Service was a 10/10. The vegetales on the make your own bowl table were fresh and delicious. I also loved the spiciness of the crawfish roll. The ambiance was peaceful and quiet. We will definitely be back!

On January 17,2026, Me and my friend wanted to our sushi fix. Our waiter shared that they had a new Happy Hour menu ,so I decided to order all my food and drinks from that menu . Also, our waiter was very friendly and gave us amazing service. The ambiance was warm and inviting ,and also they played good music for everyone to listen too. Mongo, will always be that prefect place to for affordable good food, and great drinks hands down!!!

I have never reviewed this place, but it is an oldie but goodie. I have been here several times and it never disappoints. Happy is , stir fry is fresh, and sushi is delish. I usually sit at the bar and Joe is an awesome bartender. My fave drink is the Lycee Martini. Nothing too great about the decor, but it's clean and plenty of seating. I personally like to make my own bowl with Pad Thai noodles or rice. Another good option is their combo. You have your choice of sashimi, sushi, or roll.

This is a large, open restaurant with booths and tables. You can order bowls off the menu or go up and choose your ingredients. Our server, Rana, was quite helpful as this was our first time here. We had stuffed jalapeños as an appetizer and it was yummy. Hubby had the Mongolian seafood bowl and I had the Thai pepper beef bowl. Both were quite delicious as was my peach margarita. We will be back.

Daily happy hour everyday. Came with hubby and son. Food was good but drinks are a no. Water taste funny and first sprite was brown, second one had black stuff floating in it. Flavor lemonade are no refills. But rice is delicious.

Met up with a couple of friends Thursday night for their all day happy hour and sat at the bar. The service at the bar was great. The bartender was very attentive. I tried the Mongo Tea, which is their version of a Long Island. Truthfully it was a little weird to me as I didn't read the ingredients and thought it was a regular Long Island. They put tea in theirs and I'm just not a fan. It was my fault though for not reading the obvious ingredients on the menu. Moved to rum and Coke after that and it was good. As far as the food... I ordered eggrolls as an app and they were good! Yummy. Ended up going with the chicken hibachi and I was just ok. Not really what I was expecting as I usually get chicken hibachi at Sakura and it's soooo different at mongos. They don't use a lot of seasoning, if any, and their white sauce is like water. My friends had the chicken friend rice and wontons and said they were good. The restaurant was nice and clean. Bathrooms were clean. Atmosphere was good. I'll definitely be back. Just not for hibachi.

The bartender Joseph provided great service. I ordered the crunchy roll cooked for $7 and a mango martini from the happy hour all day menu and both were yummy. I've been coming here on and off for a while and the drinks are always strong. It's a good place to stop in and grab a drink or affordable food before or after you shop. The place and welcoming and the service is pretty good. I recommend it.

We randomly stopped in to check out this place as we never been. I do have to say , " the food was Good, the service was fast , and the meals were at an affordable price. This night, we opted for sushi , drinks and appetizers, which was very good . We figured , we would try it out first before we go for dinner. Pleasantly, the food was fresh , hot and had great flavor . Our service was great as well. Next time, I plan to explore the dinner menu. This to me deserves 4 stars as I had no issues with the service, comfortability, food or pricing.

Decided to try this due to the eat drink HTX 2024 special. We were able to get 3 courses for $25! What a steal! The process was very easy and the waiter was attentive to our needs. Definitely a nice restaurant for a date night. We went to the bar to make our bowl, when our table was clean. That is the only reason why I am giving this restaurant 4 stars. Our appetizers were gone as well as our drinks. The waiter was so nice that he refilled our drinks and appetizers. Overall, it was a good experience.

Something so simple was transformed into something memorable. And the dessert? Absolutely spectacular. The presentation alone deserved applause, but somehow the flavor exceeded even that. We were one of only a few tables on a Tuesday evening and we had very attentive service! Our server came back for many, many sushi, sashimi and nigiri requests. We started off with our appetizers - I especially enjoyed the shumai and yellowtail jalapeño. We put in a ton of sashimi orders which came out pretty quickly! We also put in several specialty roll orders at the beginning of dinner though those came out later in our meal. By then, we were getting full from quite a few nigiri and sashimi pieces - though we did have a lot of orders which probably got a bit confusing! When the specialty rolls (the stars of the show) arrived, we took our Yelp-worthy pics of a gorgeous sushi boat before we dug in! The boat made for such a great presentation and it was so easy for all of our party to reach in and grab a few pieces. The standout of the night was the namesake Yamamori roll - that eel, tuna and avocado combo was such a hit! I enjoyed all the other specialty rolls as well. For dessert I had a few bites of my friend's green tea and was so impressed - the flavor was very well-balanced and not too sweet. I had a full serving of the red bean strawberry ice cream - it was my first time having a red bean flavored ice cream and I really liked it! I found that it balanced the sweetness of the strawberry well. My friends opted for the banana and Oreo tempura which looked delicious. This is a great AYCE option if you are in the Pearland area, and it's worth the drive even if you live elsewhere!

This time we ventured…read moreto Haley M.'s part of town to try Yamamori, one of the few AYCE sushi restaurants in Pearland. On Tuesday evening, we were 1 of 3 occupied tables and received fantastic, attentive service - our server was very patient with us as we awaited our full party's arrival and perused the lengthy menu, which AYCE enthusiasts will notice is very similar to that of Sushi Masa. Before long, our hot appetizers arrived quickly to the table, followed by the chilled/marinated tataki, which helped assuage our ravenous appetites! It took a little longer for our nigiri and sashimi to arrive, but we quickly divvied up the fresh, well-portioned spoils. Note that yellowtail/hamachi is not listed on the AYCE menu, though our server confirmed that it is available to order. Our selection of rolls took the longest to arrive - yet they were well worth the wait! The namesake Yamamori roll and the lemon-inflected Nemo roll were standouts; all the maki were well-sized, sturdily constructed, and tasted distinct from one another. We concluded our episode of gluttony with banana tempura à la mode, a deliciously crispy and creamy end to our sushi feast. While I typically batch our group orders to help out our servers, I think it may have worked against us as we ended up waiting longer for large sashimi and maki plates as opposed to smaller, personal orders. It's possible that our wait time was simply a reflection of their level of staffing for a weeknight; it's hard to predict how things might flow on the weekend when there are both more sushi chefs and more tables. All in all, Yamamori is a solid choice for folks in Pearland and south Houston - I'd come back if they added seared options to the menu or if I found myself craving sushi in the area!

The bartender was rude to myself and my daughter, but when my husband went to confront him about it he was quiet about what he did. This used to be one of our favorite lunch spots. We come twice a week! We have never had a problem there and all of the daytime staff wave at us when we enter. After the situation is "over" the server comes to the table and apologized for what we may have over heard because the bartender was still at the bar disrespecting my family. He never puts our order in and keeps going outside to vape, slamming the door constantly by our table.
