Grill

So excited for this to be here. I attended today for a soft opening. It was amazing. Had almost everything ready except for a few small add-on items for the noodles that was already sold out. Other than that, this place is going to be amazing. The entire staff was really nice and very attentive too. Made sure they got things right before they started grilling your choices. They also had a small hot & ready food section incase Mongolian noodles are not your thing. Everything is weighed right now, the menu on the tv screens are not quite ready she stated. Those will be up in a week or two for their official opening. It was very clean inside aside from the floor in front of the grill obviously, but no need to worry on that part anyway, staff only. Staff was constantly cleaning the counters & chefs were constantly cleaning the grill between cooks. Very well lit and even very lively for a soft opening. Overall, I am excited to see what more items they add like more sauces and stuff as the official opening approaches.

Chinese food

Did the Chinese food today. Everything was fresh and delicious. I sampled everything but the beef and broccoli. Outstanding flavors all in all. Meats were tender and not dry and overcooked. Every single item had a distinct flavor. I will say the sesame balls were smaller and not as mushy as before. Dumplings were nice with lots of flavor i believe they were pork. I would have be liked to have peanuts in my kung pao. Maybe next time I'll reach over to the Mongolian bbq side and a spoonful or two. Everyone there is very friendly. I will say I was very cold inside today. My food got cold too. But it's going to get hot today so they were prepared.

Buffet food

We enjoyed our food, it was the Buffett style since the Mongolian wok was too full, it was a big line and everything looked so good, so maybe next time I'll try the Mongolian wok, the Chinese food buffet it's by the pound too, you serve whatever you want and then they weight it for you and you pay depending of the weight, it was very good and fresh, we really like this place and we are coming back for sure

The ambience is very loud, clean and everyone is enjoying their food! A tiny bit compact though.

I've been meaning to get around to coming here and today was the day!!! As soon as we got to the parking, there was a line outside the right of the building. (This line is for the Mongolian grill FYI) the lady explained that if you are going to get Mongolian to wait in the line but if you are just getting the pre-made (buffet style) Chinese food to use the left entrance. As soon as we entered I noticed the place was very clean and the staff is very welcoming and friendly. I even overhead one of the nice ladies asking for recommendations to some customers which is nice that they want feedback! There was a gentleman with a microphone (super nice and funny btw!) that was checking on the food periodically and requesting the staff in the back to make more of what was running low in the restaurant. I had to wait a bit for the entrees I wanted which was okay with me because I prefer it fresh!! I will admit I was kind of skeptical about the pay by LB option but for 2 plates pretty packed was around 30$ with drinks! They also applied a soft opening 10% so it was good pricing for me! The food was delicious the chow mein has good flavor, teriyaki chicken was sweet and soft and oh my favorite was the beef broccoli it was so flavorful and broccoli was soft!!! My husband got some wings in his plate and he said they were good and crunchy? lol my daughter enjoyed her little bowl of beef broccoli (mostly broccoli) and noodles!! My recommendation would be them making this place bigger because I feel like Highland has been in need of a Chinese food/ Mongolian grill style restaurant!

I wanted to like this place so badly because my daughter and I love Mongolian noodles. We're big fans of everything from Chinese food to Mongolian grill, so we were really excited to finally try this place, especially since it's closer to home than the mall location we usually visit. We actually tried coming here last Sunday night, but the line was long that we decided to come back another time. This morning, we decided to give it another try. The restaurant is clean and nice, although it's a little small if you're trying to dine in when it's busy. Service was okay. We got two big plates of Mongolian grill with spicy garlic and teriyaki sauce. Everything looked good until we actually tasted it. Unfortunately, the sauce was extremely sweet--way more than we expected. My daughter could barely eat hers because of how sweet it was. I thought maybe I could save it when we got home, so I added some oyster sauce and soy sauce diluted with water, hoping it would balance out the sweetness. Unfortunately, there was still something about the flavor that we just couldn't get past. It remained overwhelmingly sweet. I really wanted to love this place, especially because it's so much closer to home, but unfortunately, the sweetness of the food was a dealbreaker for us. Maybe we just ordered the wrong combination of sauces, but based on this visit, we probably won't be rushing back.

