When you have a hungry teenager this is the place to go. There is a wealth of variety and I loved the seafood options. Crab rangoons are always my favorite and they were hot and delicious. Service was awesome. The buffet was always being re-stocked and plates were cleared quickly from the table. Although dinner was fantastic and there was a wealth of variety the dessert section lacked something to be desired. The fruit was fresh and a good option but the pastries, cakes, and cookies were dried out and for that reason I gave this place a four of five. Went there again for Sunday buffet. There were snow crabs, raw oysters, raw clams, cooked baby clams, shrimp scampi, mussels, chilled calamari, baby octopus, crawfish and other usual buffet things. I went around almost 8pm and even though it closes at 10pm the food starts to stop coming out. The good thing is if you ask for it they usually will cook it and bring it out, but most people don't come this late so I would go earlier. Food quality-wise. The raw clam did seem dark yellowed color but no noticeable off-flavor. The raw oyster was not as sweet as the raw clam and seemed bland. Everything else was the usual. Some food did seem a bit dried up and empty but like I said try to go early probably around noon not couple hrs before they close. The price is a little high for Sunday but well worth it if you eat seafood. read more

WHAT THE FLYING FART HAPPEN TO THIS PLACE!! Usually the foods & service is not all that bad. Have been here time & time again but tonight IT SUCKED with a capital "S"!!!!! Waiter made me feel rushed. Came to the table only twice to refill my drink but he kept passing my booth with a look on his face like: " When the Foo Man Choo is this fat bast*red going to be done eating?" This is a huge buffet with so many options. You will not go away hungry. There are so many different options of chicken from orange, general tso, sesame, black pepper and chicken and vegetables. I was so stuffed after eating lots of thing. I couldn't eat everything I wanted cause it was so much food. I will be back again and maybe I will start at the other counter and work my way backwards than I did this time to make sure I try the other things. This used to be a weekly visit for my daughter and I. We moved a little further away and haven't been in months. She loves the crab legs. In the hour and a half we were there, crab legs were brought out once and maybe 3 lbs for the entire restaurant were brought out. There were several tables and even people posting up by where the crab legs are kept at the steam table. The chicken on a stick was so dry and old along with the pizza which she also likes. This place is an unmitigated disaster. I prepared my body mentally for what I was about to have to put it through. I walked in and the fried heat of terrible quality food overcame me. The floors were damp from the grease that polluted the air. Then I looked at the food. It looked like they basically took the food that was supposed to be thrown away, and are serving it to people. The place was disgusting and the food was uneditable. I gagged trying to eat anything here. A terrible excuse for a food establishment. I hate fast food, but a McDonald's and even the Wendy's nearby are heavy upgrades to this dump and it is a dump of the highest order. The Absolute worst restaurant I have ever been to in the greater NY area. If you aren't trying to stuff your face full of the worst food ever and be around people that do the same, keep looking for other options, because ANY other option was better. $38 for two people, I would rather go to a haunted house for $38! Oh this was such a bad experience. If you're used to seeing the word Mongolian and expecting a raw bar where you make your dish then bring it to someone who cooks it in front of you, this will be a HUGE LET DOWN. First of all, we walk in and the place is crowded. I noticed oh, this is not a Mongolian grill, this is a buffet. Automatically disappointed. We go to make plates of food. There is unlabeled sushi rolls, and a teeny tiny section where they can make you hibachi style plates. Then theres the buffet part. Theres about 10 different fried and sauced chickens. Black Pepper chicken, Honey chicken, General Tso Chicken, ect... There's also things like pepperoni pizza-that may have been a frozen pizza, and mac and cheese. It was a bizarre mixture of high sodium, real bad, sat out too long food. Then there is the dessert portion of the buffet. My recommendation is to just avoid this area, it's all barely edible. I love Japanese cheesecake, so I grabbed a slice. I'm pretty sure this was a frozen sponge cake, and thats all. Then there were very overcooked chocolate chip cookies-some still have parchment paper stuck to the bottom. The restaurant itself does not even look that clean. It was no good. This was not a good meal, so let me just get that out of the way first. Generally when you go to a Mongolian Buffet it's more of a Hibachi experience (or at least it was the places I went) and this is pretty much just another mediocre Chinese buffet. The place itself is a good size and has plenty of seating and the staff was also quick to provide beverages. The back of the restaurant has a small sushi section where the sushi isn't even labeled so you can't really identify what is what. Next to that is the "Hibachi" section with one variety of noodle and a bare minimal selection of meat and vegetables. The buffet section was actually pretty big, my main issue is that we went at 5:00PM on a Saturday and I'm trying to figure out why the meat was cold when the place was full of people, was it not cooked? was it sitting on ice? I don't know, and honestly I don't even want to. Overall the meal was mediocre at best and left me wishing I had gone somewhere else. read more

