When I first took a look at the menu, I was a little hesitant that they offered AYCE for only $10. First, you gather all your raw food whether it be beef, lamb, veggies, noodles, etc. After your two bowls are full, you wait in line for the chef to cook it right in front of you. Stopped by here with my boyfriend to get something to eat for lunch! I have been at this location before with my sisters and really enjoyed it so wanted to take my boyfriend as well. We went on the weekend so they had a special price of $7.99 for as much as you can fit into one of their bowls. I pack as much meat, vegetables, noodles, sauce, and whatever else I can to make my money worth it. It's cool to watch them cook it in front of you and the wait wasn't long when my boyfriend and I went. We were served quickly and there were no problems! I had eaten there 3 times with no issues, but after ordering Chinese from this restaurant on 12/21/13, my family and I got a severe case of food poisoning that had me, husband, and our child end up in the emergency room. We were sick for two days, explosive vomiting and diarrhea. We were in extreme pain. I eat at mom & pop hole in the wall greasy spoon type places all the time, but this was a first. I do not wish that experience on my worst enemy! The doctor said the bacteria was most likely present in the steamed rice we had, because the rice is usually stored all day in a large warm cooker, and sometimes reused over a few days, so bacteria thrives in there. He said that a case that extreme means something in the restaurant was pretty badly contaminated. I also think it may have been in the Mongolian Beef, because the person who ate most of that item was the most violently ill. I'm so disappointed, because I did like this place. I would recommend you find elsewhere, or at least, don't eat their Chinese dishes or rice, only eat the Mongolian BBQ that is cooked fresh? Beware anything else. read more

Overall I enjoyed my meal here. I ordered the buffet and a side of egg rolls. All of the veg was very fresh and the employees very friendly. They have quite an extensive menu apart from the buffet and I will likely be going back to try other menu options. Cons: My pet peeves are always the same, and the reason for the score. There is dust all over the lighting fixtures and ac vents. The decor is shabby and dated. It makes the place seem more dirty than it really is. Tip of the day: Do not go when they are closing soon...... or even an hour before they close Dining here today turned out to be a disaster. We arrived here around 8:30, which was an hour before they closed. Now i understand the business slowed down past the dinner hours, but hey you still had to respect the customers that were eating there. Couple taboos i experienced from this time around: - The beef was depleted and they showed no signs of replenishing it. In fact, the beef was done for the day, and it was like shouting out "too bad please come early next time......" - We were the only table at the time, but that didn't justify you could just start cleaning tables and even putting chairs on top of them. It felt like eating what was left as waiters in the after hours when the restaurant closed, so employee discount for me? - And you thought that was it, WRONG they started mopping the floor near you. On my way back from a desert camping trip, I happened to got a craving for mongolian bbq. So I googles to see if there was anything near by on our path. And behold, I found this little gem. This is by far my favorite Mongolian BBQ joint across the country. I've been back several times and even made a detour just to make a stop here. The owner is SUPER clean. There is a clean wash station at the end, so as they cook the food, you can wash your hands and not get salmonella from handling the raw pork and chicken. The veggies was washed and prepared in the open kitchen in the back. I was pleasantly surprised at how clean they were, it's as if they would eat the food themselves. After they cooked your food, they would do a quick wipe down of the grill, so flavors don't get mixed, and for those who don't eat meat....I was happy to see that they cooked the meat dish separate from the veggie dish after they rinsed the grill from the meat they cooked. can I say WOW, impressive. There was also someone standing by the ingredient line to clean up when others drop stuff outside the bin or remove the ingredient someone has touched with their hands. Such attentive service. By the time we return to our seat with our plate, there was egg drop soup, egg roll, seasame ball, and tea set out for us. I was not expecting a Michelin Star service and taste, but for $9.00-ish a person with unlimited trips to try other combinations and the sides. I was highly impressed with the fresh veggies, fresh quality meat, and cleanliness to include great service. I also like to note that this is the ONLY Mongolian BBQ joint I've been to where they actually rotate the frozen meat and not let it sit there to thaw and grow bacteria. Bravo to them in maintaining health and sanitation. Flavorful, friendly attentive service, CLEAN, and great value. What more can I ask for. Wish more places were like this place. read more

