little restaurant area was closed. The employee working the concession stand had no clue what she was doing. she was burning popcorn and serving it to customers. The hot dogs were not cooked and the pizza slices were cold. I would not recommend going to this location. My family will not be going back. read more

This is a great rainy day activity for little kids who need to get wiggles out and parents who want an indoor space when it is too hot or storming out to take your kiddo. It was a fun visit for my 5-year-old, who enjoyed the playground, getting custom crayons, and doing all the activities. We are locals to Orlando and love coming here we bought an annual pass. While the regular visits are great, the seasonal visits during Halloween and the holidays are even extra special. This attraction is more of a cross between entertainment and a science museum. It is very fun for kids and families alike. The earlier you get there, the less busy it is. Pro tip, this space is pretty far from the dining pavilion at the mall so I recommend having a bite with your family before you get there. However, the snacks and cafe are pretty reasonably priced! read more

Didn't know what to expect, but went to their website and was able to get an idea. However it was a lot more fun than we imagine. Purposely didn't take any pictures inside because if you're gonna go check out the website and then experience it. Pro's: The kids had a blast Lots to do! Over 11 stations that I can remember. Staff was friendly & nice Cost of your admission you get quite a bit souvenirs to take home. Con's: Parents leave their kids unattended, which is really their responsibility , but it does take away from theexperience. The Extras are over priced. It was $20 to do your hand wax, which is crazy considering it it's made out of crayons. $15 to make your own slime which the kids did really enjoy just if you have three kids you're spending over $45 for that one extra. Another aspect that wasn't fun was that if I wanted to help my 5 year old to make slime I would have to pay $15 for the spot which I have no interest in making slime. I get that Orlando is a tourist destination and it's pricey, but it just felt that it was pricier than it needed to be like a smart water bottle was $6.99 read more