Below average even for a buffet. Everything I got was either cold or Luke warm. Only item hot was the hibachi grill which was just ok.

I've never been here before and will never go back. We arrived at 7 on a Friday evening and the place was busy. The crab was empty for 45 minutes and when a small pan came out, about 4 people got some. It was very soft and mushy, must've been soaking in water awhile. Every other offering on the hot tables was over cooked, tough and chewy, and cold! Plenty of unmarked dishes, including the sushi bar, don't know what was there, wouldn't eat it. The only thing that was edible was the ice cream, and I could get that anywhere. The girl cleaning off the plates from our table dropped a couple crawfish tails on the table, and we looked at them for the rest of the time we were there. FIRST TIME THERE WAS DECENT. 2nd time we were one of the 1st ones for luch. Everything was ice cold left overs. A nys health inspector sat right behind us and was walking around with a digital thermometer and shaking his head at everything he poked. He kept walking in to the kitchen and talking to the cooks. You could tell all the employees were nervous. We were so grossed out we stopped eating. By the time we left everything finally started to steam. My favorite buffet! Lots of fresh seafood, lots of yummy food. I can't understand how some people can graze for hours and eat plate after plate of seafood! We went in for a late lunch at 3:15, asked waitress if it was still lunch, she said yes. My husband went up to get 2nd plate of food, mostly seafood, and waitress started saying that's dinner. I told her she said lunch, she went to young man at register who said same thing. He took my husbands plate of food away. There isn't a sign saying when lunch stops and dinner starts. What they did was put done small labels that said dinner after they started bringing out more food, labels so small they were basically unnoticeable. I have been to most of the Chinese buffets in WNY. This is one of the best in the area. The catfish in garlic sauce is unique to the Mongolian and is deliciois. The place was packed tonight but the buffet was always stocked and the food was very good as usual. Table clearing was a bit slow but it was understandable. read more

Decent selection and for all you can eat on a weeknight price of $14.99, it was not bad. There were a lot of families there. People, it's a Chinese Buffet; it is not the Tavern On the Green. I don't understand how people can expect more from a Chinese Buffet. I've been to many and they all are pretty much the same as far as food quality. If you want higher quality food, go to a sit-down restaurant and order off of the menu. If you like crab legs, this is the place for dinner. I get my money's worth off of my first plate of crab legs; they are as big as what Red Lobster sells for $20/pound .. and I can eat as many as I want. The hibachi and sushi are an added bonus. If you are looking for 5 star service .. you might want to avoid Chinese Buffets all together .. to those who expect intimate dialogue with your server at these places ... all I can say is REALLY??? What world are you living in? And, what Chinese buffet have you been to where this happens? I'd like to know. All I expect from the server when I go to these places is a full drink and the bill at the end of the meal. They barely even speak English. And, I think the servers here are as friendly as anywhere else. This place is "what it is" .. and it is one of the best in Buffalo, if not the best. My only complaint is the ice-cream ...