So, we've been here a few times now. The family loves the place, especially my husband (who, btw, is not that big of an Asian food fan...he tolerates it for me, but not a fan). The times we've been there all the veggies and meats were fresh. We like the many sauce options. The soup, wontons and bread that come with meal are eh. I believe it's all you can eat for dinner but not during lunch. Service can be iffy depending who's there...the guys manning the grill are nice though. One time, my daughter didn't put enough sauce and the cook told her to go back and get more. He even gave her suggestions on the sauce combinations. Remember, this is MORENO VALLEY we're talking here, so please don't come back to me saying "You're a liar. How could you rate this place so high? I've had so much better in *name of high class city*". I dunno, quit slumming in Moreno Valley then, I guess. I came in for lunch and availed of their $5.99 lunch special. This includes 1 bowl of Mongolian BBQ that you create on your own, a piece of flat bread, a small bowl of egg drop soup, and 2 meat-filled wontons. Egg drop soup: OK. Nothing special, but I'm not such a hot fan of egg drop soup anyways. Still, it didn't taste awful and I finished the small bowl of soup (perhaps I like egg drop soup a little more than I realized :P) Flat bread: Tasty. It was like a heated flour tortilla, but it had a slightly different flavor. Wontons: Surprisingly good. I wasn't going to eat it as I incorrectly assumed it was cream cheese wontons, but I got curious and broke one open. They were filled with meat and it was pretty good. They were freshly made too and if you eat fried wontons, you know this makes a huge difference. As for the main reason I came here (and perhaps the reason you read this far)... Mongolian BBQ bowl: The bowl is as good as you make it. You can follow the guidelines for the different sauce mixes (very nice that they have a chart above the sauces), or you can go and try something you completely made up. I chose to follow their guide for the most part, but in the end I added more sesame oil because sesame oil + Asian food = tastiness. And boy was it tasty! At lunch you have your choice of the following meats - beef, turkey and lamb. As for veggies I noticed they had fresh mushrooms, canned shitake mushrooms, pineapples, cilantro, bean sprouts, baby bok choy, spinach, broccoli, and a few other items. Not a bad spread of choices for $5.99. After putting together your bowl, you take it to the cook who then cooks it right in front of you. Fun to watch since they have large sticks to help them cook the food. Afterwards, you can then add on other flavors such as sesame seeds (yes!) and chili oil. Overall I enjoyed my food and time I spent here. This place isn't bad by any means, and I can see myself going here again and again - even if I wasn't craving Mongolian. read more

This restaurant sadly has taken a slide in quality. Arriving for lunch a sign said only one bowl of food allowed. Apparently their "all you can eat" sign in the front window means nothing. When finished with my veggies, noodles and rice I went to the desert table and got a couple of stale cream puffs and a spoon of canned peaches. I ask the cashier if I can have 2 more sauces to-go since the plates are pretty big. She got upset and gave me an attitude saying I already have too many sauces (the two she gave me already) she then went to the counter and proceeded to give me one cup and a lid. The people behind us were looking for sauce cups as well and she again went back and counted 5 cups and 5 lids and put them on the counter for the next customers. As we were checking out she still had an attitude towards us. (Not sure if she charged us more for the sauce.) I just wanted to leave the restaurant. First of all that's my daughter she's just turned 6 and I know what she likes and what she can and cannot eat due to allergies! I always think of this place for the all you can eat Mongolian BBQ that's fresh and at a reasonable price but decided to order off the menu and was very happy at what I discovered. We ordered honey walnut shrimp, fish in black bean sauce, spicy fried chicken wings and the tofu & vegetables with brown sauce to get a sampling of their cooking. Everything tasted excellent! I've been here a number of times and have always had a great experience. The decor isn't much to look at, but all of the food I've had has been extremely fresh and well-prepared. The buffet has a good variety, and all of the fresh veggies are beautiful. And you can't beat the price! Added bonus - I've got fairly serious food allergies, and the way they heat the food, it keeps your stuff on a single space on the griddle. I've been to other Mongolian places where they move the food across the whole griddle, so your stuff gets a lot of contamination from other peoples' plates, but here, your food stays on one section of the griddle until it is done. read more

If someone is complaining about the taste of the food, I would not take it very seriously. At least as far as Mongolian BBQ goes, as the customer, you put together your own bowls and sauce combinations. The way your food tastes depends entirely on how you put your food together. It may take a few trips to find out how you like your food. But once you find out how you like it, you will find it to be among the best Asian food options on this side of the city! I like how the bar is self-serve and you get to choose your own meat, noodles, veggies, and that you get to concoct your own sauce. You have the option of getting rice with your noodles, which I would recommend because the noodles can get a little salty depending on how you make your sauce.