Mongolian Style Grilled plate

We decided to try it out since it recently opened and it was delicious!! Everyone was helpful with explaining how it works, everything is self serve and cost by the lb. As of now it's $6.99 per lb which didn't seem pricey. $30 for a Chinese food plate and a grilled plate with large drink. Food was hot and stayed hot as we finished it lol I believe the owner was walking around cleaning and welcoming everyone! Great service!!

Soft opening 9/21

First Mongolian and Chinese spot that you pay by the pound in the new shopping center off greenspot. They make sure the food is hot and fresh. This place was much needed and the place is really nice and the food was really good. My family came in right before the closed down to refresh, and even the food that had 'sat out' was incredibly fresh, crunchy and flavorful! Will definitely be back!

Here's what we ordered: Gyro - no tomatoes ** meat was delicious, everything about the gyro was a hit and I've had my share to know what's good Chicken Shawarma sandwich - with everything ** my third daughter ordered this and really enjoyed it Egyptian Pizza - there's only like 3 choices, the guy there recommended the meat, veggies, and cheese. ** I'm not a fan of anything soggy foods because I'm that person that won't eat it right away. The pizza is a little bigger than a personal sized pizza you would get from Pizza hut, but in the form of a calzone cut in 4. It's a little on the greasy end, my first and fourth daughter said it was just okay. Turkey Sandwich - w/no lettuce or tomatoes ** Again, I don't like soggy foods, so ordering this sandwich was a treat for lunch the next day. Sandwich is good, cheese is too thick for me, I tried reheating it during lunch, but the cheese refused to melt...so there's that! Baklava - Ordered a lot because who doesn't like baklava? I will however, suggest that you get the baklava tray in the actual market, it comes with a variety of flavors and it's only $11.99 (wish I had gotten a pic, but here we are)! Overall, I would recommend this spot to others curious about Egyptian food, it's similar to Mediterranean and worth the try. We would most likely return for the Gyro and Chicken Shawarma sandwiches. Oh and we also checked out the juice bar, the drinks were good too!

We had an absolutely outstanding experience and I can't say enough good things about this place…read more We placed a large order to help feed our church after service, and from start to finish everything exceeded expectations. My wife initially connected with Anna, who was phenomenal. I later met with her in person to place the deposit, and she was incredibly warm, accommodating, and welcoming. She even took the time to offer us a few samples of their prepared foods, which was such a thoughtful touch. Before leaving, I decided to grab about 2 pounds of pork pastor for dinner, and asked if they could cook it for me. I was genuinely shocked in the best way at how affordable it was. The price for the meat plus the cooking fee came out to less than $10. When I got home and tried it, all I can say is wow. The pork was incredibly flavorful, tender, and absolutely delicious. The next day when I returned to pick up our large order, everything was ready right on time. The team went above and beyond by helping load everything into my car and even placing napkins underneath the trays to prevent any spills. That level of care really stood out. At church, everyone kept talking about how great the food was. The chicken and steak were both big hits, the beans were very good, and I was honestly surprised at how fresh and flavorful the guacamole was. All in all, this was a top-tier experience. I highly recommend this place for both your meat needs and catering. Special thanks to Anna and her daughter for taking such great care of us. We will definitely be coming back!

No complaints though, because the food is so good. The carne asada burrito is officially our favorite, and I'm definitely trying the menudo next time. It's such a cute little neighborhood market with super friendly staff. They sell fresh food, drinks, homemade gelatin, and you can even buy fresh meat from the counter and have them cook it up for you. We'll definitely be making this our monthly post-volunteering tradition though hopefully they have horchata in stock next time!

I'm not school in regional barbecue terminology, but this seemed like more of the direct fire kind of ribs than low-and-slow.
